Both bigs are expected to be available for Charlotte against Minnesota, but with Mark Williams available, neither will play a significant role. Nurkic played 15 minutes off the bench on Monday and is more likely to fill the primary reserve center role than Gibson, though Moussa Diabate will be in the conversation as well.

Payton is set to miss Tuesday’s game against the Knicks with a nasal bone contusion. The 32-year-old shooting guard doesn’t typically have much fantasy value, though he might’ve been in line for a bigger role Tuesday with Stephen Curry (ankle) questionable.

Curry tweaked his right ankle in Monday’s game against the Hornets. The 36-year-old point guard told reporters he thinks he’ll play Tuesday against the Knicks, but won’t if his ankle says he shouldn’t play. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Curry’s availability closer to game-time as his status is up in the air.

Williams has recorded a double-double in four straight games, laying to rest any injury-related concerns after the Lakers rescinded their trade with the Hornets. The third-year center is ranked just outside the top-50 in eight- and nine-cat formats since the All-Star break, with the lone concern being back-to-backs. Of course, the Hornets end Week 18 with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, so this will likely be a three-game week for Williams instead of four.

Initially probable due to illness, Bridges had one of his best offensive games of the season on Monday night. He matched his season-high with 36 points, and the Hornets forward has shot 50 percent or better from the field in three of his four 30-point outings. Since the All-Star break, Bridges has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Fantasy managers who have him rostered hope Bridges won’t be shut down before (or during) the playoff weeks. The Hornets didn’t shut him down last season; hopefully, that will be the case as this season approaches its conclusion.

Ball did more of the usual on Monday, recording a complete stat line, albeit with subpar efficiency. The turnover count was more problematic than the field-goal percentage, as the Hornets point guard was responsible for six for the second-straight game. Of the 38 games Ball has played this season, he’s had at least four turnovers in 17. Due to the turnover category, there’s nearly a two-round difference in Ball’s value in eight- and nine-cat formats. In addition to boosting his fantasy value, LaMelo cleaning up the turnovers would likely improve the Hornets’ chances of winning games.

Podziemski finished Monday’s victory with his second double-double since the All-Star break, and a return to the starting lineup has boosted his fantasy value. Since February 13, the second-year guard has averaged 14.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers per game. Those numbers have been good for top-75 value in eight-cat formats, far exceeding Podziemski’s production for the season as a whole. He’s rostered in 67 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that percentage should increase with the Warriors playing three more games during Week 18.

To say Hield needed a night like Monday would be accurate. In the two games prior, he scored nine points on 4-of-14 shooting and has been inconsistent since the All-Star break. Monday’s performance is a step in the right direction, but coming off the bench does limit Hield’s fantasy upside. Rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has provided 12th-round value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break.

For the first time this season, Curry has recorded double-doubles in consecutive games. The Warriors guard had a relatively quiet scoring night by his standards, but fantasy managers should benefit from the ten assists. Since the All-Star break, Curry has provided top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The next stop on the Warriors’ road trip is New York, where they’ll play the Knicks on Tuesday. However, Curry did roll his right ankle during Monday’s game. While he said he believes he’ll be able to play, that isn’t guaranteed.

After missing Saturday’s loss to the 76ers with a mid-back strain, Butler returned to the Warriors’ lineup Monday night. The final stat line was modest, but of greater interest to the Warriors was their recent addition playing 31 minutes without any issues. Nothing was said in the immediate aftermath of Monday’s win regarding Butler’s availability for Tuesday’s matchup with the Knicks. Fantasy managers will undoubtedly hope to see him on the court for what should be a more challenging matchup.

GP2’s impact usually doesn’t show up in the box score, but he played well against Philadelphia. He tied his season-high for points and contributed solid value in rebounds and assists in just 23 minutes. Six of his 15 points came in the final seven minutes of the game to help Golden State keep the game close in the fourth quarter, though they weren’t able to secure the win. The encore to Curry’s 56-point explosion on Thursday was a strong double-double, though it wasn’t enough to extend Golden State’s winning streak with Jimmy Butler (back) out of the lineup. Still, Curry was able to set a new season-high for assists and record his seventh double-double of the season and his first since January. After replacing Moses Moody in the starting lineup in the second half on Thursday, Post got the starting nod on Saturday, though it was in place of Jimmy Butler, who was sidelined with a back injury. Post took advantage of the opportunity and was Golden State’s second-leading scorer for a second straight game. It’s unclear if he’ll remain in the starting lineup when Butler returns, but he ranks just outside the top-100 in nine-cat leagues over the last two weeks and would have some streaming upside if he remains in that role.

With the drama of the failed trade behind him, Williams has put together two consecutive fantastic stat lines. This was Williams’ second straight 20-point double-double and his seventh of the season. The defensive production and sky high field goal percentage were an added bonus, though not uncommon from Williams this season. Green did a little bit of everything in this game, though it seemed like it was going to be a much bigger performance than it ended up being. Green entered halftime with 13 points, but Charlotte didn’t turn to him much after the break. Green is a solid starter for the Hornets, but he hasn’t been much of a contributor in fantasy basketball. After missing Charlotte’s last two games, Ball was able to log 32 minutes in Saturday’s loss. He has been available for four of their seven games since the All-Star break, and managers should expect him to continue to rotate in and out of the lineup. Ball was better as a scorer than he was in his last two appearances after he scored a totaled 18 points while making just four of his 23 shot attempts in those two games. After a rough performance in Tuesday’s blowout loss to Golden State, Bridges was able to get back on track on Thursday, though it wasn’t enough to end Charlotte’s losing streak. Bridges has taken on more responsibility on offense with LaMelo Ball out of the lineup recently, and while that doesn’t always allow him to have an efficient night, the volume for production is still there. If Ball remains out for Charlotte’s matchup with Washington on Saturday, Simpson should be in line for another start. This was an uncharacteristically quiet performance for Butler, though it was his second in a row. He only had six points on Tuesday, though that can be attributed to it coming in a blowout win where he only played 28 minutes. This low-scoring outing was partially because he shot poorly, partially because Stephen Curry carried the offensive load with 56 points. Steph didn’t get much help in this game, but he really didn’t need it. Curry scored nearly half of Golden State’s points to help them win their fifth straight game. He set a new season-high for both points and three-pointers, and this ended up as the fourth-highest scoring game of his legendary career. This was the third time in Curry’s career that he hit at least 12 three-pointers in a game, which puts him in a tie with Klay Thompson for the most such games. While it wasn’t a huge game for Curry, it was a pretty good effort from the 36-year-old point guard in just 24 minutes in a game that got out of hand early.
