Ware did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Kings, with his minutes being distributed among multiple players. What also helped the Heat account for the second-year center’s absence was an improved performance from Bam Adebayo, who shot 1-of-13 from the field in Monday’s loss to the Warriors. While Nikola Jović and Simone Fontecchio may pick up a few additional minutes when Ware sits, neither is worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

There weren’t many who believed Warriors head coach Steve Kerr when he said after Monday’s win over the Heat that he could turn to Kuminga if need be, with Jimmy Butler III (knee) done for the season. Well, Kuminga checked into Tuesday’s game at the start of the second quarter and provided excellent contributions in his 21 minutes. The Warriors forward scored 12 points in the third quarter alone, helping make the game somewhat competitive after Golden State fell behind by 29. With Kuminga get legitimate chances to contribute? Or will this be a “shop window” phase in which the team looks to boost his trade value ahead of the February 5 deadline? Regardless of the answer, Kuminga getting the chance to play is huge after being shelved for 16 straight.

After dropping a season-high 24 points in Monday’s win over the Heat, Podziemski was probably due to cool down. He moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday, and the overall stat line was modest. However, one mediocre performance as the fifth starter should not prompt fantasy managers to immediately drop Podziemski, especially if he holds onto that role. He’ll look to bounce back on Thursday against the Mavericks.

With Jimmy Butler III (knee) done for the season, it was “all hands on deck” for the Warriors on Tuesday. Hield, who has been in the rotation the last three games, recorded season-highs in points and three-pointers against the Raptors. The sharpshooter was a perfect 6-of-6 from beyond the arc, and while duplicating that feat in future games will be challenging, Hield can return to fantasy relevance. For deep-league managers needing three-point production, he’s worth keeping an eye on.

Powell’s ceiling is slightly raised with Tyler Herro (ribs) out of the lineup. The 32-year-old shooting guard continues to be the clear focal point of the offense with Herro sidelined. Powell had 22 points and four three-pointers against the Kings, though he didn’t provide much in the other categories. He’s provided 14th-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Heat will be back on the floor Thursday to take on the Trail Blazers.

Adebayo stepped up for the Heat Tuesday in a game where the team was without Tyler Herro (ribs) and Kel’el Ware (hamstring). The 28-year-old center led the team with 25 points against the Kings. Tuesday’s game is the first for the Warriors since losing Jimmy Butler III to a season-ending ACL tear on Monday. Since being moved out of the starting lineup, Ware played 17 minutes or less in five consecutive games before Monday. He logged 18 against the Warriors, but the offensive production was solid. Unfortunately for the Heat, Ware’s performance wasn’t enough to compensate for Bam Adebayo (four points, 12 rebounds and three assists) shooting 1-of-13 from the field. Ware’s potential makes him worth holding onto, especially with Tyler Herro (ribs) out, but managers fighting for their postseason lives may not be able to take that risk.

After scoring 18 points in the first half of Monday’s game, Wiggins appeared to be on course for a big night. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Wiggins missed all five of his shot attempts and failed to score after halftime. While Wiggins’ season-long fantasy value has exceeded his Yahoo! With Tyler Herro (rib) unavailable and possibly missing the Heat’s entire five-game road trip, Powell has even more room to operate offensively. He’s scored at least 19 points in four straight games, surpassing 20 in three of them. Having fallen out of the Warriors’ rotation recently, Hield logged 23 minutes on Monday. The Warriors didn’t have De’Anthony Melton (knee) for injury management reasons, freeing up minutes for the veteran shooting guard. With Jimmy Butler (knee) leaving early in the third quarter and Stephen Curry saddled with foul trouble early in the fourth, Podziemski stepped up to help lead the Warriors to the win. He finished with a season-high point total, with only a blocked shot missing from Podziemski’s stat line. The Warriors made 24 three-pointers in Monday’s victory, extending the team’s streak of games with 20 or more to four. Post was responsible for four of them, and the 16 points were the most he’s scored in a game since December 12.
