Haliburton had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists and was just three assists away from a triple-double. Still, the 25-year-old point guard was -23 in 32 minutes as the Pacers lost Game 3 by 16 points. Haliburton had most of his points come on his four made three-pointers. The Pacers will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in Game 4 against the Bucks Sunday.

Siakam has scored at least 24 points in all three games of the series now. The 31-year-old power forward continues to be the primary offensive threat for Indiana. Siakam isn’t known for his three-point shooting, but has made multiple three-pointers in all three games of the series. Though the Pacers lost Game 3, he’ll look to keep up his scoring against the Bucks in Game 4 Sunday.

Lillard returned from a calf injury and scored 14 points on 13 shots in Game 2. The 34-year-old point guard’s struggles continued in Game 3 as he had seven points on 12 shots. Lillard, who hadn’t played since March 18 prior to Game 2, played 32 minutes. Whether it’s rust or lingering effects of the injury, his play is clearly diminished. With just one off-day before Game 4 Sunday, Lillard isn’t in a great spot for a bounce-back.

Trent Jr. went off and had his best game of the year when the Bucks absolutely needed it most. Facing what would’ve been a 3-0 series deficit with a loss and with Damian Lillard failing to score in double figures, Trent Jr. poured in 37 points and nine made three-pointers. Trent Jr. and Giannis Antetokounmpo became the only Bucks duo to have at least 35 points each in a playoff game. With Lillard struggling since returning from injury, Milwaukee might need to count on Trent Jr. for another big performance as they look to even the series in Game 4 Sunday.

Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks Friday. He had 37 points on 19 shots and nine made free throws. The 30-year-old power forward had 12 rebounds to earn a double-double and was four assists away from a triple-double. Giannis’ domination of the Pacers is likely to continue for the rest of the series, though whether the Bucks can even up the series Sunday in Game 4 will largely depend on the support from his supporting cast.

Though Nembhard’s contributions were mostly on the defensive end as the primary defender on Damian Lillard, he was still able to make an impact in the box score. That included a three-pointer with 1:11 left in the game that gave Indiana an eight-point lead, which they had no issues maintaining. Nembhard doesn’t always fill up the stat sheet, but he’ll continue to be an impactful player for the Pacers as their postseason continues. He’ll look to continue keeping Lillard in check in Game 3 as the series shifts to Milwaukee.

After a fantastic performance in Game 1, Siakam had another big night on Tuesday. He is averaging 24.5 points, nine rebounds, 2.5 assists, two steals and 2.5 triples per game through the first two games of this series, with the Pacers having won both. Siakam also added a late three-pointer to seal the win for Indiana and make him the team’s leading scorer for the second game in a row. He’ll look to keep that going in Game 3 in Milwaukee on Friday.

On the same day that The Athletic released a player survey where Haliburton was voted as the most overrated player in the NBA, Indiana’s star point guard picked apart Milwaukee’s defense to help the Pacers jump out to a 2-0 lead in this series. Haliburton only scored 10 points during a rough shooting performance in Game 1 on Saturday, but he had more success on Tuesday and still dished out 12 assists for the second straight game. He’ll look to keep that going in Milwaukee for Game 3 on Friday as the Pacers look to take 3-0 series lead.

With Brook Lopez rendered ineffective, head coach Doc Rivers turned to Portis to take on more minutes at center. Lopez only played 16 minutes after playing 21 minutes in Game 1, while Portis went from playing 25 minutes in Game 1 to playing 31 minutes on Tuesday. Though it didn’t change the result of this game, things went well with Portis on the floor. With Game 3 coming on Friday, we’ll see if this was a rotational adjustment that Rivers will continue to roll with or if this was simply because Portis was having a strong night shooting the ball.

Kuzma’s historically poor Game 1 performance made plenty of rounds on social media over the last few days, but he was more productive in Game 2. He still wasn’t great, but after getting 22 minutes of cardio in Game 1’s 19-point loss, Kuzma was able to chip in some stats on Tuesday. Way to go Kuz! With the series shifting to Milwaukee for Game 3 on Friday, Kuzma will look to be the player that the Bucks were hoping he’d be when they traded for him at the deadline. The last time he played a game in Milwaukee was the regular season finale; he had 22 points in the first quarter before being shut down for the remainder of that game. We’ll see if he can tap back into that shooting prowess.

