Given the expectations of many fantasy managers, Thompson’s season has been underwhelming in that regard. But he had a solid night in New Orleans, shooting 50 percent from the field and finishing one rebound shy of a double-double. And even with the limited scoring output, Thompson has been close to a top-75 payer over the past two weeks.

Due to Cade Cunningham being out, Jenkins made his seventh start of the season on Wednesday. As has been the case on multiple occasions this season, the second-year guard answered when his name was called. All that Jenkins’ stat line missed was a blocked shot. If Cunningham misses more time, the former St. John’s standout will be worth streaming in deep leagues.

With Cade Cunningham unavailable due to illness and a hip injury, the Pistons needed others to step up. Duren was at the top of the list, and the center was dominant in New Orleans. For the fourth time this season, Duren finished a game with at least 20 points and 15 rebounds. Add in the defensive stats and assists, and Wednesday was an excellent night for those who have Duren rostered.

The Pistons are without Cade Cunningham for Wednesday’s game, as he’s out due to illness and a hip contusion. Jenkins will receive the starting nod, but there should also be a few more minutes available to Jaden Ivey. Jenkins is worth streaming in deep leagues, especially for managers seeking assist production.

LeVert will not be available for Wednesday’s game, leaving the Pistons down two rotation guards since Cade Cunningham is also out. LeVert’s absence will not have a significant impact on fantasy basketball, but it should lead to more minutes for Ron Holland II.

Added to the Pistons’ injury report on Wednesday afternoon, Cunningham will not play due to a left hip contusion. Jaden Ivey filled in the last time Cunningham missed a game, but he did not play starters’ minutes. With Daniss Jenkins and Marcus Sasser also in the mix for rotation minutes, Ivey isn’t worth the risk in this spot.

Cunningham is a late addition to the injury report, so fantasy managers should have a contingency plan prepared. If Detroit’s star point guard is forced to sit this one out, Daniss Jenkins and Jaden Ivey will be in line for additional minutes.

Thompson recorded another robust stat line, continuing to offer excellent fantasy value. The Rockets’ guard/forward has been a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. While the value may not align with his Yahoo! ADP (21), Thompson is only two rounds off after getting off to a slow start to begin the season. Something to watch is whether Houston adds a point guard ahead of the trade deadline, as that would affect Thompson’s fantasy ceiling.

On a night when Houston’s starters didn’t have their best stuff early on, Sheppard gave the Rockets important production off the bench. The second-year guard shot 5-of-10 from the field in the second half, and the 21 points were the most he’s scored in a game since a December 20 win over the Nuggets in which he tallied 28. Sheppaed has been ranked outside the top-200 in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, so the season-long value has taken a hit. That said, he’s capable of having nights like Tuesday when he offers excellent production.

After going off for a season-high 39 in a January 17 win over the Timberwolves, Durant has totaled 36 over his last two games. However, he was more efficient on Tuesday than in Sunday’s win over the Pelicans, and the seven assists were a nice bonus for fantasy managers. Durant has recorded 22 assists over the last three games and has offered second-round value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks.

Şengün finished Tuesday’s comeback victory one assist shy of his second triple-double of the season. While he only attempted two shots in the fourth quarter, the Rockets’ center’s basket with 38.6 seconds remaining extended his team’s lead to four. Houston held San Antonio to 14 points in the final frame. Houston now hits the road for a challenging back-to-back, visiting Philadelphia on Thursday and Detroit the following night.

Adams left Sunday’s game against the Pelicans with an ankle injury and didn’t return. While X-rays were negative, Udoka told reporters Tuesday that Adams is dealing with a Grade 3 ankle sprain and he’s out indefinitely. Harris exited early from Saturday’s game, though the reason wasn’t specified. However, if there was something bothering him then, it didn’t seem to carry over into this game. His 25 points were the most he’s had in a game since November. He hasn’t been a great fantasy option this season, but since returning from a five-game absence with a hip injury, he has been effective. He’ll look to remain hot in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Cunningham was named an All-Star starter earlier in the day, and while he didn’t have an effective night as a shooter, he was able to record a double-double. His work as a playmaker made up for the lack of scoring, and it was enough for Detroit to get the win. It has been a rough three-game stretch for him as a scorer, and he’ll look to get back on track in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Adams, who started alongside Alperen Şengün, needed help getting back to the locker room after rolling his left ankle during the fourth quarter. The good news is that X-rays were negative, so the veteran center is dealing with a sprain. Durant didn’t shoot the ball well, making one of his eight three-point attempts, but that didn’t prevent him from making some history. With a fourth-quarter free throw, he passed Dirk Nowitzki to move into sixth on the all-time scoring list. The next name on the storied list is Michael Jordan. Durant didn’t have his best night scoring-wise, but he did dish out eight assists to preserve some value. He’ll look to have a better night on Tuesday against the Spurs.

Şengün had a good night, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and matching his career-high with five steals. If there has been an issue for the Rockets’ center recently, it has been the foul line. Over the past two weeks, Şengün has only made 45.8 percent of his attempts. Sunday’s 3-of-5 effort is a step in the right direction, and he’s still shooting 69.9 percent for the season.

All that was missing from Thompson’s stat line was a three-pointer, but that’s a common occurrence for the third-year guard. Over the past two weeks, he has been close to a top-50 player. On a night when teammate Kevin Durant made some personal history, Smith had one of the best games of his NBA career. The Rockets’ forward finished with a season-high point total, and the seven three-pointers were a career-high. And to say Smith needed a night like Sunday would be an understatement. Even with this performance, he’s shot 36.1 percent from the field over the past two weeks. Smith will look to carry the momentum into a three-game Week 14 that begins on Tuesday against the Spurs.

Robinson is usually relied on for points and three-pointers, and he’s upped his production in those categories recently. He’s now made at least four three-pointers in four consecutive games, his most productive stretch of the season to date. The Pistons were never challenged on Saturday, so Duren and the other starters played fewer minutes than they usually would. Detroit led by 34 points at the half, and the margin would grow to a point where none of the starters played during the fourth quarter. That’s unfortunate for Cunningham’s managers, as they may have been counting on a big night from him, given how depleted the Pacers were. The good news is that the Pistons play four games in Week 14, and Monday’s matchup with the Celtics should be far more competitive.

Harris returned to the locker room during the third quarter for an unspecified reason and did not play again. The Pistons did not announce any injury, and Saturday’s blowout made it unlikely that Harris would have played in the fourth quarter if there wasn’t an issue. The Pistons open a four-game Week 14 on Monday against the Celtics, and Isaiah Stewart (7/7/5/1/1 with one three-pointer) would likely be the next man up if Harris can’t play.

On Thursday, Durant had one of his worst shooting performances of the season in a blowout loss to the Thunder. However, he was able to respond with one of his best games of the year. The turnovers and free throws were suboptimal, but he set a new season high for scoring and was still effective as a playmaker. Durant hasn’t been as effective this year as he’s been in the past, but he’s still more than capable of outings like this from time to time.

Though it was an abysmal night from the free throw line, Şengün was able to record his third-straight double-double while posting a full stat line. The poor free throw percentage dragged his overall value down in this game, but he was able to do enough for help Houston get the win before fouling out late in the game.
