Schröder got the start on Wednesday and scored 26 points with James Harden (thumb) sidelined. Harden is questionable, so if he remains out and Schröder plays, he’ll get another start. Harden, who suffered a nondisplaced fracture of his right thumb during Tuesday’s win over the Knicks, did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Bucks. The Cavaliers were down three starters for Wednesday’s game, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Tyson. The second-year wing recorded his sixth double-double of the season, with his final stat line only lacking a three-pointer. Cleveland still has games against the Pistons and Nets to end Week 18, and Tyson’s fantasy value will depend on the availability of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden. If both have to miss time, Tyson will likely remain in the starting five.

With Wednesday’s game being the team’s second in as many nights, the Cavaliers were unsurprisingly without Evan Mobley. That, combined with the absences of James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, opened things up for Allen offensively, and he took advantage. The 29 points were the most he’s scored in a game in nearly three weeks, having last hit that number in a February 7 win over the Kings. Allen also recorded his fifth straight double-double, continuing to flourish as a fantasy option.

With James Harden (thumb) sidelined, Schröder made his first start since being traded to Cleveland. The veteran point guard played well, shooting the ball efficiently and dishing out five assists. Schröder’s 26 points were one shy of his season-high, and this was his first game with more than 12 points as a Cavalier. His streaming value moving forward depends on Harden and Donovan Mitchell’s health, with the latter sitting out Wednesday’s game with a strained groin.

Harden had X-rays done after injuring his non-shooting thumb against New York, which revealed a non-displaced fracture of the distal phalanx. He’s current listed as questionable, and he’ll continue to undergo treatment. The team will provide updates as appropriate, but it seems likely that he misses this game against Milwaukee. Allen continues to flourish, with the double-double being his fourth in as many games and sixth since the Cavaliers acquired James Harden. While Evan Mobley (12/7/1/1 with one three-pointer) being under a minutes limit has been a factor, that doesn’t nullify the work that Allen has done. Since the trade, he has provided top-50 per-game value in nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster, while sitting just outside of that threshold in eight-cat. With the Cavaliers visiting the Bucks on Wednesday, Mobley may sit for injury management reasons. If so, Allen’s fantasy ceiling will be raised.

Harden’s four assists were the fewest he’s recorded in a game since joining the Cavaliers, but it didn’t matter much on a night when Cleveland held New York to 11 third-quarter points. Since the trade, The Beard has provided top-25 per-game value in eight-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. While the fantasy value has dipped slightly, that’s more due to Harden and his new teammates getting acclimated to each other than to any struggles.

Mitchell didn’t shoot the ball well on Tuesday, but frequent trips to the foul line boosted the final points tally. Claxton may not have done much on the glass or as a shot-blocker, but he provided excellent value in the assist and steal categories on Tuesday. The nine helpers were the most in a game for him since December 6, when Clax dished out ten as part of a triple-double against the Pelicans. And Claxton’s three steals matched his total in his six prior appearances in February. Injury management nights are a concern for fantasy managers, especially with a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday on the horizon. That said, Claxton can provide value when on the floor.

After totaling 28 points on 9-of-25 shooting in Brooklyn’s first three games out of the All-Star break, Clowney snapped out of his mini-slump on Tuesday. He shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc while also recording a stat line that only lacked an assist. One thing fantasy managers know they’re going to get from Porter, when he’s on the floor, is scoring. While the production has been a bit inconsistent recently, he’s scored at least 22 points in three of his last five games. There were no defensive stats to speak of on Tuesday, so managers hoping to get a more robust line from Porter were disappointed. With the Nets’ final three games of Week 18 including a back-to-back, MPJ likely plays just two of those games.

Porter wasn’t efficient while handling lead scorer duties for the Nets. The 27-year-old small forward’s shot from long distance was off as he went just 1-of-8 from behind the three-point line. The Nets have four games upcoming in Week 18, starting with a matchup against the Mavericks on Tuesday.

Schröder hasn’t provided much fantasy production this season, especially since he was traded to Cleveland, but he was able to contribute a solid boost off the bench in this game. While he is still capable of being productive in fantasy hoops, the opportunity isn’t there for him with both Donovan Mitchell and James Harden healthy. Merrill started the second half of this game in place of Dean Wade, and the choice was a strong one. After scoring nine points in the first half, he had eight more in the first three minutes of the third quarter. Unfortunately, he only hit one more triple over the course of the rest of the game. This was likely a hot-hand situation, so Merrill should return to playing a role off the bench in Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

This was the first loss of the Harden era in Cleveland, but he was still able to turn in a strong performance as one of three Cavs to finish with 20 points. Sharpe was one of three Nets players to score in double figures against the Thunder. All of his scoring came from inside the arc, where he also had success securing rebounds. Friday’s total marked the fourth time in February he’s finished a game with double-digit points. Traoré had another impressive performance on Friday, scoring in double figures for the fifth time in his past six appearances. The rookie guard used a combination of interior scoring and free-throw production to tally most of his points, and did a good job defensively of collecting stocks. Traoré has come into his own late and carved out a nice role. He’s trending in the right direction, and as long as his minutes remain high, he should finish the end of the fantasy season relatively strong.

While it wasn’t his best shooting performance, MPJ volumed his way past the 20-point mark and used the free-throw line for help along the way. His inefficient three-point shooting was what specifically held him back, but Porter still contributed on the glass and led Brooklyn in assists on Friday before subbing out for the final time. Allen has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the James Harden trade, as he’s been fed the ball consistently. After playing 16 minutes in his Nets’ debut, Agbaji logged 28 minutes on Thursday and was reasonably productive. For the first time since the Cavaliers acquired James Harden, both of their talented post players were in the starting lineup.
