George is dealing with a right knee contusion, casting some doubt on his status for Wednesday’s game. Things are starting to click for Sarr. After scoring a career-high 34 points on Saturday, he had the sixth 20-point game of his career on Monday. Four of those have come in his last 10 appearances. The No. 2 overall pick may not be in conversations for Rookie of the Year, but he is reminding the world of why he was such a coveted prospect last summer. He won’t turn 20 until after the season, but he is already showcasing elite talent in multiple areas of his game. Washington still has three more games this week for him to keep it up.

Vukcevic hasn’t been a consistent part of Washington’s rotation, but after not seeing the floor for three games, he was able to pick up where he left off in his previous appearance. Vukcevic has scored in double figures in each of his last two games and has at least seven rebounds, one steal, one block and two triples in three straight games. Vukcevic should see more minutes down the stretch of this season and have a chance to be a “silly season” star once again.

For the first time in his career, the rookie was part of the starting lineup. He didn’t turn in a monster stat line, but Johnson was productive during his 35 minutes on the court, even if he was inefficient. Johnson just turned 20 years old in December, and Washington will make sure to get him plenty of development reps down the stretch of the season. This was an important milestone for him, and it wouldn’t be surprising if it wasn’t the last start of the season for him.

In comparison to some other rookies in this class, Holland has flown under the radar at times during his first season in the league. Detroit has been too competitive for him to play a significant role, but he has been productive when given the opportunity. This wasn’t a monster performance by any means, but it was an encouraging one for dynasty managers. Holland won’t turn 20 years old until July, so any glimpses of upside at this point are great to see.

The lopsided score in favor of Detroit helped Fontecchio set a new season-high for scoring in this game. He did an excellent job during cleanup time and scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half. Fontecchio also made all five of his attempts from deep. It was a fantastic night for him, but this isn’t something that managers should get used to. He has averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 triples per game this season, which has him ranked outside the top-300 in nine-cat leagues.

While the rest of the starters’ production was capped by the lopsided score, Cunningham was still able to turn in a strong line in the massive win. It certainly could have been a bigger night if New Orleans was able to keep this game somewhere close. Blowouts have limited Cunningham at times over the past month, but he was still able to be on the floor long enough to make up for Saturday’s 11-point performance that ended early following an ejection. He’ll look to keep this going in Miami on Wednesday.

Already ruled out for Monday’s game in Portland, he has been sent back to the nation’s capital to have his thumb examined by team doctors. Kispert injured his left thumb during Saturday’s win over the Nuggets and will not play in Portland on Monday. After a four-game run in which he averaged 9.8 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting, George was considerably better on Saturday. He’s scored 19 points or more twice since the All-Star break, but offense isn’t where the rookie has been most valuable this season. The rebounding and defensive stats are why George is rostered in 27 percent of Yahoo leagues despite a poor field goal percentage. Since the All-Star break, he has been a top-40 player for managers willing to punt that particular category.

Sarr was outstanding in Denver, as he recorded a season-high point total and an overall line that many fantasy managers will be pleased with. Since the All-Star break, the rookie center/forward has been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats. And that’s with Sarr shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 65.6 percent from the foul line. For fantasy managers punting field goal percentage, the rookie has been a seventh-round player since the break.

But he hit one of the most stunning game-winners of the season, making a 35-footer with 1.8 seconds remaining to complete the Wizards’ season sweep of the Nuggets. After scoring just eight points during Tuesday’s loss to Detroit, Sarr found more success on the offensive end in this game. What a monster night it was for Cunningham. This was his sixth-straight game with at least 25 points, and he added another double-double, along with plenty of defensive production. Though he only played 25 minutes because of the lopsided score, Duren was able to record his third-straight double-double on Tuesday. Prior to having two swats in this game, he went three straight games without one. Before that stretch, he had 10 in two games. While he shot the ball well on Sunday, turnovers were an issue for Cunningham. While Cunningham shot 50 percent from the field on Monday, he missed seven of his eight three-point attempts. Inside the arc, the Pistons’ All-Star point guard was elite.
