Miami only plays five games over the next two weeks, so Larsson shouldn’t miss many games. This isn’t a definitive timeline, but the expectation is that this isn’t a long-term absence. While he’s out, Dru Smith should fill extra reserve minutes in the backcourt.

Lively was reportedly seeking other opinions last week, which is never a positive sign. He’s expected to make a full recovery, but after appearing in just seven games, his third year in the NBA will end up as a lost one. Anthony Davis will be asked to spend more time at center, especially when Daniel Gafford isn’t available. There will also be extra minutes for Moussa Cisse and Dwight Powell, though only as depth pieces. Lively will only be 22 years old at the start of next season and will be an enticing option in fantasy hoops. However, he can be safely dropped in redraft leagues at this point.

Larsson was listed as questionable to return after exiting the game in the first half. He ended up missing the remainder of the game, and the initial x-rays were negative. He’s set to undergo an MRI on Wednesday that should provide more information. Miami won’t play again until next week, so Larsson should have time to recover, though if he does miss time, Dru Smith will likely see a bump in minutes off the bench.

Mitchell (groin) missed Saturday’s game against the Kings, but he was back in the lineup to take on Orlando. He has been a strong source of assists this season, especially lately; he has at least nine dimes in five of his last six outings. The scoring hasn’t been consistent, but the former top-10 pick is averaging career highs in both assists and steals. That should continue for this fast-paced Miami offense.

Adebayo has taken major strides as a shooter this season, but that hasn’t been the case over Miami’s last two games. After being held to nine points in Saturday’s loss to the Kings, Adebayo failed to hit a three-pointer for the second straight game. The only other time he didn’t hit a triple this season was against Denver; he exited that game after playing just eight minutes. Adebayo is having an excellent year, but he’ll need to get back on track to help Miami snap this four-game losing streak.

Powell was the leading scorer for Miami, but the Heat offense, which has been one of the best in the league this year, faltered once again, leading to a fourth straight loss. Still, even if this was a slightly subpar shooting performance for Powell, he has been a consistent source of offense for them this season. Even with Tyler Herro (toe) back in the lineup, Powell was still able to get his typical shot attempts. Powell should remain a fantastic option for fantasy managers for the remainder of the season.

Following a two-game absence, Herro was back in the lineup for Tuesday’s NBA Cup matchup with Orlando. He was able to score at least 20 points for a 16th straight game, which dates back to the end of last season. However, for the second time in six appearances this year, Herro failed to knock down a three-pointer, which has been one of his strongest categories over the last few seasons. That won’t happen often, but he wasn’t alone in struggling from deep. As a team, the Heat shot 8-of-33 from beyond the arc, while the Magic shot 15-of-32, which was one of the deciding factors in this game. With the loss, Miami will play on Monday against the loser of the Raptors-Knicks quarterfinal matchup, meaning this was the Heat’s final game of this week. Herro will look to bounce back then, but this ends up being just a one-game week for Miami.

In the five games he played after being moved out of the starting lineup, Williams averaged 8.6 points while shooting 32.6 percent from the field. He had no such issues on Saturday, with the 20 points the most the Mavericks guard has scored in a game since October 29. Saturday’s performance won’t be enough to get Williams back on the radar in most fantasy leagues, as Ryan Nembhard continues to start. But he is worth keeping an eye on, as Williams appears to be locked into the backup role ahead of D’Angelo Russell.

Back in the lineup after a four-game absence, Washington recorded one of his best all-around lines of the season. While the scoring was modest, he did a good job on the glass and matched his career-high with five steals. However, this was Washington’s second game this season with more than two steals, so fantasy managers should not expect Saturday’s performance to become the norm. And Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd’s decision to stick with Naji Marshall (15/2/2/1 with one three-pointer) was good news for those who turned to him while Washington was out.

Flagg finished Saturday’s victory with a complete stat line, and his fantasy value continues to improve after a slow start to his rookie campaign. Over the past two weeks, the forward has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. In addition to him getting more comfortable, Flagg has seemingly benefited from some solidity at the point guard position, with fellow rookie Ryan Nembhard (11/1/7/1 with one three-pointer) making the job his own recently.

Jaquez has scored at least 20 points in seven games this season after enjoying two such games during the entire 2024-25 campaign. The 27 points scored against the Kings were the most for him since November 2, when he dropped a season-high 31 on the Lakers. With the Heat getting closer to full strength recently (Tyler Herro and Davion Mitchell did not play on Saturday), Jaquez’s fantasy value has taken a hit. However, that has been due to lackluster defensive production, despite the offensive numbers being there.

On a night when the Heat were without Tyler Herro and most of the starting lineup struggled, Fontecchio had his most productive night of the season. He hit the 20-point mark for the first time this season, and the four three-pointers were the most in a game for Fontecchio since November 17. A bonus for the few who have him rostered was the seven rebounds. However, for as well as he played, Fontecchio still hasn’t reached the point where he can be relied on for consistent fantasy value.

The Heat starters struggled on Saturday, with Powell and Andrew Wiggins (13/4/4 with one three-pointer) being the only ones in double figures. And while the former offered solid production in points and percentages, his production outside of those categories was meager. Hardy came off the bench and notched his best scoring performance of the season. All of his production came in the second half once the score was lopsided and in favor of the Thunder. Still, he shot well in his 20 minutes of game action, particularly from beyond the arc, and finished as the Mavericks’ leading scorer on the evening. A one-sided loss limited the 2025 first-overall pick to under 30 minutes of game action on Friday for the first time since mid-November. How Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd chooses to handle his point guard rotation has been unpredictable for most of this season. However, he may have found his answer in Nembhard. After dishing out ten assists in Monday’s win over the Nuggets, the rookie established a new season-high with 13 on Wednesday, and he only committed one turnover. In four starts, Nembhard has 30 assists and five turnovers. While Brandon Williams (7/2/2 in 14 minutes) and D’Angelo Russell (10/3/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) played rotation minutes off the bench, Nembhard logged 34 as the starter. He’s worth rolling the dice on, especially with the Mavericks having two more games on their Week 7 schedule.

While his overall field-goal percentage wasn’t great, Thompson knocked down another five three-pointers on Wednesday. Since shooting 1-of-7 from deep in the Mavericks’ November 21 win over the Pelicans, the veteran guard/forward has made at least three three-pointers in six straight games. Davis didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his injured right ring finger may be an issue. That said, he still shot 50 percent from three and was highly impactful as a rebounder and shot-blocker. And with Daniel Gafford (ankle) exiting Wednesday’s game during the second half, the Mavericks may need Davis to spend more time at the center position than he may prefer. In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career.
