Haliburton had an excellent game as a facilitator in Game 1. The 25-year-old point guard moved the ball effectively as he totaled 12 assists. It wasn’t the best shooting game for Haliburton, though. He was just 3-of-13 from the field and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. While the Pacers were still able to take Game 1 by nine points in game that wasn’t as close as the final score, it’s likely they’ll need more scoring from Haliburton to close out this series.

While Turner had just five rebounds in Game 1, he was otherwise excellent. The 29-year-old center was a force on the defensive end with a steal and four blocks. On the offensive end, he was able to make four three-pointers as the Pacers pulled away from the Bucks. Turner vastly outplayed his counterpart Brook Lopez as the Pacers took a one-game advantage in the series.

Siakam led the Pacers in scoring in the Game 1 win. The 31-year-old power forward continues to show he’s one of the most underrated players in the league this year. Siakam was efficient with 25 points on 15 shots including three made three-pointers. He led Indiana with a +28 in 33 minutes in the nine-point victory. Milwaukee will have to come up with an answer for Siakam if they want to get back in this series in Game Two.

Sheppard missed the last five games of the regular season with a left great toe sprain. The 23-year-old point guard should return to a decent bench role for the series against the Bucks. Sheppard was a key reserve for the Pacers against the Bucks in the playoffs last year as he averaged 17.7 minutes per game.

Sheppard miss Indiana’s final five games of the regular season, but he should be available for their first game of the postseason. Sheppard should fill out a large reserve role and provide some floor spacing. He averaged 5.8 points in 17.7 minutes per game during their first round series against the Bucks last year.

Jackson had a short stretch as a starter in November, but he has spent most of the year on the bench or in the G League. However, he got the chance to take on extra minutes in the regular season finale and took advantage of his opportunity. The 26-year-old went undrafted in 2022 and seems to have finally found a home with the Pacers, though his role isn’t a friendly one for fantasy basketball. He won’t be part of the team’s rotation during the playoffs.

Bradley played out two 10-day contracts with Indiana before signing a deal that kept him with the Pacers for the rest of this season. He has played more than 10 minutes in just three games this season and has averaged 12 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game across them. Bradley is a decent depth piece, but both Myles Turner and Thomas Bryant will be in front of him on the depth chart for minutes at center during the postseason.

Tyson was a first-round pick last summer, but he wasn’t able to carve out a role on a talented Cavs team. That isn’t an indictment of his talent since Cleveland finished with the best record in the East. He took advantage of the opportunity to play a significant role in this game and had the best game of his young career. Tyson won’t be a factor for them during the postseason, but he has a bright future in the league.

Thompson has been an elite rebounder for his entire career, but it has been a few years since he played enough to be relevant in fantasy basketball. However, he got the chance in this game and took advantage. His 20 rebounds were the most he has had in a game since 2020 when he grabbed a career-best 22 boards. It was fun to see Thompson play this well, but he won’t see more than a few minutes during the postseason.

Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam are out again, but Nembhard, Nesmith and Turner will be back for the regular season finale. This won’t impact the standings, so they may not play many minutes. Toppin and Walker started on Friday and will remain in the opening lineup against Cleveland. Thomas Bryant and T.J. McConnell will come off the bench for this game, but they should still play significant roles.

Sheppard will miss a fifth straight game to end the regular season. With the Pacers locked into the fourth seed in the East, Johnny Furphy and Quenton Jackson are two players who should see plenty of time against the Cavaliers. The former is coming off the best game of his rookie season in Friday’s loss to the Magic and is worth a dice roll in active deep leagues.

The Cavaliers’ lineup will be depleted for Sunday’s regular-season finale. Jarrett Allen is the only rotation player of note who will be available. Unsurprisingly, Hunter and Jerome are among the Cavaliers’ rotation players who will sit out Sunday’s regular-season finale. Craig Porter Jr. and Javonte Green should figure prominently in the rotation, and there may even be room for an Emoni Bates or Chuma Okeke. Of those options, Porter is the safest for fantasy managers in active leagues.

Mitchell will miss a fourth-straight game with a sprained ankle, but he should be fine to begin the playoffs next weekend. Turner is on track to play in Sunday’s regular-season finale after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Pacers. His return would push Thomas Bryant to the bench. After sitting out Friday’s loss to the Magic, Haliburton and Siakam are off the initial injury report. Sheppard has missed four games with a toe injury, and the doubtful tag suggests Sunday’s season finale will be the fifth. Despite having secured the East’s top seed for the playoffs, the Cavaliers went all-out with their four available starters on Friday. Mobley, who did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Pacers, logged 35 minutes and recorded his 36th double-double in the comeback win over New York. He finished the 2023-24 campaign with 22 double-doubles and has benefitted from the Cavaliers making him more of an offensive focal point. Cleveland ends its regular season on Sunday against the Pacers; we’ll see how much Mobley and the other starters play.

