Cunningham had already been ruled out for a third-straight game on Friday night, but this update does provide some optimism. However, until he returns, Dennis Schroder and Marcus Sasser will fill out the point guard minutes.

Hardy only played 20 minutes with Brandon Williams (back) available Thursday. The 22-year-old point guard was very efficient as he made five three-pointers. Hardy has scored at least 20 points in 2-of-7 games in March, but hasn’t played more than 25 minutes in any of those games. He’s only usable when the Mavericks are missing players that would necessitate him seeing more minutes.

Davis played 29 minutes, but this game was somewhat of a clunker for the 32-year-old power forward. Davis was able to contribute on the defensive end and on the glass, but struggled with his shot. According to the team, the procedure to repair the torn ligament took place on Wednesday and was successful. Dinwiddie has dished out at least seven assists in five straight games and hit double figures in scoring in eight straight. Rostered in 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the Mavericks’ guard has provided excellent value in recent games. Over the past two weeks, Dinwiddie has provided top-75 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. After years of being challenging to trust in fantasy leagues, Dallas’ depleted roster has considerably raised Dinwiddie’s fantasy ceiling. With the Mavericks still in contention for a play-in spot, fantasy managers needing assists should roster Spencer.

Williams has reached double figures in eight of his last nine games, providing consistent scoring whether he’s starting or coming off the bench. Over the past three weeks, the Mavericks guard has provided sixth-round value in nine-cat formats. The issue for Williams is his status as a two-way player, as he is closing in on being active for 50 games. Unless Dallas were to ink him to a standard contract, and they would have to waive someone to make this happen, Williams is difficult to trust in standard leagues. Marshall’s 13 field goals tied him for the most in a half against the Knicks with LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Kobe Bryant. Naji would finish with a career-high 38 on 68 percent shooting from the field. Marshall will likely return to the bench on Thursday in Orlando since Anthony Davis (groin) will be available. Beasley had his typical game Friday against the Mavericks as his only meaningful contribution was in the threes category with him making five of them. It was notable that teammate Tim Hardaway Jr. left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and the Pistons predictably leaned on Beasley to pick up the slack, giving him 36 minutes.
