Lopez, likely the new full-time starter at the center spot for the Clippers, logged one of his better games of the season. He scored effectively without needing to rely on high three-point production, and he also set a season-high in rebounds along the way. The former NBA champion made his mark on the defensive end as a rim protector and put together a really solid performance in his 36 minutes on the floor. Now, without Ivica Zubac, Lopez will have more opportunities to put up these types of numbers going forward.

The Clippers needed a big win to stop their two-game skid, and they got it on Friday, with Collins’ 22 points being a key reason why. The veteran power forward was good on the glass in his 34 minutes and functioned well as a secondary scorer alongside Kawhi Leonard. Collins concluded as one of two Clippers to score at least 20 points, as his run as an efficient scorer continues. His fantasy basketball value could receive a boost with the departures of two highly featured starters ahead of the trade deadline.

Without Ivica Zubac and James Harden, who were both traded ahead of Wednesday’s trade deadline, Leonard led the new-look Clippers to a win on Friday, ending a two-game skid. The two-time Finals MVP reached the 30-point mark for the first time since mid-January and set a new season-high in assists in the process. Leonard also fell one rebound short of a double-double, posting one of his more balanced performances of the season. Until the Clippers get their newly acquired players into the lineup, particularly Darius Garland and Bennedict Mathurin, expect Leonard to shoulder most of the load on a nightly basis.

Jokić’s injury came in the opening quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Knicks, when he appeared to tweak his ankle. Jackson is averaging just 6.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in under 17 minutes per game and has averaged just 12 minutes in his last nine games. Fantasy managers who have Collins on their rosters received solid value in points, rebounds and percentages, but nothing else. With James Harden no longer in the picture and it being unclear when Darius Garland (toe) will be healthy enough to play, Collins should have more opportunities to score. Leonard once again led the way offensively for the Clippers, but he didn’t have much help in the first game since James Harden was traded to the Cavaliers. And with new addition Darius Garland recovering from a toe injury, Leonard will be required to do even more of the heavy lifting. The Clippers don’t own their 2026 first-round pick, as it goes to Oklahoma City as part of the Paul George trade. One would think this would dissuade the Clippers from tanking, but Garland’s injury timeline may factor into the path the team takes.

Jokić was supposedly still under a minutes restriction on Wednesday. Due to the combination of the game requiring two overtimes and Jonas Valančiūnas (two points, three rebounds and two assists) struggling with foul trouble, the three-time MVP’s restriction appeared to be nothing more than a suggestion. Jokić played 44 of a possible 58 minutes, recording his 17th triple-double of the season. There was an injury scare during the first quarter when The Joker hit the floor with a left leg injury, but he was able to return. He struggled from beyond the arc, making only three of 14 attempts, which negatively affected the overall field-goal percentage. However, he’s recorded back-to-back 30-point games, and the 39 scored in Wednesday’s double-overtime defeat were the most in a game for Murray since January 17. He finished with 10 points (4-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. The Nuggets relied on Bruce Brown (10 points, five rebounds, three steals, one block and two three-pointers) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (19 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four three-pointers) down the stretch, and that will be the case if Watson has to miss multiple games. Jones, who was active for his 50th game of the season, banged heads with Karl-Anthony Towns late in the first quarter. While the rookie remained in the game immediately after, he exited during the second quarter and did not return. As a two-way contract player who was active for his 50th game on Wednesday, Jones can only be eligible for future games if he’s placed on a standard contract. Cleveland’s “Core Four” is no more, as the team has reportedly moved Garland to the Clippers.