Strus was one of three Cavaliers starters who returned to the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Pacers. He shot 5-of-12 from three on the night, including three makes during the fourth quarter. Strus’s fantasy value is limited to that of a specialist since he shares the court with four standouts ahead of him in the offensive pecking order. However, he can be helpful to fantasy managers needing three-pointers, rebounds and the occasional defensive stats. Strus and the Cavaliers host the Pacers in their regular-season finale on Sunday, and the outcome will not impact either team’s playoff seeding.

As he did in Cleveland’s win at Madison Square Garden on October 28, Garland took over during the fourth quarter on Friday. The All-Star point guard shot 6-of-6 from the field in the final frame, with five of the makes occurring in the restricted area. Garland’s charge helped Cleveland complete their rally from a 23-point deficit to win a game that had no impact on their seeding for the upcoming playoffs. With Sunday’s opponent, Indiana, also locked into its seed, fantasy managers should not expect to see Garland playing 30-plus minutes in the regular-season finale.

Furphy was not one of the Pacers moved into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, but the rookie played plenty since all five starters were unavailable. The performance was encouraging, as Furphy shot over 50 percent from the field and finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Friday’s defeat locks Indiana into the four-seed in the East, so Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Cavaliers may be another game where the starters are rested. If so, Furphy will be worth slotting into lineups in active deep leagues.

With the Pacers resting all five starters, Walker could start the team’s final home game of the regular season. The second-year forward has shown flashes of his potential throughout the season, and Friday was another of those instances. Unfortunately for Walker and dynasty league managers who have him rostered, the Pacers’ depth has capped his ceiling significantly. Indiana is locked into the four-seed in the East, so Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers may be another opportunity for Walker to start.

The Pacers sat all five of their starters for Friday’s game, as the chances of passing the Knicks for the three-seed in the East were slim. Mathurin was one of the replacements, and while the points, rebounds and steals were good, he was inefficient. He shot poorly from the field and racked up five turnovers, the most in a game for Mathurin since January 18. With Indiana knowing its seed and first-round opponent (Milwaukee), Sunday’s game against Cleveland will be another opportunity to rest the starters.

Siakam and Sheppard sat out Sunday’s win over the Nuggets, with the former’s absence being more impactful. Obi Toppin replaced Spicy P in the starting lineup and was excellent, hitting four three-pointers and scoring 22 points. He’ll remain in that role if Siakam cannot play on Tuesday. As for Sheppard, his absence led to Johnny Furphy playing a few rotation minutes, but that was not enough to impact fantasy basketball.

Mitchell sprained his left ankle during the third quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Kings. While he did return later in the quarter, there’s no reason for the Cavaliers not to give their star guard a night off. Sam Merrill was Mitchell’s replacement the last time he missed a game, which may be the case on Tuesday. While this would boost Merrill’s fantasy value slightly, he is not a must-stream player.

With Tyrese Haliburton (9/3/14/1/1 with one three-pointer) struggling to find his groove as a scorer, Nembhard was one of the Pacers who picked up the slack. Rostered in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the third-year guard has been a ninth-round player over the past two weeks. Nembhard’s fantasy ceiling remains low as Haliburton’s sidekick in the backcourt, but his floor has been relatively safe this season.

Turner did not provide much value as a rebounder, but category league managers will continue to value his points, blocks and three-pointers. The Pacers center has made 10 three-pointers and blocked 11 shots in his last three games, which has made him a third-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Due to the Pacers not having Pascal Siakam, Toppin was tabbed to make his second start of the season on Sunday. And he was productive overall, shooting 50 percent from the field. However, Toppin did most of his damage before halftime, scoring 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He was 1-of-6 from the field in the second half, but other Pacers stepped up to help Indiana keep alive its hopes of catching New York for the three-seed in the East. Mitchell tweaked his left ankle during the third quarter of Sunday’s game but returned after a quick trip to the locker room. While he had a rough night at the foul line, Mobley’s overall stat line is one from which many category league managers will benefit, especially those who entered Sunday needing defensive production. The six “stocks” were the most Mobley has recorded in a game since November 27, when he tallied four steals and three blocks in a win over the Hawks. Over the past two weeks, Mobley has been a top-25 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, providing increased value at the right time for managers whose leagues ended on Sunday.
