Bona missed Thursday’s loss to the Pistons with a sore back, which left the 76ers severely shorthanded due to Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond also being out. Bona is active Saturday with Embiid and Drummond still sidelined. He should play as many minutes as he can handle against the Nets.

Walker had 16 points in 18 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Pistons, but has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Nets with an illness. The 76ers are going to be severely shorthanded once again as Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, Kelly Oubre and Andre Drummond are all out again. With Adem Bona (back) still questionable, it’s reasonable to assume Dominick Barlow and Trendon Watford will see minutes in this game.

Watson is out for Saturday’s game, but he could return to action at some point next week. His eventual return likely affects Julian Strawther and Spencer Jones more than anyone else, as those two have seen their opportunities increase since Watson strained his hamstring in early February.

Murray and Gordon are back on the injury report, but both players are listed as probable, so they should be able to play. Gordon did not play in Thursday’s win over the Spurs, with Spencer Jones replacing him in the starting lineup. Fantasy managers should plan for Gordon and Murray to take on their usual responsibilities, which would push Jones to the bench.

The Nuggets did not have Aaron Gordon (hamstring) for Thursday’s game, resulting in Jones making his first start since February 4. Unsurprisingly, as he made 34 prior starts due to the Nuggets’ injury issues earlier this season, Jones was ready for the moment. Shooting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, the second-year forward’s 19 points were the most in a game for him since dropping 28 on the Mavericks on December 1. Gordon sat out for injury management reasons, so he should be back on Saturday against the Lakers. If not, Jones would make for a worthwhile pickup in deep leagues.

The “Blue Arrow” was at his best when the Nuggets needed him most, scoring 16 points in the third quarter on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. Murray was efficient throughout the night, making over half of his shot attempts and going a perfect 15-of-15 from the foul line. For the first time in just over a month, the Nuggets guard has scored at least 30 points in consecutive games. Murray will look to make it three straight when the Nuggets visit the Lakers on Saturday.

Despite appearing a bit fatigued to begin Thursday’s game, which was their second in as many nights, the Nuggets rallied in the second half to pick up one of their best wins of the season. Jokić recorded another elite stat line, posting his 27th triple-double of the season. Also, this was the 10th triple-double of his career in which the three-time MVP accounted for at least 30 points and 20 rebounds. The Nuggets play once more in Week 20, Saturday night against the Lakers.

Embiid has missed Philadelphia’s last six games with a strained oblique, and five games last month with a knee injury. To say that the 76ers have struggled in the former MVP’s absence would be an understatement, especially since Tyrese Maxey went down with a finger injury. For Thursday’s loss to the Pistons, the 76ers didn’t have Andre Drummond or Adem Bona, either. Dominick Barlow served as the starting center, finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, two steals, one block and one three-pointer.

After a solid showing in Tuesday’s win over the Grizzlies, his first after a three-game absence with a back injury, Edgecombe struggled in Detroit. Not only did he miss all five of his three-point attempts, but the rookie shot 3-of-9 from two and did not record an assist. Saturday’s matchup with the Nets should be far more forgiving for Edgecombe, as Brooklyn is headed back to the draft lottery.

Once again used in a reserve role, Payne’s streak of consecutive made three-pointers ended at 10 during Thursday’s defeat. He still had a solid night scoring-wise, but those who have streamed him may have hoped for a better assist tally. Even if Payne continues to come off the bench, which is likely since the 76ers want to put the ball in VJ Edgecombe’s hands more, he’s worth streaming while Tyrese Maxey (finger) is out.

The 76ers’ many absences freed up opportunities for players who normally would not be guaranteed rotation minutes, including Beauchamp. Just over a month removed from scoring a then-season high 10 points, the former first-round pick surpassed that number in Detroit. Beauchamp’s night won’t affect fantasy basketball, but it could be a step toward him earning a standard contract somewhere for next season.

