For the first time since a January 10 loss to the Bulls, Nembhard was back in the Mavericks’ starting lineup on Friday. The rookie guard logged 27 minutes, the most in a game for him since that start against Chicago. While it’s challenging to put complete trust in Nembhard, even with the nine assists, he’ll have value for deep-league managers seeking assists during the silly season.

After failing to crack the 20-point threshold in any of his prior five appearances, Flagg did so on Friday. The rookie recorded 25 points on good percentages, and category league managers will be pleased with the five assists as well. Dallas plays once more in Week 20, a Sunday rematch with the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

The Mavericks are without P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford for Friday’s game, freeing two spots in the starting lineup. Nembhard and Bagley move into the starting five, with the latter offering a higher short-term fantasy ceiling.

The Mavericks will be down two frontcourt starters for Friday’s game, as Washington and Gafford will not play the second game of the team’s back-to-back. Marvin Bagley III and Khris Middleton are potential replacements in the starting lineup, and both players would receive boosts to their fantasy values if promoted.

Marshall is good to go after initially being listed as questionable. With P.J. Washington out, Naji will figure more prominently in the Mavericks’ rotation, whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Daniels is back after sitting out Thursday’s win over the Nets. Interestingly, the Hawks started Corey Kispert in Daniels’ place, with the veteran forward playing 20 minutes. Daniels’ return bumps Kispert to the bench.

Kuminga, who returned to action on Thursday after a three-game absence, will not play on Saturday for injury management reasons. Mouhamed Gueye should pick up rotation minutes off the bench, but there’s no need to add him in redraft leagues.

Marshall is dealing with left foot soreness and could sit out the second leg of the Mavs’ back-to-back set. If Marshall is ultimately sidelined, more minutes should be available for Caleb Martin and Khris Middleton.

Thompson will return for the second leg of Dallas’ back-to-back set after resting on Thursday. He could be in line for some additional run with P.J. Washington (ankle) doubtful, but Thompson’s production has been hit-or-miss for most of the 2025-26 campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Gafford will likely be sidelined for the second leg of Dallas’ back-to-back set. With P.J. Washington (ankle) not expected to play either, Marvin Bagley III could handle a significant workload.

Gafford continues to play some of his best ball of the season, posting a season-high in points on Thursday en route to a fourth straight double-double. The veteran center has been limited by injuries throughout the season, but is in good form as the fantasy basketball playoffs near. For those looking to take a low-risk, potentially high-reward swing, Gafford is rostered in only 26% of Yahoo! leagues.

Flagg was held under 20 points for the fifth straight game on Thursday, shooting below 40.0 percent from the field for a second consecutive time. The rookie forward has remained in a shooting slump since returning in early March from a foot sprain. He did, however, notch at least five rebounds and assists for the fifth time in as many games. But while his well-roundedness has provided a solid floor, fantasy managers hope he can find his touch and deliver some efficient, high-scoring performances.

The veteran forward stole the show against Memphis, needing only 25 minutes off the bench to set a new season-high in points. The near-40-point outing came on efficient shooting, with a spectacular three-point display the key to his success. Thursday marked the first time he’d reached 30 points in a regular-season game since the 2022-23 season, when he was still playing for the Bucks. Middleton has now logged back-to-back games of at least 15 points and will have a chance to land a third on Friday against the Cavaliers.

Triple-doubles have eluded Johnson this month, but this was another near miss for him. Still, he was able to stuff the stat sheet once again in another win for Atlanta. They currently own the longest winning streak in the NBA at eight games, though it’s worth noting they’ve only played on away game during this streak. Still, Johnson has been fantastic, and he’ll look to stay hot against the Bucks on Saturday to wrap up the week.

Following a three-game absence with a knee injury, Kuminga returned to the lineup, and while Atlanta’s winning streak stayed alive, he wasn’t as productive as his previous appearances for Atlanta. He averaged 21.3 points across his first three games for the Hawks, but his only two points in this game came at the free throw line. It was good to see Kuminga log 19 minutes in his first game back, but it’s clear he won’t be a 20-point scorer consistently.

With Dyson Daniels (toe) sidelined, Corey Kispert got the starting nod, but it was Risacher that saw the biggest bump in minutes. This ended up being his highest-scoring outing since early January, which was the game before he missed three weeks with a knee injury. Risacher has struggled this year, but hopefully he will build on this performance and get back on track in the coming weeks.

Kispert will get the starting nod in place of Dyson Daniels (toe), who is sidelined for this game. Kispert started six games for Atlanta in January but has come off the bench since then. He can provide some three-pointers in extra minutes, but that isn’t guaranteed. He is a low-upside streaming option.

Daniels will miss a game for the first time since before the All-Star break, opening up a spot in the starting unit. Zaccharie Risacher, Corey Kispert and Jonathan Kuminga, who is returning following a three-game absence, are all candidates to start, though there should be extra minutes for all three regardless.

Gafford’s lack of consistent minutes has limited his impact in fantasy basketball this season, but he he been solid recently. This was his third straight double-double, and he has played 24.5 minutes per game during this stretch, which is a slight increase over his season average. He has always been a player that can do a lot in limited action, and if he continues to pour in the double-doubles, he’ll be worth rostering.

Thompson has had some excellent games recently, though he did struggle in Toronto on Sunday. However, he has knocked down 18 three-pointers over his last four games and averaged 17.3 points in 23.1 minutes per game during that stretch. This has been a nice stretch for one of the best shooters in league history, but he hasn’t played a large enough role this season for him to be worth picking up off the waiver wire.

Flagg’s rough shooting stretch continued in this game. Over his four games since returning from an eight-game absence with a midfoot sprain, Flagg has shot 34.6 percent from the floor., though he has made up for it by averaging 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.8 blocks per game. He didn’t contribute any defensive stats in this one, but he did record a double-double and match his career high for rebounds. He’ll look to figure things out offensively in Memphis on Thursday.

Atlanta won a seventh straight game in this one, and during that stretch, Daniels has averaged 11.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 2.6 steals and 0.6 turnovers per game while shooting 59.4 percent from the floor. He has been incredible and a big reason why Atlanta has had recent success. He has his obvious limitations, but Daniels has been producing at an incredibly high level as of late regardless.

Over his last three games, he has averaged 25.3 points and 4.7 triples per game while shooting 60.4 percent from the floor, and this was his highest-scoring outing since January. NAW will look to stay hot against the Nets on Thursday.

Johnson had a fewer rough performances by his lofty standards since the All-Star break, but he has gotten back on track recently. They only have two more games this week, but he will continue to fill it up in the box score every night. The Hawks have won seven games in a row and will look to keep that up against the Nets on Thursday, which is another favorable matchup for Johnson.

Saturday’s win over the 76ers was a quieter performance for Okongwu, but he was able to get back on track in this one. Over his last seven games, he has five double-doubles and has been able to contribute plenty of steals and blocks during that stretch. He hasn’t been a strong rebounder this season, but he has been more impactful on the glass in recent weeks, leading to elite fantasy production.
