Post has been a solid backup center this year, but with Draymond Green healthy, he won’t have much upside as a streamer regardless of his status. If he is unavailable, Al Horford will fill the backup center minutes, and Trayce Jackson-Davis should return to the rotation, though all three players are currently questionable.

Melton last suited up on Nov. 12, 2024, meaning if he sees the floor against Philadelphia, he will play for the first time in over a calendar year. It’s unclear how large of a role he’ll have, though it can safely be assumed that it won’t be a large one at first. Melton has a fantasy-friendly skillset, and he could end up as an intriguing waiver-wire pickup later in the year.

Knee soreness ended Butler’s night early on Tuesday, which allowed Gary Payton II to start the second half in his place. Curry, who suffered a right quad contusion during the Warriors’ November 26 loss to the Rockets, has not played in the team’s last two games. Unfortunately, he’ll be out for a bit longer, with head coach Steve Kerr announcing following Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder that Curry will not travel for the team’s three-game road trip. After visiting Philadelphia on Thursday, the Warriors have games against the Cavaliers (December 6) and Bulls (December 7) before returning home. The hope is that Curry will be able to play on December 12 against the Timberwolves. Until then, Brandin Podziemski should continue to start, and he’s worth adding in 12-team leagues.

With older brother Stephen out with a quad contusion, Seth made his Warriors debut on Tuesday. And he provided excellent scoring value in his role, logging 18 minutes off the bench. Curry was one of four Warriors reserves to reach double figures, and the team will need more of the same with Jimmy Butler exiting Tuesday’s game with a sore right knee. Seth should not be rostered on the strength of one game, but with Stephen not traveling for the upcoming road trip, that could change with another solid performance.

Due to injuries to Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler, the Warriors needed contributions from everyone to compete with the reigning champs on Tuesday. That includes Spencer, who matched his career-high in points in 21 minutes off the bench. In the three games leading up to Tuesday, the two-way contract guard totaled seven points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field. Against the Thunder, Spencer also recorded a career-high in made shots (eight) and provided solid value in the assist category. He should not be picked up in the immediate aftermath of Tuesday’s showing, but Spencer is worth watching for now.

With Stephen Curry (quad) out and Jimmy Butler (knee) not returning for the second half of Tuesday’s game, the Warriors relied on an even more balanced offensive approach than usual. Podziemski was one of six players to score in double figures, and one of four to hit double digits in shot attempts. He’s been Curry’s replacement in the starting lineup. And with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying after Tuesday’s defeat that Steph won’t travel on the upcoming road trip, now is a good time to roll the dice on Podziemski in 12-team formats.

While Williams said after Tuesday’s victory that he still hasn’t reached the point where he’s entirely comfortable on the floor, the Thunder forward’s production has improved from game to game. His scoring output has increased every time out, with J-Dub recording his first 20-point stat line in his third game back from offseason wrist surgery. And while he missed all four of his three-point attempts, the percentages from the field and the foul line were encouraging. Williams has attempted only five three-pointers across three games, and that may be the aspect of his offensive game that takes the most time to get back to speed. But he’s clearly on the right track.

Oklahoma City’s win streak hit 13 games on Tuesday, and Holmgren has seven 20-point games during the run. On Tuesday, he shot 66.7 percent from the field and was a steal shy of a complete stat line. Over the past month, he has provided sixth-round value in nine-cat formats. That doesn’t align with Holmgren’s Yahoo! ADP (26), but it’s not like he’s been a disappointment in fantasy basketball. Plus, the skill set is such that he’s capable of going on a run that would get his value closer to preseason expectations.

While the Warriors used increased defensive intensity and various looks to get back into Tuesday’s game, their inability to slow down the reigning MVP was the difference. After Pat Spencer hit a shot with 4:54 remaining to give the Warriors a one-point lead, Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder went on an 8-0 run to take the lead for good, with the MVP responsible for five of those points. Regarding season-long fantasy value, only Nikola Jokić and Victor Wembanyama have been better than SGA, and the latter is currently out with a calf injury.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made just one change to his starting lineup, replacing Quinten Post with Richard. Butler fell hard on his left side during Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, resulting in a glute contusion that could keep him out of Tuesday’s game. Mitchell exited early from Friday’s game with a knee contusion, but that didn’t hold him out of this game. In fact, it didn’t do much to limit his production. Aside from Friday’s game, when he exited after just four minutes, Mitchell has scored in double figures in all but one game. Portland played this game without Donovan Clingan (illness), and they didn’t replace him with a traditional center. After a rough first half in which he missed all four of his shot attempts, there wasn’t anywhere for Podziemski to go but up. That’s precisely what happened, as he shot 5-of-8 from the field and scored 15 points in the second half. While it was known that others would have to step up with Stephen Curry unavailable, few would have expected Payton to be among them. GPII had his best game of the season against the Pelicans, hitting double figures in points and rebounds for the first time. With Stephen Curry (quad) out, the Warriors needed more from Butler, and he rose to the challenge. The veteran forward finished two rebounds shy of a triple-double, recording his line with solid percentages from the field and the foul line.
