Butler had a relatively quiet outing on Friday, despite leading the Warriors in rebounds and tying for the most assists. He made only 2-of-4 shots in the second half and registered just one point in the fourth quarter. The veteran forward’s scoring has slowed down in December compared to the previous two months. He’ll be in solid shape from a fantasy basketball perspective if he can regain his form as a scorer.

Despite not shooting the ball well, Post was Golden State’s second-highest scorer on the evening — the majority of his production came from beyond the arc, where he shot 4-of-11. He also made a decent impact on the boards in his 33 minutes. And while Post’s performance on Friday was nothing spectacular, it marked the fourth straight game he’s scored in double figures. He’ll have chances to produce solid fantasy basketball numbers if Draymond Green (foot) and Al Horford (back) continue to miss time.

Curry returned from a five-game absence and rounded right back into form. The two-time MVP logged 32 minutes and was a missed free throw away from cracking the 40-point mark in his first game back. Still, the high-scoring outing featured strong three-point shooting and efficient scoring inside the arc, along with a brilliant fourth-quarter display of shotmaking that got Golden State back in the game. Curry tied a team-high with assists along the way, and will have a day off to recover before getting back on the floor on Sunday against the Trail Blazers.

On the heels of a two-point outing against the Suns, DiVincenzo bounced back nicely on Friday with his fourth 20-point game of the season. He hadn’t had a significant impact on the game through three quarters, but saved his best for the fourth. In the final frame, he recorded 10 points and knocked down two massive three-pointers to swing the momentum and ultimately help the Wolves get back in the win column. With Mike Conley (Achilles) and Anthony Edwards (foot) out on Friday, and Bones Hyland (knee) exiting early with an injury, there’s a chance DiVincenzo’s usage and production could take a jump in the short term.

After being ejected from Monday’s loss to the Suns, Gobert responded with one of his better performances of the season on Friday. In the win, the veteran center crossed the 20-point mark for the second time this season and pulled down double-digit rebounds to claim his 10th double-double. Most notably, Gobert came up big in the fourth quarter by going 6-of-6 from the field with a key basket down the stretch to help the Timberwolves get back in the win column. His numbers are down slightly this season, but he remains a nightly double-double threat.

Randle did a little bit of everything for the Timberwolves on Friday. The veteran forward led all Minnesota players in scoring, taking advantage of the charity stripe and efficient overall shooting. His work on the boards brought him close to a double-double, and he made several key passes down the stretch of the fourth quarter to help the Wolves land a bounce-back win. Randle has now tallied at least 20 points in four consecutive games and continues to provide value as a facilitator.

Curry is back after missing five games with a left quad contusion/strain, and his inclusion is the lone change to the starting lineup. He replaces rookie Will Richard, with Spencer remaining in the starting five due to his current hot streak. Richard will still get rotation minutes, but the move to the bench lowers his fantasy ceiling.

There’s just one change to the Timberwolves’ starting lineup, but it’s significant. Anthony Edwards is out with a foot injury, so Hyland will make his first start as a Timberwolf. With Mike Conley also out, this may be a spot where Rob Dillingham picks up rotation minutes off the bench, but Hyland should be the focus of deep-league managers looking for a streamer.

Jackson-Davis was initially listed as probable for Friday’s game, so his availability is not a surprise. With Draymond Green and Al Horford out, there may be rotation minutes available to the former second-round pick. However, he is not worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

Initially listed as questionable, Edwards will sit out Friday’s game with a sore right foot. With Mike Conley also out, who starts in Ant-Man’s place is up in the air. Edwards is dealing with a sore right foot, hence his inclusion on the Timberwolves’ injury report. With Mike Conley already out, Minnesota would have to look elsewhere if Ant-Man cannot play. Curry has missed the last five games with a left quad contusion/strain. In that time, Brandin Podziemski has averaged about 26 minutes per game and been a borderline top-100 player in fantasy leagues, and Pat Spencer has gotten a chance to become one of the better stories in the NBA, playing over 26 minutes per game over his last three and averaging 15.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. Curry’s potential return could dampen the run that Spencer has been on.

Not only were the 14 points a season-high for Hyland, but this was his second game in double figures. While he did provide needed perimeter shooting off the bench, one game does not make the former first-round pick a viable fantasy option. Leave Bones on the waiver wire.

While Randle’s fantasy value has slipped recently, with the forward being a seventh-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, he’s scored at least 20 points in three straight games. And after averaging 18.7 points per game in his first season with the Timberwolves, Randle has pushed the number up to 22.9 this season while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. The production and efficiency have improved, making Randle a reliable player to roster, regardless of league format.

Having shot 6-of-17 from the field in his previous two outings, Edwards was a game-time decision for Monday’s game with an illness. He showed no ill effects once the contest got underway, with the Timberwolves guard recording his fifth 40-point game of the season. Even with that two-game mini-slump, Edwards is shooting 55 percent from the field and providing top-20 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Curry suffered a right quad contusion during the Warriors’ November 26 loss to the Rockets, and Sunday’s game against the Bulls will be the fourth that he’s missed. The superstar guard did not travel with the team for its three-game road trip, instead staying back in the Bay Area to recover. The upcoming schedule works out well for Curry and the Warriors, who won’t play their first game of Week 8 until Friday due to the NBA Cup knockout rounds. If he can return to practice on Wednesday, Curry may have a chance of playing against the Timberwolves on December 12.
