The Spurs are without Jeremy Sochan, who will not play in Tuesday’s game due to back spasms. He’ll be replaced in the starting lineup by Biyombo, who’s worth streaming in extremely deep leagues. Sochan is dealing with back spasms, hence the Spurs’ decision to make him inactive for Tuesday’s game. His absence leaves the center responsibilities to Bismack Biyombo and Sandro Mamukelashvili. While the former offers a bit more from a rebounding standpoint, Mamukelashvili possesses a higher offensive ceiling.

Harris was a late scratch on Sunday after initially being listed as probable and eventually being cleared to play. That came one game after he was a late scratch after not being listed on the injury report at all. Hopefully that doesn’t happen a third time, but if it does, Malik Beasley will continue to start after having 27 points and six three-pointers on Sunday.

This will be the second-straight game that Cunningham is initially listed as doubtful, and it will likely lead to a fifth-straight absence. Dennis Schroder will remain Detroit’s starting point guard until Cunningham returns and could take on an even larger role with Marcus Sasser serving a one-game suspension. Schroder has recorded a double-double in each of the Pistons’ last two games.

Bassey logged 10 minutes on Sunday in what was his return from a month-long absence. However, he’ll sit out the first leg of the Spurs’ back-to-back on Tuesday. Bismack Biyombo didn’t see any minutes on Sunday but should return to the rotation with Bassey sidelined.

Sunday’s game was Bassey’s first since February 23, so he clearly wasn’t going to be asked to log many minutes. He played 10 minutes, but his return meant no room in the rotation for Bismack Biyombo, who picked up a DNP-CD. Following the game, Bassey said that he still wasn’t feeling right. “I just want to play with these guys, man,” Bassey said. “My family, my friends, people in my circle, know who I am as a person. They know I want to get back and play, even though I’m not feeling right.” Fantasy managers should not expect much from Bassey the rest of the way, especially with San Antonio’s four-game Week 22 starting with a Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back.

Hardaway has reached double figures in three straight and four of his last five outings. And with the veteran guard scoring 52 points in his last two outings, this qualifies as one of THJ’s most productive stretches of the season. While Hardaway has offered 12th-round value in nine-act formats over the past two weeks, Malik Beasley remains the superior choice for fantasy managers mining the Pistons roster for three-pointers.

Duren recorded his 37th double-double of the season on Sunday and his 13th since the All-Star break. The Pistons’ center offers limited defensive value, which lowers his fantasy ceiling. Over the past two weeks, Duren has been an eighth-round player in nine-cat formats, one round worse than his season-long value. He’ll provide points, rebounds and a high field-goal percentage, but Duren will need to bring more to the table if he’s to become a top-75 caliber player in fantasy basketball.

A late addition to the starting lineup due to Tobias Harris (Achilles) being scratched, Beasley did what fantasy managers have come to expect from him. The veteran guard provided points and three-pointers with solid percentages and not much else. Over the past two weeks, Beasley has offered 11th-round value in nine-cat formats. Beasley is a deep-league option at best, whether he comes off the bench or is inserted into the starting lineup.

Johnson’s improved play since the All-Star break has been a positive development for fantasy managers who kept the faith. He has provided ninth-round value in nine-cat formats since the break, averaging 15.4 points per game on 54.6 percent shooting from the field. However, with Johnson’s limited production outside of points and rebounds, this may not be sustainable for an entire season. Despite his post-break improvements, Johnson remains outside the top 200 in season-long value in eight- and nine-cat formats. However, this is something for fantasy managers to concern themselves with for draft season, not Week 22, in which the Spurs will play four games.

The Spurs received little production from their starters on Sunday, with Vassell being the only one to score in double figures. He shot 50 percent from the field, continuing to improve his efficiency on the offensive end of the floor. Over the past two weeks, Vassell has offered third-round value in nine-cat formats and fourth-round value in eight-cat formats. With the Spurs playing four games during Week 22, Vassell managers are in a good spot, provided San Antonio doesn’t cut his playing time for draft lottery reasons.

A physical altercation broke out early in the second quarter of Sunday’s game after Holland’s foul on Timberwolves forward Naz Reid. Things had already gotten heated, with emotions boiling over in the form of an altercation that spilled into the stands. Hardaway returned to the Pistons lineup on Tuesday after sitting out Sunday’s win over the Hornets. While he has reached double figures in six of his last eight appearances, the production has been “feast or famine” for those who have THJ rostered. Over the past three weeks, Hardaway’s production placed him just inside the top 300 in eight- and nine-cat formats.
