Nance was not available for Saturday’s win over the Bulls, which was Cleveland’s second game in as many nights. Dean Wade absorbed most of the minutes that would have gone to Nance, with Tyrese Proctor sneaking into the back end of the rotation. That will likely remain the case if Nance cannot play on Monday.

Mitchell stepped out of the metaphorical phone booth in the closing moments, scoring eight straight points in 65 seconds — including a go-ahead bucket with 34 seconds left — to help Cleveland erase a six-point deficit in the final two minutes. The 29-year-old scoring machine has been a top-10 fantasy player early in the season, averaging 30 points, three rebounds, five assists, and two steals through nine games. The Cavaliers have won four straight and will look to keep rolling when they open a two-game set in Miami on Monday evening.

Hunter stepped up to shoulder more of the scoring and play-making workload in this one with Darius Garland, who made his season debut earlier this week following offseason toe surgery, held out on the tail-end of a back-to-back. Jaylon Tyson got the start in place of Garland, which figures to happen again early next week against the Heat. He finished with 17 points and seven rebounds in 30 minutes. Hunter delivered several highlight-reel worthy plays, including four three-pointers and a massive dunk after dropping Josh Giddey with a phenomenal crossover in the second quarter.

Mobley was one of the key reasons why Cleveland pulled out their fourth straight win as he fell just shy of a double-double for the second consecutive contest. The 24-year-old interior presence is averaging 20 points, nine rebounds and a career-best four assists per-game through 10 contests at the outset of the season. He’s performing at a borderline second-round value so far, which is a nice bonus for fantasy managers.

The rookie returned to the rotation with the Hawks playing without five key pieces, and he delivered energy off the bench, which resulted in production in the box score. Both Newell and Vit Krejci scored 17 points off the bench and joined all five starters in scoring in double figures. This was an excellent performance for both players, especially considering neither was in the rotation on Friday night. Both are capable, but they won’t be part of the rotation on most nights, making them valuable only in dynasty leagues.

The Hawks played this game without their top four scorers, which meant that more offensive responsibility fell to Daniels. While he didn’t provide his typical dose of steals, he was able to turn in his best offensive performance of the season and set a new career-high for assists. Though he won’t get this many assists often, he has averaged seven assists per game since Trae Young (knee) went down. With Young still weeks away from a return, Daniels will continue to play a larger role on offense, though he won’t be a reliable scoring option.

Gueye moved into the starting lineup in place of Jalen Johnson (quad), and he took advantage of the opportunity. This was his second start of the year, and he has made a big impact both times. Gueye was one of seven players to score in double figures for the Hawks in what was a dominant win for a shorthanded squad. Unfortunately, there are too many mouths to feed in Atlanta for Gueye to play this much consistently, but he’s worth streaming when he gets the chance to start, and he’s a valuable piece in dynasty leagues.

Wallace, Gueye and Okongwu will replace Nickeil Alexander-Walker (back), Jalen Johnson (quad) and Kristaps Porzingis (rest) in the starting unit on the second night of a back-to-back. This will be a shorthanded rotation for Atlanta, with Trae Young (knee) and Luke Kennard (illness) also out, which means Asa Newell and Vit Krejci should play big minutes off the bench.

Nance is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Bulls with a knee injury. Jaylon Tyson and Dean Wade (eye) if he’s available could see extra minutes if Nance is out. Wade left Wednesday’s game against the 76ers with an eye injury and was ruled out Friday against the Wizards. The 28-year-old power forward is questionable for Saturday, which is a good sign as his return to the court isn’t far off. Garland had 20 points and nine assists in the Cavaliers’ victory over the Wizards on Friday night, but he’ll sit out the second game of the back-to-back against the Bulls on Saturday. Alexander-Walker is dealing with a low back strain. The Hawks suddenly have a long list of injuries with Trae Young, Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kennard already ruled out and Jalen Johnson questionable as well as Alexander-Walker. Porzingis had 17 points on 16 shots in Friday’s loss to the Raptors, but made his presence known with four blocked shots on the defensive end. Porziņģis had a tough night from beyond the arc, making one of his seven attempts, and that sank his overall field-goal percentage. However, the 7-foot-2 center provided solid value in the rebound and blocked shot categories, so all wasn’t lost for fantasy managers. Porziņģis is providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats this season, but his value has decreased somewhat since Trae Young went down with a knee injury.

Johnson, who did everything but block a shot on Friday, once again led the Hawks in scoring. Since Halloween, the first day Atlanta played a game without the injured Trae Young, Johnson has averaged 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 three pointers while shooting 57.9 percent from the field. For the season, he’s ranked just outside the top-25 in nine-cat formats, building on what was an excellent 2024-25 season before a shoulder injury sidelined him in January.

ATL • Guard • #9

Alexander-Walker did not provide any defensive stats on Friday, and that has limited his fantasy value since replacing the injured Trae Young in the starting lineup. While NAW is averaging 19.3 points over his last four, he hasn’t done much on the glass (2.3 rebounds) or in the defensive categories (0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks). While the role makes Alexander-Walker a player worth rostering, he hasn’t been the factor in category leagues that many hoped he would be.

Cleveland’s “twin towers” dominated the glass on Friday, with Allen and Evan Mobley (18/10/3/1/1) combining to grab 24 rebounds. Twelve of those boards were on the offensive end of the floor, and Cleveland grabbed 25 offensive rebounds as a team. Since returning to the lineup after missing two games with a fractured finger, Allen has totaled 40 points, 24 rebounds, four assists, five steals and four blocked shots. Mobley will be the focal point in the frontcourt for Cleveland, but that doesn’t eliminate Allen’s fantasy value.

Mitchell didn’t have a great shooting night overall, but he did make 40 percent of his three-point attempts and record a complete stat line. Even better for the Cavaliers is that he only needed 26 minutes to do so, as Cleveland hosts Chicago on Saturday. Friday night worked out perfectly for Garland and the Cavaliers. He was productive, and while there was a need to run up points for NBA Cup point differential reasons, Cleveland did not need to extend their starting point guard too far. The question now is whether Garland will be available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls. Before Friday’s victory, Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson did not rule out the possibility of Garland playing both games. Fantasy managers should consider him questionable, with Sam Merrill (14/2/2/1 with four three-pointers) and Jaylon Tyson (10/4/2/1 with two three-pointers) being potential replacements if Garland sits.

The Cavs will debut a new opening lineup on Friday, with Garland and Hunter starting together for the first time. Garland made his 2025-26 debut in the most recent Cavaliers win after dealing with a toe injury to begin the year. Allen, who returned after missing two games with a non-displaced fracture of his left ring finger, played while wearing a splint on his injured finger. Risacher got off to a sizzling-hot start with 11 points in the opening four minutes of this one, finishing the first half with a game-high 16 points. He knocked down six of 10 from the floor during that span, including a pair of three pointers to propel the Hawks to a 17-point halftime lead. The 20-year-old former lottery pick will continue shouldering a larger role for Atlanta with offensive catalyst Trae Young facing a four-week absence with an MCL sprain in his right knee. Like Jalen Johnson, Daniels’ fantasy value has improved since the Hawks lost Trae Young to a sprained right MCL. In the two games the Hawks’ point guard has missed, Daniels has totaled 36 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, seven steals and one blocked shot while shooting 16-of-25 from the field. Porziņģis had a relatively quiet night scoring-wise, but he grabbed double-digit rebounds for the first time this season. And with Trae Young (knee) out, KP will likely have to do more as a rebounder and defender to keep his fantasy value up. In the two games Young has missed, Porziņģis has scored 15 points in both, three less than his season average (18.2).
