Mathurin will remain sidelined for a third straight game with a sprained left wrist, but a return may not be far away. The Pacers wing had a good workout on Monday, and he could be available for Thursday’s game against the Hawks. Ben Sheppard will play more rotation minutes off the bench, backing up Aaron Nesmith.

Nnaji may miss a game for the first time since January due to a left ankle sprain. With Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson all questionable to play, Nnaji’s chances of contributing on Wednesday will be dependent on the status of those players. If they’re all out and Nnaji plays, he may hold some streaming value.

Cancar has been out since early December after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. He’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball if cleared to play, but Vlatko’s return would give the Nuggets’ frontcourt depth a welcome boost. Aaron Gordon (ankle) and Zeke Nnaji (ankle) are also questionable; Cancar may not even be in the rotation if they’re available.

Watson hasn’t played since January after suffering a right knee sprain, but there is a chance that he makes his return to the lineup against Sacramento. He will likely fill out a reserve role when he returns, and with Aaron Gordon (ankle) questionable, Watson could take on a few extra minutes. However, Denver will likely manage his workload in his first game back.

Gordon has missed Denver’s last two games and is in danger of missing a third straight outing. Russell Westbrook started in place of Gordon on Sunday and contributed 12 points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and two triples in 36 minutes. He should remain in that role if Gordon is sidelined again.

Strawther is dealing with a sprained left knee and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. The 22-year-old shooting guard sustained the injury in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics. Strawther’s absence doesn’t change a ton for the Nuggets, though Christian Braun could see more usage and is still available in some leagues.

Regarding fantasy value, Haliburton has been outstanding since the All-Star break. Recording his fifth straight points/assists double-double, the Pacers point guard is ranked first in eight- and nine-cat formats, per Basketball Monster. Haliburton is providing top-10 value in nine-cat formats for the season, and it’s realistic to expect him to maintain that for the remainder of the season. The Pacers begin a three-game Week 18 with a home game against the Rockets on Tuesday.

While the final stat line was solid, Siakam continues to struggle at the foul line. Since the All-Star break, he’s made 50 percent of his attempts, slightly better than his percentage from the field (49.5). The foul shooting and limited defensive production are why Siakam has been ranked outside the top 200 in eight-cat formats since the break. His season-long fantasy value remains fine, but managers need more from Spicy P as the playoffs approach.

Part of the Pacers’ starting lineup due to his defensive ability, Nesmith has never lacked the ability to knock down shots. He had his best offensive performance of the season on Sunday, recording his first 20-point game. Nesmith has hit double figures in five of his last six outings, sitting just outside the top 75 in eight-cat formats since the All-Star break. The Pacers play three games during Week 18, starting with the Rockets on Tuesday.

Strawther suffered an apparent left knee injury on a drive to the basket during the third quarter, exiting with 3:22 remaining. Jalen Pickett (three points, one rebound and one three-pointer in eight minutes) played rotation minutes after Strawther’s departure, but there isn’t a player worth adding if the second-year wing misses time. Strawther’s exit also factored into starter Christian Braun playing 46 minutes. Shallow-league managers can add Braun (62 percent rostered), but the Nuggets won’t play their next game until Wednesday.

Murray seemingly flipped a switch at the halftime break after shooting 1-of-4 from the field in the first half. The Nuggets guard was far more involved (and impactful) during the second half, with the Nuggets pulling to within three points of the Celtics before falling by seven. Since the All-Star break, Murray has provided top-20 value in eight-cat formats, slightly better than his season-long production.

With Aaron Gordon (ankle) out and the bench giving the Nuggets little production, Braun played a season-high 46 minutes on Sunday. And the third-year guard was productive, surpassing the 20-point mark for the fourth time in eight games. Since February 10, Braun has provided third-round value in nine-cat formats. He’s been a fifth-round player for the season but is only rostered in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues. The only reason why that percentage is not a lock to increase is that Denver doesn’t play its first Week 18 game until Wednesday.

Jokic added another “Sombor Double” to his tally, finishing one assist shy of a triple-double. Jokic has attempted 16 shots or less in five straight games, but his fantasy value has remained elite. The three-time MVP has provided top-5 value in eight- and nine-cat formats since the break, which is the expectation at this stage in Jokic’s career. He’ll now get a welcome respite, as the Nuggets don’t play their first Week 18 game until Wednesday against the Kings.

The Nuggets were again without Aaron Gordon, but Westbrook filled the void in Boston that Zeke Nnaji did in Denver’s prior game. The veteran point guard offered modest value in that role, but the opportunity to play starter minutes raises his fantasy ceiling. With the Nuggets not playing again until Wednesday, the hope is that Gordon can return from his sprained ankle. If so, Westbrook will return to the bench.

Filling in for the injured Aaron Gordon (ankle), Nnaji sprained his left ankle during Friday’s win over the Pistons. Both are considered questionable for Sunday’s game. Bradley, the 28th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, is back in the Association. Most recently, he’s been with the G League’s College Park SkyHawks, averaging 14.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots per game. Bradley most recently played in the NBA during the 2022-23 campaign, appearing in 12 games for the Bulls. With Myles Turner and Thomas Bryant healthy, Bradley is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.

Haliburton had at least 10 assists for the fourth straight game as he’s had a double-double in all four of those games. The 24-year-old point guard has rebounded from an uneven start to the season. Jokic also had a triple-double Thursday in the loss to the Bucks. The 30-year-old center now has 28 triple-doubles in 54 games, needing only four more to break the single-season record (held by Wilt Chamberlain). Jokic dished out 15 assists against the Pistons Friday and is on pace to become the first center to average at least 10 assists in a season. While he isn’t currently the favorite for the league’s MVP away, Jokic is certainly the fantasy MVP this season.

While Siakam has corralled at least eight rebounds in three straight games, the decreased scoring output has negatively impacted his fantasy value. Spicy P has scored 19 points or less in five consecutive games. Add in the limited defensive production, and Siakam is ranked outside the top 250 in nine-cat formats during this stretch. With the Pacers forward being a top-50 player for the season, this may be a good time to buy low on him, especially with Indiana having an advantageous fantasy playoff schedule (four games each in weeks 20-22).

Turner was scalding hot from deep Wednesday night, making all five attempts. Also, he recorded his second double-double in the last 10 outings. The rebounding tally is encouraging, as Turner’s average of 6.6 per game is the lowest since the 2020-21 campaign (6.5). However, while that was a season in which he led the NBA in blocks (3.4 per game), the production in that category hasn’t been as robust this season.
