Murray exited Friday’s loss to the Knicks during the second quarter with a sprained left ankle. While he was officially considered questionable to return, the Nuggets’ star point guard did not, as the game had gotten out of hand. Jalen Pickett and Julian Strawther are the players most impacted by Murray’s availability. While the former is a point guard, the latter could be the starter if Murray sits, with Denver leaning even more on Nikola Jokić’s playmaking.

Given his general shot profile, Gobert not missing in a game isn’t all that surprising. He made all six of his attempts against the Magic while providing solid value in the rebound and assist categories, playing 33 minutes. Since the All-Star break, Gobert has been close to a top-50 player in nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. The Timberwolves play four games in Week 20, starting with the Lakers on Tuesday and the Clippers the following night.

Randle finished one rebound shy of a double-double on Saturday, but the final line felt underwhelming due to the point total. Averaging 21.5 points per game on the season, the Timberwolves forward has just one 20-point game since the All-Star break. The Timberwolves, and those who have him on their fantasy rosters, need more scoring from Randle.

Edwards put up a robust stat line on Saturday, but he didn’t get much help in the 119-92 defeat. Jaden McDaniels (three points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals) shot 0-of-9 from the field, and Donte DiVincenzo (two rebounds, four assists and one steal) went scoreless, missing all six of his attempts. Edwards and the Timberwolves won’t play again in Week 19, but they have four games in Week 20.

Murray sprained his left ankle during the second quarter of Friday’s game and walked back to the locker room with assistance. While the Nuggets announced at the start of the third quarter that the point guard was questionable to return, he never did. And with Denver on the wrong end of a blowout, there was no need for him to play. Tyus Jones made his Nuggets debut, finishing with three points, one rebound and one assist in 12 minutes. He and Jalen Pickett (one assist in nine minutes) could be asked to do more if Murray isn’t available for Monday’s game against the Thunder.

Jokić put up a gaudy points tally against the Knicks, who were able to limit his influence as a rebounder and playmaker. A major issue for The Joker and his teammates was three-point shooting, as the Nuggets shot 8-of-40 on the night. Fantasy managers who have Jokić on their rosters are likely pleased by the output, even if he missed out on a triple-double.

Friday’s game was the first for Gordon since January 23, and to no one’s surprise, his playing time was limited. Murray got off to a hot start on Thursday, scoring 20 points in just the first half. Though he was much quieter after the break, he still matched Nikola Jokić as the leading scorers for Denver in the win. This was his fourth straight game with at least 25 points, and he has averaged 34.3 points and 5.5 triples per game during that stretch. However, he didn’t contribute much in the box score during his 24 minutes on the floor. This was the first leg of a back-to-back, so Johnson could return to take on the Knicks on Friday. For the 23rd time this season, Jokić was able to record a triple-double, though he nearly made it an unpleasant quadruple-double. His nine turnovers matched his season high, and this was actually the third time this year that he recorded a triple-double while turning it over exactly nine times. One game removed from grabbing a season-high 19 rebounds, Gobert was active in all facets on Thursday. The 18 points were three more than his total in Minnesota’s prior three games, and he’s hit double figures in rebounds in all six games that he’s played since the All-Star break. Also, Gobert matched his season-high with five assists. The offensive production can be a struggle at times, as the 7-foot-1 center can become an afterthought on that end of the floor. Edwards, who was added to the Timberwolves’ injury report early Thursday afternoon, seemingly took a step back offensively after a dominant showing in Tuesday’s win over the Grizzlies.
