The Mavericks went to overtime for a second straight game, and for the second time in a row, Marshall was one of Dallas’ best scorers. Rebounding and playmaking for others were also key parts of his performance, but unfortunately, so were his season-high eight turnovers. Marshall has been, and will continue to be, one of the Mavericks’ go-to offensive options down the stretch of the season. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect a drop in production.

The first-year forward put together yet another strong stat line on Monday. Despite the loss, Flagg picked his spots and comfortably converted over 60.0 percent of his shot attempts before crossing the 30-point mark for the eighth time this season. His contributions as a passer were arguably as noteworthy, although he fell an assist short of earning a double-double. Even with a career-high seven turnovers, Flagg seemed comfortable in his minutes. He continues to impress down the stretch of his rookie season.

Gafford left the game late in the fourth quarter and was replaced by Klay Thompson. The veteran center was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the way during the overtime period, ending the night with 20 points (8-of-8 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block. If he’s forced to miss any time, Marvin Bagley III could see an increase in minutes and production.

While Flagg did not have a good night shooting the basketball, going 6-of-14 from inside the arc, his production in other categories was excellent. He matched his season-high with the four blocks and also provided good value in rebounds and assists. Over the past two weeks, Flagg has provided fourth-round value in eight-cat formats. Dallas’ three-game Week 22 does not include a back-to-back, which should ensure Flagg’s availability as long as he’s healthy.

Washington has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four appearances, and he put up solid percentages in Saturday’s overtime defeat. However, like teammate Naji Marshall, his value in category leagues is somewhat limited due to the production outside of points and rebounds. Marshall has scored at least 25 points in three of his last four games, and he got up 23 shots on Saturday. That kind of volume can help compensate for the limited defensive production, as was the case against the Clippers. Even with the increased scoring, Marshall’s category league value remains low. And he took advantage of the opportunity, not missing a shot while recording a double-double and blocking three shots. Since the All-Star break, McCollum has provided ninth-round value in eight-cat formats. His production has been good enough to merit rostering in 12-team formats, and there’s a chance CJ becomes more valuable in 10-team formats during Week 21. The Hawks play four games, and an extended absence for Jalen Johnson (shoulder) would change the equation for McCollum and the other healthy starters.

With no Jalen Johnson in the lineup, the Hawks needed more production from their available players, and Daniels delivered. One night removed from scoring three points in a loss to the Rockets, he put up a season-high tally against the Warriors. Atlanta’s 11-game win streak came to a screeching halt on Friday, with the Rockets doing a good job of limiting Johnson’s overall impact. Gafford was available on Wednesday after a three-game absence, but he did not return to the starting lineup. The Mavericks’ center was used in a reserve role, and he put up a season-high 24 points. Gafford has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games, and he’s provided eighth-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. At first glance, Flagg put up a solid stat line in Wednesday’s defeat. However, he was pestered by Dyson Daniels throughout the night, which negatively affected the rookie’s efficiency. In addition to shooting 40 percent from the field, Flagg was responsible for a season-high six turnovers. Washington had a solid night’s worth of production on Monday, as he shot efficiently from the floor on relatively limited shot attempts.