Gordon played just 22 minutes in last night’s blowout win over the Rockets but scored zero points and grabbed four rebounds. Joel Embiid (oblique) is also out, and Andre Drummond (back spasms) is questionable, so the 76ers will be very short-handed against a Pistons team with a talented frontcourt. Having struggled for most of the season, Johnson’s line on Wednesday was in line with what many fantasy managers hoped to get from him consistently. He shot 3-of-3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while recording a complete stat line. After totaling 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting in his prior two appearances, Braun needed a night like Wednesday. The 19 points were the most he’s had in a game since February 27, when the Nuggets’ wing dropped 23 in a loss to the Thunder. Since the All-Star break, Braun sits just inside the top-150 in category league value. His status as a starter makes him a player worth holding onto, but the chances of Braun being a difference-maker during the playoff weeks are slim.

Obviously, Jokić has recorded far more robust stat lines than the one he produced in Wednesday’s 36-point victory. However, the three-time MVP had his triple-double by the end of the third quarter, the 83rd time in his career that The Joker has accomplished this feat. The Nuggets play two more games in Week 20, starting with the Spurs on Thursday, so getting a little extra rest was a good deal for Jokić.

Murray and the Nuggets rolled to a 129-93 victory, pulling away thanks to a dominant third quarter. While Murray wasn’t too involved in the 40-point period, scoring four points, he shouldered most of the scoring workload in the first half. This was a fifth straight start for Grimes, and while the first was rough, he has averaged 20.3 points over the last four while shooting 50 percent from the floor. Oubre stepped up in a big way for the shorthanded 76ers in this one. He set new season highs for both points and rebounds in the win while also recording his fourth double-double of the season. Oubre has been a decent option when he has started this year, but with Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to miss a few weeks and both Joel Embiid and Paul George still unavailable, Oubre will continue to be vital to the team’s success, which should lead to more outings like this.

Following a three-game absence with a back injury, Edgecombe returned for this game. With Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to miss at least three weeks, 76ers coach Nick Nurse said before the game that he would be the team’s primary ball handler for this game. Payne was pushed back to the bench with VJ Edgecombe (back) available, but he still played an important role off the bench. He had a monster first half, scoring 16 points with four three-pointers without missing a shot while also adding three stocks. Though he didn’t remain perfect from the floor, he did remain perfect from deep and the free throw line in what ended up being an incredible performance from Payne. This was the first time in franchise history that a player made at least eight triples without missing, and he became the first 76ers reserve to finish with at least 30 points and 10 assists while coming off the bench. The 31-year-old who signed a standard deal to return to the NBA during the All-Star break ended up setting new career highs for both points and three-pointers. With Tyrese Maxey (pinky) set to be re-evaluated in three weeks, Payne will be an important piece for the 76ers for the rest of this month and should be considered a must-roster player after this performance.

Maxey has a tendon injury in his right pinky finger, which is his shooting hand. The injury occurred in Saturday’s loss to Atlanta, and he missed Monday’s game against the Cavaliers and had already been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Hardaway had one of his most productive nights of the season on Monday. The eight triples represented a new season-high, and his 28 points were the most in a game for him since dropping 30 in a January 29 win over the Nets. This issue, as far as Hardaway’s fantasy value is concerned, is that he has not provided much value outside of points and three-pointers. For those needing a specialist in deeper leagues, he’s worth a look. For others, Monday’s effort did not change much.

Denver having two days off after Friday’s loss to the Knicks worked in the team’s favor, as Murray did not miss any games after exiting that contest before halftime. While he was able to play 37 minutes on Monday, the Nuggets guard missed all four of his three-point attempts on the night. However, Murray made just under half of his two-point attempts, and category league managers will be pleased with the rebounds and assists. Gordon was scalding hot to begin Monday’s game, shooting 5-of-5 from the field and scoring 19 points in the first quarter. Jokić nearly helped get the Nuggets to overtime on Monday, as his three-pointer combined with a Jamal Murray free throw for a foul off the ball tied the game with 8.4 seconds remaining. Due to Philadelphia’s many injuries, Edwards has re-entered the rotation for the last three games. The 28 minutes he played against the Cavaliers were the most for the second-year wing since late November, and he took advantage of the opportunity. With no Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe or Joel Embiid, there was plenty of room for Grimes to put points on the board. The 17 points were a team-high, and fantasy managers can benefit from the rebounds, assists and three-pointers as well.
