The Nuggets remain without Nikola Jokic (ankle), but they will employ a traditional center in the lineup after going small in Friday’s loss to Portland. Jordan moves into the starting lineup, pushing Russell Westbrook to the bench. Despite starting, the veteran center offers limited streaming value. Westbrook still has value, especially for fantasy managers punting turnovers.

Gordon was initially probable for Sunday’s game, so the expectation was that he would play. As the Nuggets are again without Nikola Jokic, he’s likely to remain the starting center. Playing the center position has raised Gordon’s fantasy ceiling, and he’s worth rostering in standard leagues until the Joker returns.

Russell Westbrook, who has moved into the starting lineup, is also receiving a boost to his fantasy value.

Smart got going after halftime, shooting 5-of-10 from the field to help the Wizards trim a 33-point deficit down to four before losing. While availability issues make the veteran guard difficult to rely on in fantasy basketball, he can provide value when playing rotation minutes. Smart logged 24 minutes on Saturday, which has been his unofficial cap since joining the Wizards. While Washington plays four games during Week 21, there’s also a back-to-back, likely limiting Smart to three appearances.

After a three-game slump in which he scored 29 points on 11-of-30 shooting, Poole got back on track in this one. He was one of the primary catalysts for the Wizards after halftime, shooting 5-of-10 from the field in the second half as Washington cut a 33-point deficit down to four. The Wizards did not have enough to complete the rally, but Poole’s play throughout the season has been encouraging. Washington plays four games during Week 21, starting with the Raptors on Monday.

George’s double-double was his first, and the Wizards rookie has been a much-improved player as the season has progressed. And fantasy managers have benefitted from the strides made, as George has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats over the past month. Given the recent production and Washington’s upcoming schedule, his rostership (27 percent of Yahoo! leagues) is a bit low. The Wizards play four games during weeks 21 and 22, an excellent schedule for managers looking to win their leagues.

Saturday’s game is the second in as many nights for the Wizards, who lost to the Magic on Friday. Khris Middleton is unavailable for the matchup with the Knicks, opening up a spot in the starting lineup for Carrington. Playing time should not be an issue for Bub as the Wizards look to develop their youngsters further.

Westbrook got another start Friday with Nikola Jokic (ankle, elbow) out again. The 36-year-old point guard had 18 points in 30 minutes, but it wasn’t one of his better games this year. Westbrook managed to commit nine turnovers, which was the second time in his last three games that he had committed at least seven turnovers. It also wasn’t a big assist game for Westbrook as he had just four assists. The fantasy upside is obvious when he gets to start, but he’s a little inconsistent at this point in his career.

Gordon continues to have good scoring games as he’s had at least 23 points in three straight games and four of his last six games. The 29-year-old power forward has been a top-50 fantasy player over the last two weeks, which coincides with his uptick in scoring while the Nuggets have occasionally been without Nikola Jokic (ankle, elbow). Though he wasn’t able to extend his streak of 20-point games to four straight contests, Sarr was able to record his third double-double of the month and the ninth of his young career. Rebounds haven’t been a strong category for Sarr as a rookie, which isn’t surprising for a floor spacing big. However, he has averaged 8.3 rebounds in 27.1 minutes per game over the last two weeks. While Westbrook did not shoot the ball well in the Nuggets’ two games without Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, he did provide solid value in the assist and steal categories. He accounted for nine assists and two steals against the Lakers, providing some value on a night when he shot 4-of-14 from the field. No one expected Watson to provide similar value, but he was solid in his 25 minutes against the Lakers. With both Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic sidelined, Westbrook took on the workload as the primary playmaker for Denver. He took the role seriously, which resulted in plenty of assists for him. This was the 40th time in Westbrook’s career that he had at least 16 dimes in a game and his first since 2021. Westbrook’s stat set makes him ideal for managers that can disregard turnovers and field goal percentage, since he is still more than capable of filling up the box score.
