Both players have been ruled out for the game, and the Heat hasn’t provided an official update yet. However, this is a positive sign. It’s just a one-game trip for Miami before they head home for two games. They’ll play the Knicks on Monday and the Warriors on Wednesday, which could be a chance for them to get their stars.

This will be the fifth missed game in a row for Adebayo, who is dealing with a sprained toe. He was seen without a boot earlier in the week, so it seems like his return is close, but it won’t be in New York on Friday. Kel’el Ware will get another start in his place, but he could have a tough night if Mitchell Robinson suits up for New York. If Robinson is out with his own injury management, then Ware should have a strong showing against Karl Anthony Towns in the paint.

Murray didn’t shoot the ball well on Wednesday, but was still one of Denver’s top scorers on the evening. His biggest contributions came on the defensive end, however, where he logged a season-high in steals. Through the first few weeks of the season, the veteran guard has put up similar averages to what he’s produced throughout the last five years. He remains one of the Nuggets’ most reliable players.

Gordon had an unspectacular, but somewhat productive night against the Clippers on Wednesday. He was one of four Nuggets players to score in double figures, and he finished tied for second in rebounds. Not much was asked of Gordon on a night in which Nikola Jokic scored 55 points and 18-of-23 shooting. Yet, he finished with decent production from a fantasy basketball standpoint, regardless. A more competitive game on Saturday against the Timberwolves could potentially lead to a more productive game from Gordon.

Jokic wasted no time putting the ball in the basket on Wednesday — he set the tone early with 25 first-quarter points and remained efficient the rest of the way before finishing with his first 50-point game of the season. The former Finals MVP punished the Clippers inside and outside the arc, and got to the foul line frequently, as well. He’s been tremendous after a slower start to the season, and has Denver performing like a legitimate title contender.

Johnson and Braun both exited the court with injuries during the first half against the Clippers before being ruled out. One game after securing a game-winning dunk, Wiggins logged another efficient scoring performance in the rematch against the Cavaliers. He had similar shooting efficiency and production from the three-point line in both games, but lacked the free-throw volume this time around. The veteran wing had one of his better rebounding performances of the season on Wednesday while also notching a season-high in assists along the way. Overall, he finished with solid numbers from a fantasy basketball standpoint.

Ware secured his second straight double-double on Wednesday against Miami. He didn’t reach 20 rebounds, as he did on Monday, but was still productive on both the offensive and defensive glass. He’s filled in nicely for Bam Adebayo (toe), who has missed four straight games. It’ll be interesting to see how Ware’s minutes and production will be impacted by Adebayo’s eventual return. Regardless, he continues to put up numbers.

On the heels of a 33-point performance in the overtime win over the Cavaliers on Monday, Powell logged another strong scoring performance in Wednesday’s rematch. Three-point shooting was one of his main strengths, but he also finished with at least five assists for the first time this season. Through the first few months of the season, Powell has picked up where he left things in Los Angeles last year during his career-best season. He continues to be one of Miami’s most productive players.

As was the case ahead of Tuesday’s win over the Kings, Murray and Gordon are considered probable for Wednesday night. That tag suggests both will ultimately be cleared to play. While Murray played 37 minutes on Tuesday, Gordon only played 30. Bruce Brown and Peyton Watson would benefit the most if Murray or Gordon were to be ruled out.

Brown, whose production had been modest in his first nine games, had his best showing of the season on Tuesday. He established a new season-high point total and matched his high in rebounds. However, what was most notable about Tuesday’s result was Brown being part of the closing lineup, with the struggling Cameron Johnson (five points, two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes) relegated to the bench. While neither player is providing top-200 value in eight-cat formats, Brown’s production has been superior to Johnson’s. That’s something to watch moving forward.

Murray was back in the Nuggets’ lineup after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Pacers with a calf issue, playing 37 minutes. And he was at his best in the fourth quarter, scoring ten of the Nuggets’ 37 points. Thus far, Murray has provided second-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP (36) by a round in 12-team setups. Wednesday’s game against the Clippers could be an issue for Murray, even if there were no signs of the calf injury giving him any trouble during Tuesday’s victory. Consider him questionable for Wednesday night.

Back in the Nuggets’ lineup after missing Saturday’s win over the Pacers with a hamstring injury, Gordon played 30 minutes on Tuesday without any issues. What may be of interest to fantasy managers is how he’s shot the ball from deep since going 10-of-11 in Denver’s season opener. Gordon has gone 11-of-34 since that night, including 2-of-4 on Tuesday. While the percentage isn’t great, he’s remained confident in the shot, and opposing teams have been forced to respect it more. That’s good news for the Nuggets and those who have Gordon rostered.

Jokić has scored at least 30 points in four of his last five games, a stretch that includes two double-doubles and two triple-doubles. He’s been the best player in fantasy basketball for quite some time and has shown no signs of slowing down. The only concern for fantasy managers during Week 4 may be the schedule. Denver plays twice more, beginning with Wednesday’s game against the Clippers. However, even that may not be an issue, as Jokić can put up numbers in three games that most other players can’t replicate in four.

Jaquez was one of two Heat players to establish a new career-high in rebounds, with Kel’el Ware being the other. Challenging to assess during draft season, Jaquez has provided excellent fantasy value despite coming off the bench. Rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing fifth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. It’s fair to question what Jaquez can do once the Heat get Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo back, but that shouldn’t be a concern at this moment. The only negative is that Miami plays only twice more in Week 4 and will be finished with their week on Friday.

Ware’s performance and effort level against the Cavaliers is what the Heat and fantasy managers want to see consistently. The second-year center’s 19 rebounds were a career-high, and one more than the Cleveland tandem of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen combined to grab. Despite the inconsistent play, Ware is still close to a top-75 player in nine-cat formats. Games like Monday’s show what he’s capable of doing when the effort level matches the upside.

Based on his Yahoo! ADP of 11o, Wiggins was expected to provide late-round value in 12-team leagues this season. He’s been better than that so far, sitting within the top-75 in nine-cat formats. He made the game’s biggest play in Monday’s overtime thriller, slamming home an alley-oop pass from Nikola Jović as time expired to give Miami the win. The Heat not having Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo gives Wiggins more room to work out of necessity, and he’s answered the call more often than not so far.

Jokić picked up the slack for a short-handed Denver lineup with Jalen Pickett and Peyton Watson starting in place of an injured Jamal Murray (calf) and Aaron Gordon (hamstring), recording his third double-double in nine games this season — securing it with more than seven minutes left in the third quarter — as the Nuggets cruised to an easy win, leading by 13 heading into the final frame. The 30-year-old generational talent been the top overall fantasy performer so far, averaging 25 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and one block through nine games. At this point, Jokić averaging a triple-double isn’t news — it’s just gravity doing what gravity does.

Jović nearly recorded a triple-double off the bench against a Portland team that entered the night ranked ninth in defensive rating. He connected on three of seven attempts from beyond the arc and shot 63 percent from the field overall. After coming off the bench in the two previous games, Ware moved into the starting lineup on Friday, and he struggled offensively.
