Saturday’s game against the Knicks will be the fourth Podziemski has missed with a strained back, with Moses Moody replacing him in the starting lineup. Green has been incredible on the defensive end of the floor, especially over the past couple of months. However, he made a difference on the offensive end during Thursday’s big win. He knocked down some big triples, and he set a new season-high for scoring. Managers should not get accustomed to this offensive production, but it was nice to see he still has some gas in the tank. Golden State will close out the week against the Knicks on Saturday, and they have a four-game week coming up after that.

Kuminga only played 20 minutes in his first game in over two months, but he was quickly able to make an impact. He got right to work as a scorer and helped close out the game with three dunks in the fourth quarter. Kuminga may not return to the starting lineup this season, but he should be able to make a strong impact off the bench as an energetic scoring option, which is a role that he had success in prior to his injury. That may not be great for category leagues, but he still holds value in points formats.

It was a subpar night for Curry as he finished with just 11 points (4-of-9 FGs), two rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers. However, the second triple that he hit, which came early in the second half, was the 4,000th of Curry’s career. He broke Ray Allen’s record of 2,973 three-pointers in December 2021, and he currently leads James Harden by nearly 900 career triples. Curry has been considered the greatest shooter of all-time for a while now, and this is just another accolade with his name next to it.

Duren extended his double-double streak to four games on Thursday, though it wasn’t enough to get a win. Duren has been fantastic in a few categories but hasn’t been a factor in the rest for most of the season. While that is fine for managers in category leagues, it limits his upside in points leagues. Still, he has had an excellent season, especially over the past two months, where he ranks just outside the top-25 in nine-cat formats.

What a monster night it was for Cunningham. This was his sixth-straight game with at least 25 points, and he added another double-double, along with plenty of defensive production. Cunningham isn’t known for having a generous whistle, but he lived at the foul line on Thursday. He shattered his previous career-highs of 13 free throws made and 13 free throws attempted in a game. It isn’t something managers should get used to since he only averages 5.4 attempts per game. However, it was nice to see him have success there in this game.

Steve Kerr said that Kuminga will not have a specific minutes restriction, but they will be careful with his workload and will use him in shorter stints. Gui Santos stands to lose minutes with Kuminga back, but that won’t devastate many fantasy lineups. Managers will need to keep an eye on how Kerr uses Kuminga in his first game back.

Though he only played 25 minutes because of the lopsided score, Duren was able to record his third-straight double-double on Tuesday. He continues to be a double-double machine with an excellent field goal percentage, and the blocks have been hit-or-miss. Prior to having two swats in this game, he went three straight games without one. Before that stretch, he had 10 in two games. Still, Duren ranks inside the top-50 in nine-cat value over the past two weeks and will look to keep that up over Detroit’s final two games of the week.

Cunningham’s breakout season just keeps getting better. He has scored at least 25 points in five consecutive games and has two double-doubles during that stretch. Turnovers have generally been a massive issue for him, but he only had three in this game. He had at least five in each of Detroit’s last five games prior to this, which makes his three on Tuesday look even better. Detroit only has two more games this week, which includes a rematch with the Wizards on Thursday.

Kuminga, who has been sidelined since early January, will provide a new dynamic to the red-hot Warriors’ rotation. Kuminga hasn’t played alongside Jimmy Butler yet, and he will likely occupy a role off the bench. He may even have a minutes restriction for his first few games back. Hield came off the bench as usual Monday, but with Brandin Podziemski (back) out he was more involved in the offense than usual. The 32-year-old shooting guard had 20 points including six 3-pointers, but also dished out a season-high seven assists. Hield’s last game with more than five assists was back in November, making this an outlier we’re unlikely to see again soon.

Butler, undoubtedly the big winner of the trade deadline at this point, came off back-to-back games with at least 25 points to have his best game as a Warrior yet. The 35-year-old small forward dropped a triple-double on the Trail Blazers. Butler also contributed three steals on the defensive end. Duren has recorded a double-double in four of his last five games, providing fantasy managers with consistent production. Since the break, the Pistons center has been a top 40 player in eight- and nine-cat formats, exceeding his season-long production on both. While Duren’s averages still aren’t as good as his 2023-24 numbers, he’s bounced back from a slow start, and the improved roster has also been a reason why his averages have taken a hit.

While games of 20 points or more have not been the norm for Harris this season, he has been consistently productive. Sunday’s game was his 11th with at least 20, and he’s providing top 75 value in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. As was the case for most of his time in Philadelphia, Harris isn’t a “sexy” player to have rostered in fantasy leagues. However, fantasy managers have a good idea of what they’re getting from him nightly.

While he shot the ball well on Sunday, turnovers were an issue for Cunningham. One night removed from committing nine turnovers in a loss to the Warriors, he was responsible for eight against the Trail Blazers. High-turnover nights have been rare for Cunningham, which has been one of the areas of significant improvement for him this season. A top-10 player in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break, Cade is ranked just outside the top 25 in nine-cat. His overall production has been good enough to avoid taking too big of a hit due to turnovers, which has been great for fantasy managers. The Pistons head home for three games during Week 19, starting with the Wizards on Tuesday.

On a team with Steph Curry, there’s only one guy you want taking a game-winning three-pointer - Draymond Green. Down 108-107 with 35 seconds left, Green nailed a wide-open trey to give the Warriors a lead they would not relinquish. Podz exited after playing just one minute on Thursday due to lower back soreness. However, it may just be a one-game issue. Podziemski could certainly be back to play Detroit on Saturday, but if he isn’t, Buddy Hield and Gary Payton II would be in line for more minutes. Gui Santos started the second half in place of Podz, and while that is a possibility against the Pistons, Kerr could opt to start someone else. Since his first few games with Golden State, Butler hadn’t been as aggressive as a scorer in recent games. However, he had some success on Thursday and had his second 25-point game since being traded to the Warriors, with the first coming in his debut for them almost a month ago. GP2 was sidelined against New York on Tuesday due to a nasal fracture, but he was back in the lineup against Brooklyn. Generally, he hasn’t been much of a contributor in fantasy basketball, but he was able to chip in some value off the bench in this game. Brandin Podziemski exited after playing just one minute due to lower back soreness, and while Payton II didn’t start the second half in his place, he was important in helping Golden State get the win. What an impressive trip to the East it was for Curry. He led Golden State to a 4-1 record on the trip, and they’ve now won eight of their last nine games. The Warriors are now 9-1 with Jimmy Butler on the court, as his presence on the offensive end gives the team an element it sorely needs. Cunningham didn’t score as much as he’s capable of Saturday night, but the Pistons’ offensive balance had much to do with that. Duren was fantastic on Saturday, recording his fifth double-double in seven games and a career-high six blocked shots. How out of the ordinary were the six rejections? Duren amassed a total of six in his previous 10 appearances. Over the past two weeks, he has been a third-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. Of course, Isaiah Stewart (three points, four rebounds, one assist and four blocks in 14 minutes) getting into foul trouble led to Duren playing 30 minutes (or more) for just the fifth time since the beginning of February. He’s been good recently, but Duren managers should keep their expectations in check for a four-game Week 18.