Just like in Game 1, Indiana didn’t have any answers for Giannis. Also like in Game 1, that wasn’t enough for Milwaukee to get a win. Antetokounmpo has averaged 35 points and 15 rebounds through the first two games of this series, and while he got more help on Tuesday, it still wasn’t enough. There’s no reason to think Giannis won’t continue to put up dominant numbers for this entire series, but other players will need to step up (like Bobby Portis did in this game) if the Bucks are going to comeback in this series. Game 3 will be in Milwaukee on Friday.

Prior to this game, Lillard last played on March 18 due to a deep vein thrombosis in his calf. He missed 15 games before finally returning to play in Game 2 of this series. However, his return wasn’t enough for Milwaukee to even things up. Head coach Doc Rivers didn’t give a set minutes restriction for Lillard before the game, and he ended up logging 37 minutes. Though he didn’t play particularly well, Lillard playing a full workload is an encouraging sign. Game 3 isn’t until Friday, so Lillard will have time to recover after his first game in over a month.

The story of Game 1 for the Bucks was the supporting cast letting down Giannis Antetokounmpo with Damian Lillard sidelined. No one was a bigger letdown than Kuzma, the Bucks’ trade deadline acquisition, who failed to record any stats in his 22 minutes. Kuzma was a living embodiment of the Tony Snell meme in Game 1 as the Bucks lost by nine. He’ll look to turn things around over the rest of the series, though overall he certainly hasn’t been as impactful as the Bucks imagined when he was acquired.

Antetokounmpo put the Bucks on his back in Game 1. The 30-year-old power forward went off for 36 points and 12 rebounds, but his supporting cast was a massive letdown. Antetokounmpo managed just one assist as none of the other Bucks starters were able to reach double figures in scoring. The Greek Freak will need a little more help from his friends to make this series and the Bucks could be getting back Damian Lillard in the next couple games.

Haliburton had an excellent game as a facilitator in Game 1. The 25-year-old point guard moved the ball effectively as he totaled 12 assists. It wasn’t the best shooting game for Haliburton, though. He was just 3-of-13 from the field and missed all seven of his three-point attempts. While the Pacers were still able to take Game 1 by nine points in game that wasn’t as close as the final score, it’s likely they’ll need more scoring from Haliburton to close out this series.

While Turner had just five rebounds in Game 1, he was otherwise excellent. The 29-year-old center was a force on the defensive end with a steal and four blocks. Siakam led the Pacers in scoring in the Game 1 win. The 31-year-old power forward continues to show he’s one of the most underrated players in the league this year. Lillard last appeared in a game on March 18, as a deep vein thrombosis in his calf placed the Bucks guard on the sideline. Lillard has participated in recent practices, which have included some 3-on-3 action, after being medically cleared earlier this week. Conditioning is the major concern at this stage, as he was unable to do anything during the early stages of the DVT. Game 2 of the series is on Tuesday, with the Bucks hosting Game 3 on Friday. Ryan Rollins has been Lillard’s replacement in the starting lineup, with Giannis Antetokounmpo serving as the “point guard.”

With four of Milwaukee’s five starters ruled out for a season finale that had no impact on playoff seeding, Smith played extended minutes for the first time since early February. The rookie played very well, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and recording his first 20-point game. Kuzma was the lone starter on the court for Sunday’s regular-season finale and did not get cheated as he went on a heater for a quarter. He was back in street clothes for the second half. Having been passed in the rotation by AJ Green (6/3/4 with two three-pointers in 19 minutes), one can argue that Connaughton desperately needed a day like Sunday, regardless of the strength of the two teams on the court. Not only did he establish a new career-high point total, but this was also his first game with at least 25 points. Connaughton shot over 50 percent from the field and was also productive in the rebound, assist and steals categories. The Pacers sat all five of their starters for Friday’s game, as the chances of passing the Knicks for the three-seed in the East were slim. Mathurin was one of the replacements, and while the points, rebounds and steals were good, he was inefficient. He shot poorly from the field and racked up five turnovers, the most in a game for Mathurin since January 18. With Indiana knowing its seed and first-round opponent (Milwaukee), Sunday’s game against Cleveland will be another opportunity to rest the starters.
