LeBron didn’t have a huge scoring game, though he hit some clutch free throws to put the game away for the Lakers in the final minute. The 40-year-old small forward added two three-pointers. Since returning from a groin injury, James has struggled a bit in shooting 43 percent from the field against 51 percent on the season. But he just adds so much value in other areas that he’s still returning sixth-round value in nine-cat leagues over the last two weeks. LeBron’s legacy is already cemented as one of the greatest players of all-time, but with his production at this stage of his career, he’s become one of the best “old” players in the history of sports.

Doncic’s three-point shot has been off lately as he’s 7-of-28 from behind the three-point line over his last three games. It’s a testament to his typical usage that he’s still managed to score at least 20 points in all three of those games. The 26-year-old point guard was just four rebounds and one assist away from a triple-double against the Rockets Monday. Doncic hasn’t committed more than three turnovers in a game in any of his last five games. He’ll break out of his three-point slump, but the lower turnover numbers are a legitimate positive trend.

Nesmith led Indiana in scoring to help them get back on track after they lost to the Thunder on Saturday. Six of his 24 points came in the final 20 seconds as he went 6-of-6 at the free throw line to seal the victory for Indiana. Nesmith has been a solid contributor as a starter for the Pacers, especially as of late. He has provided top-75 value in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks with averages of 13.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 triples while shooting 52.1 percent from the floor.

Toppin’s strong stretch continued on Monday, and this was his sixth-straight game scoring in double figures, which is his longest streak since he scored at least 10 points in nine consecutive games in December. Toppin has provided top-100 value in nine-cat leagues over the past week in just 19.8 minutes per game, which is an incredibly small sample size. Still, it shows just how effective he has been. It is quite the hot streak, but small volume success is hard to maintain, which makes it difficult to consider rostering Toppin in standard leagues.

With Myles Turner sidelined with an illness, Bryant made a return to the starting unit. While he has generally been productive as a starter this season, this was one of his quieter performances. The opportunity was too good for managers to pass up, but it was a disappointing night. If Turner remains out against the Hornets on Wednesday, Bryant should get another start and have a much better matchup than trying to deal with Domantas Sabonis on the glass.

There was concern for some fantasy managers that Reaves would be adversely impacted by LeBron James’ return to the Lakers’ lineup after missing two weeks with a strained groin. This type of performance alleviates those worries as Reaves continues to provide excellent fantasy value, even with James back in the mix. Reaves has provided second-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats since LeBron’s return, and he’s scored 30 points or more in consecutive games for the first time this season. With all the attention opposing defenses must devote to James and Luka Doncic, things have opened up for Reaves, and he’s taken advantage. The Lakers play four games during Week 22, starting with the Rockets on Monday.

Over the past two weeks, Doncic has provided top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. While the eight-cat production is unsurprising, Luka’s keeping the turnovers in check has boosted his value in the latter. Averaging 3.8 turnovers per game over the past two weeks, he’s had three or less in four consecutive games, which is his longest streak of the season. If Doncic can continue this trend, fantasy managers looking to close out Week 22 with a league championship will be in an excellent place if they have him rostered.

It was James’ best performance since returning from a groin injury that sidelined him for two weeks. The 40-year-old recorded a complete stat line in Memphis while shooting a shade under 50 percent from the field. A 43.7 percent shooter from the field, James has been a fifth-round player in eight-cat formats over his last five games. That certainly isn’t terrible, but it is a decrease for someone who has ranked just outside the first round in 12-team formats for most of this season. The Lakers play four games during Week 22, starting with the Rockets on Monday. However, a Thursday/Friday back-to-back against the Warriors and Pelicans will be worth watching when it comes to LeBron’s availability.

Following an extended absence, Hachimura appeared in three straight games before sitting out Thursday’s loss to Chicago. That game was the second leg of a back-to-back set, and the Lakers will likely manage Hachimura’s knee injury moving forward. Since returning from seven-game absence due to a calf injury, James has been quiet as a scorer. He has scored less than 20 points in three of his last four games, and he barely held on to his lengthy streak of double digit games on Wednesday. He’ll get things clicking eventually, and he was able to make up for it with 12 dimes on Thursday, which was the most he has had in a game since early February. Unfortunately, the only things people will remember from this game will be LeBron turning it over late and then Josh Giddey hitting the game-winner from half court over James’ outstretched hand.

Doncic wasn’t able to extend his streak of 30-point games to five, but he was still able to provide well-rounded production despite a subpar shooting night. It wasn’t enough to offset the late-game heroics from Chicago, but it was more than enough to make an impact for fantasy managers. The Lakers will wrap up the week in Memphis on Saturday, and then they’ll play four games next week, with a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday. Reaves has been unstoppable recently, and he was able to add another 30-point performance on Thursday, which was his third over the past two weeks. It is worth noting that he tweaked his ankle in a second-straight game, but he was able to return to close out the game. He took advantage of an opportunity to be the hero twice late in the fourth quarter; he extended the Lakers’ lead to five with a pair of free throws and hit a layup with with three second left to give them the lead back. Turner played just 21 minutes in the Pacers’ 53-point blowout win over the Wizards Thursday. The 29-year-old center was part of the offensive explosion as he had 17 points on seven shots including four made three-pointers. Haliburton only had six assists, breaking a streak of 12 consecutive games with at least 10 assists, but it is a little more understandable in the context of the blowout. Haliburton had a rough night from beyond the arc, making one of his nine attempts. However, the Pacers’ point guard dished out a season-high 18 assists while only committing one turnover. After coming off the bench in his first two games back from the knee injury that sidelined him for nearly one month, Hachimura returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday. Still under a minutes restriction, Rui played 28 minutes and only attempted five shots from the field. However, he made two critical fourth-quarter three-pointers and was 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. Due to Hachimura’s minutes restriction, Dorian Finney-Smith (11/3/1/2/1 with three three-pointers) logged 31 minutes despite coming off the bench. James’ streak of 1,252 straight games in double figures was in jeopardy, as he entered the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game without a made field goal. He made four during the final frame, with the last being a tip-in as time expired to give the Lakers the win. LeBron has shot 43.5 percent from the field over the past two weeks, a reason why his fantasy value has decreased. However, as he said during his postgame interview, James is good enough to be impactful even if his shot isn’t falling.
