The Nets are without D’Angelo Russell and Nic Claxton, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. Martin will replace Russell, which also raises Keon Johnson’s fantasy ceiling. As for Claxton, he’ll be replaced in the lineup by Clowney, who is a must-stream player, especially with Day’Ron Sharpe also out.

Clowney had been dealing with a wrist injury, but an illness could keep him sidelined on the second night of a back-to-back. With Nic Claxton (rest) sidelined, Clowney will likely start at center if he is available to play. Drew Timme, who had a double-double in his NBA debut on Friday, could be forced to play a massive role if Clowney is ruled out.

Hours after signing a two-year contract, Timme made his Nets debut against the Clippers. Noah Clowney and Day’Ron Sharpe being out meant rotation minutes for the former Gonzaga standout, and he recorded a double-double. There’s no need to add Timme in the aftermath of this performance, but it’s an indicator of what he can offer when playing rotation minutes. The Nets visit the Wizards on Saturday, so one (or both) of those reserve bigs may be available.

Friday night was rough for Johnson and those who have him rostered. He provided limited production and only played for 20 minutes. While Johnson’s playing time occasionally taking a hit is unsurprising since the Nets aim to improve their draft lottery odds, 20 minutes is extreme for a player of his caliber. And with Brooklyn visiting the Wizards on Saturday, there’s no guarantee he will be available. Consider Johnson questionable for that matchup.

No Nets players did much offensively in the 132-100 defeat, with Johnson leading the way in scoring. Percentages have long been an issue for Johnson, which has lowered his fantasy ceiling. However, most nights, the circumstances have made him worth the risk in deep leagues. Unfortunately, that was not the case on Friday, even with the steals production. The Nets visit the Wizards on Saturday in what should be an entertaining game for deep-league fantasy managers.

The former Gonzaga star went undrafted in 2023 and has been working hard in the G League to earn a spot in the NBA. After being named G League Player of the Week, Timme earned a standard contract with Brooklyn. It will be a good opportunity for him over the final couple weeks of the regular season, but it’s likely an indication of how the Nets want the rest of the season to play out. They are currently tied with Philadelphia for the fifth-best lottery odds despite both teams being on lengthy losing streaks. Don’t be surprised if Brooklyn fully pulls the plug on veterans such as Nic Claxton, D’Angelo Russell and Cameron Johnson soon.

Nembhard played just 20 minutes in the Pacers’ big win over the Wizards on Thursday. The 25-year-old point guard was still able to record eight assists in a short stint on the court. It’s the third time in his last six games that he’s recorded at least seven assists. Nembhard’s fantasy value is limited with Tyrese Haliburton back healthy, but he can be a reliable source of assists.

Turner played just 21 minutes in the Pacers’ 53-point blowout win over the Wizards Thursday. The 29-year-old center was part of the offensive explosion as he had 17 points on seven shots including four made three-pointers. Turner went without a block or a steal for the first time since February 4, but that’s understandable considering Indiana pulled the plug on its starters early in this one.

Haliburton only played 25 minutes as the Pacers crushed the Wizards on Thursday. The 25-year-old point guard was absolutely feeling it while he was on the court as he made seven three-pointers. It’s his fourth game with at least 24 points in March. Haliburton only had six assists, breaking a streak of 12 consecutive games with at least 10 assists, but it is a little more understandable in the context of the blowout. This shouldn’t happen again on Saturday against the Thunder, unless of course the Thunder are the ones blowing out the Pacers.

On a night when seven Pacers reached double figures, Mathurin scored a team-high 23 off the bench. After scoring 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting in the two games prior, the Pacers’ reserve was more aggressive in getting to his spots Wednesday night. Haliburton had a rough night from beyond the arc, making one of his nine attempts. However, the Pacers’ point guard dished out a season-high 18 assists while only committing one turnover. Over the past two weeks, Haliburton has offered top-10 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Even if Haliburton isn’t shooting well from three, he’s a safe bet to crack double figures in assists on most nights.

Turner has been more valuable to fantasy managers over the past two weeks, offering top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Increased rebounding and blocked shot production has been the reason, with the Pacers center averaging 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. While he didn’t hit that blocks average against the Lakers, Turner did grab a season-high 12 rebounds. He’ll look to end Week 21 positively when the Pacers play games against the Wizards and Thunder.

Claxton was the only Nets standout in Wednesday’s 30-point defeat, and his value has increased in recent weeks. Toppin has had some excellent nights from beyond the arc this season, though they haven’t come consistently. This was the third time this season that Toppin hit at least six three-pointers in a game, all of which have come in February or March, including twice in Indiana’s last five games. While Sharpe has recorded three steals or more in three games this season, he isn’t expected to provide value in that category on most nights. Rostered in 13 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Sharpe has provided 12th-round value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While fantasy managers can undoubtedly use the points and assists recorded by Johnson on Monday, there were issues. The 1-of-7 night from three wasn’t a huge issue, as few fantasy leagues use three-point percentage as a scoring category. Unfortunately, the six turnovers will impact Johnson’s value in nine-cat formats during Week 21. The good news is that high-turnover nights have not been the norm for Cam, who has been a fourth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. The Nets play three more games during Week 21, starting with the Raptors on Wednesday.

Claxton entered Monday shooting 1-of-16 from three on the season. Against the Mavericks, he made both of his attempts and shot 8-of-11 from the field. The points, rebounds and blocks are more reliable, so fantasy managers should not expect to see Nic turn into a face-up five overnight. However, with the Nets well out of the postseason race, these final games may be used as a testing ground for Claxton. We’ll see if he becomes more willing to take perimeter shots after Monday’s 2-of-2 effort from three.

However, he didn’t have those same shooting issues against Minnesota, and he was able to record his 11th-straight double-double.
