Zubac tied his season-high with 33 points against the Rockets on Wednesday. Almost as surprising as the high scoring output for Zubac was that he’s been held to seven and six rebounds in two of his last three games. The Clippers are back in action Monday against the Grizzlies.

Smith had some good games with Alperen Sengun sidelined and had another good game with Sengun back in the lineup against the Clippers Thursday. The 22-year-old power forward has provided top-100 value this season, but has a limited ceiling playing alongside Sengun and Kevin Durant.

Thompson was just one rebound and two assists shy of a triple-double against the Clippers on Wednesday. The 22-year-old point guard has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five games. The Rockets are off until Monday when they’ll take on the Nuggets.

Sengun hadn’t played in over a week due to an illness, but he still had a great game Thursday. The 23-year-old center has recorded a double-double in three consecutive games played. Only Nikola Jokic has more games with at least 20 points, at least 15 rebounds and at least five assists this year.

Miller has missed three straight games for the Clippers, but the 2023 second-round pick could be available to take on the Rockets on Thursday. His official status will be provided on the official injury report. Miller has been limited by multiple injuries this season, and he hasn’t been able to play a large role when he’s healthy.

On a night when their starting backcourt of Amen Thompson and Josh Okogie combined to score 15 points, the Rockets received solid contributions from Holiday and Reed Sheppard (12/2/3 with two three-pointers) off the bench. The 19 points were the second-most in a game this season for Holiday, who has reached double figures in six of his last seven appearances. However, his fantasy value remains extremely low. The recent run does not change the fact that managers should leave Holiday on the waiver wire.

Smith took advantage of Alperen Şengün’s absence due to an illness, recording a complete stat line while shooting better than 50 percent from the field. While he has reached double figures in scoring in 13 straight games, Saturday’s defeat was the third in which Smith scored at least 20 points. While he is providing top-100 value, Smith has a limited ceiling due to the presence of Şengün and Kevin Durant.

Of the 71 points scored by Rockets starters, Durant and Jabari Smith Jr. were responsible for 49 of them. The limited production from the other starters was too much to overcome in Dallas, as Houston desperately missed Alperen Şengün (illness). Over the past two weeks, Durant has provided top-15 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Houston plays once during Week 8, and they’ll have a total of five games in leagues that will combine Weeks 8 and 9 to account for the NBA Cup.

Zubac started another double-double streak on Saturday after seeing his previous run of three straight end on Friday. Over the past two weeks, he has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats, which aligns with his season-long production. Zubac and the Clippers play once in Week 8, as they visit the Rockets on Thursday.

Leonard has scored at least 20 points in six straight and seven of the eight games he’s played since returning from ankle and foot injuries. He has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats since returning, and he has not missed a game. While the Clippers only playing once during Week 8 isn’t great for Leonard managers from a production standpoint, the added time off may benefit him once the schedule returns to “normal” after the NBA Cup.

Harden finished Saturday’s defeat with a robust stat line, and he made some personal history. The Clippers guard moved into tenth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing Carmelo Anthony. Over the past two weeks, Harden has provided top-25 value in eight-cat formats, one round behind his season-long value. Turnovers remain an issue for the veteran guard, but most fantasy managers understand what they’re getting into at this point in Harden’s career.

Bogdanović has not appeared in a game since November 20. While his return gives the Clippers added depth on the wing, don’t expect to see the veteran log heavy minutes. However, Bogdanović being available likely means fewer minutes for rookie Kobe Sanders, but this won’t affect fantasy basketball.

With Steven Adams already out, the Rockets will also be without Alperen Şengün on Saturday. As a result, Capela moves into the starting lineup and is worth a look in deep leagues out of necessity. The other four starters are unchanged.

Şengün will miss a second straight game, with Steven Adams replacing him in the starting lineup for Friday’s win over the Suns. However, with Adams also out, Clint Capela could move into the starting lineup on Saturday. He hasn’t affected fantasy basketball this season, but the chance to start may change that.

Sengun missed Friday’s game against the Suns with Steven Adams taking his place in the starting lineup. Adams is going to rest Saturday so Clint Capela will be in line for a rare start if Sengun is ultimately ruled out.

Bogdanović appears set to return from an eight-game absence due to a hip injury. The 33-year-old shooting guard is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves. Bogdanović could be on a minutes restriction and also cut into Kobe Sanders and Nicolas Batum’s minutes.

Zubac’s production on Friday was minimal compared to what he has shown over the past couple of seasons. The veteran center didn’t find many scoring opportunities on Friday, and was surprisingly unimpactful on the glass in his 35 minutes of game action. As a result, his streak of double-doubles ended at three games, and he failed to secure double-digit rebounds for the first time since November 22 against the Hornets. He’ll have a chance to bounce back quickly on the second night of a back-to-back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Harden’s numbers were down on Friday across the board, as he put forth one of his least productive outings of the season. He finished with fewer than 20 points for just the 15th time this season, which didn’t appear would be the case after scoring 13 first-quarter points. He was also unproductive on the glass and didn’t provide his usual level of impact as a passer. All in all, it was an unspectacular performance from the former league MVP, relative to what type of numbers he’s usually putting up. Fantasy managers will hope Harden can bounce back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Leonard led the Clippers in scoring on Friday, but did so without scoring efficiently from beyond the arc. He shot 2-of-9 from deep and struggled with his shooting in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies took control and eventually won the game. From a fantasy basketball standpoint, Leonard was solid — he did well on the glass and tallied more assists than his season’s average while chipping in a couple of stocks. Most importantly, the two-time Finals MVP has played 35 minutes in consecutive games. He appears to be off his minutes restriction, which could potentially lead to greater fantasy production going forward.

Smith Jr. tallied another double-digit scoring performance, marking his 18th in 19 games this season — he didn’t get many looks at the rim on Friday but made the most of his opportunities. There wasn’t much production elsewhere for the fourth-year forward against Phoenix, but it wasn’t needed in the lopsided win. He’ll have a chance to find more production on Saturday against Dallas.

Thompson put on a stellar display of basketball on the offensive end against the Suns. He made use of the charity stripe but also dominated inside the arc, making 11 two-point shots before reaching the 30-point mark for the first time all season. He led all scorers for the game and extended his streak of 20-point games to three. He’ll have a chance to secure another high-scoring outing against the Mavericks on Saturday.

Durant put on a very balanced performance on Friday in the first game of the season against his former team. He was accurate inside the arc, as well as beyond it, but also dished out a game-high in assists while being active on the defensive end. Arguably, the only blemish on the night for the two-time Finals MVP was the five turnovers he committed. He otherwise had a successful outing and continues to play well in his first season with the Rockets.

Miller will miss a second straight game with back soreness. His absence opens the door for Kobe Sanders and Cam Christie to take on additional minutes, which won’t make any major changes to the Clippers’ rotation.

Şengün was downgraded from questionable to out ahead of Friday’s matchup with the Suns. The Rockets will instead start veteran center Steven Adams in place of Şengün as they look to secure a second win over Phoenix this season. Clint Capela should move to second on the depth chart at the center position for Friday’s game, which should allow more minutes than usual to find production.

With Alperen Şengün sidelined due to an illness, Adams will start in his place. Rockets coach Ime Udoka said that Adams will sit on Saturday against the Mavericks, so if Şengün remains out, Clint Capela could be in line for his first start of the season.

Sengun popped up as questionable with an illness on Friday afternoon ahead of the matchup against the Suns. The 23-year-old center’s status is up in air with mere hours to get over his illness. If Sengun is out, Steven Adams and Clint Capela will handle the center duties for the Rockets.
