Siakam and Sheppard sat out Sunday’s win over the Nuggets, with the former’s absence being more impactful. Obi Toppin replaced Spicy P in the starting lineup and was excellent, hitting four three-pointers and scoring 22 points. He’ll remain in that role if Siakam cannot play on Tuesday. As for Sheppard, his absence led to Johnny Furphy playing a few rotation minutes, but that was not enough to impact fantasy basketball.

With Tyrese Haliburton (9/3/14/1/1 with one three-pointer) struggling to find his groove as a scorer, Nembhard was one of the Pacers who picked up the slack. Rostered in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the third-year guard has been a ninth-round player over the past two weeks. Nembhard’s fantasy ceiling remains low as Haliburton’s sidekick in the backcourt, but his floor has been relatively safe this season.

Turner did not provide much value as a rebounder, but category league managers will continue to value his points, blocks and three-pointers. The Pacers center has made 10 three-pointers and blocked 11 shots in his last three games, which has made him a third-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. For fantasy managers whose leagues will be active, Indiana plays four games during Week 23, starting with the Wizards on Tuesday.

Due to the Pacers not having Pascal Siakam, Toppin was tabbed to make his second start of the season on Sunday. And he was productive overall, shooting 50 percent from the field. However, Toppin did most of his damage before halftime, scoring 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He was 1-of-6 from the field in the second half, but other Pacers stepped up to help Indiana keep alive its hopes of catching New York for the three-seed in the East. The Pacers play four games during Week 23, and Toppin will have value in deeper leagues that remain active, especially if Siakam remains out.

After scoring 29 points on 11-of-25 shooting across his two prior appearances, George exploded in Atlanta. The 35 points were a season-high for the Jazz guard, who has three games of 30 or more to his credit. However, while George has averaged just under 18 points per game over the past two weeks, he’s only shooting 39 percent from the field. Add in the limited defensive production, and George has only been a late-round player in 12-team leagues over the past two weeks.

Collier has reached double digits in assists in two of his last three appearances, with Sunday’s total being one shy of his season-high. While his shooting has been inconsistent, the rookie’s had an excellent season in the assist category. His total of 446 assists is a Jazz rookie record, with John Stockton being the previous record holder with 415. The season’s final three games will be crucial for Collier, who continues to do what he can to show he’s capable of running the team in the future.

Sexton has scored 27 points in two straight games, and the Jazz guard has recorded 20 or more in four of his last five. Over the past two weeks, he is ranked just outside the top 50 in nine-cat formats and has been a top-75 player in eight-cat. For Sexton managers whose leagues run through Week 23, he’ll have solid fantasy value as the Jazz continue to play him starters’ minutes. However, Utah only plays three games next week, starting with the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Kessler will remain out for another game. He’s in the league’s concussion protocol and has a broken nose. Kyle Filipowski should remain the starting center, which raises his fantasy ceiling. Juzang moved into the starting lineup with Walker Kessler (concussion) out Friday. The 24-year-old shooting guard played 36 minutes in the loss to the Pacers. He took plenty of shots, but had just 17 points. Juzang connected on 5-of-12 three-pointers. He was just okay as a streamer in deeper formats, which was to be expected.

Sexton’s minutes have been up and down lately as the Jazz try to take a look at some younger players. He played 33 minutes Friday against the Pacers and was able to score 27 points. The outing was a bit of an anomaly for Sexton as he shot just 8-of-15 from the field, but got to the foul line 10 times and knocked down nine free throws to boost his total. The 26-year-old shooting guard is certainly capable of scoring upwards of 20 points a game consistently, but the Jazz don’t seem all that interested in giving him the opportunity every night.

Siakam was questionable with an elbow injury, but ended up having one of his better games of late Friday against the Jazz. The 31-year-old power forward impacted the game in a number of ways. He had 22 points on 16 shots including two made three-pointers. Siakam also chipped in with five rebounds and five assists. He also made his presence known on the defensive end with three steals and four blocks. Siakam has provided fifth-round fantasy value over the last month as he continues to have a strong season.

Haliburton once again had at least 10 assists, extending his new streak to three straight games. The 25-year-old point guard played just 28 minutes as the Pacers beat the Jazz by 28 points. Turner went off for 26 points Friday against the Jazz. It’s the most points the 29-year-old center has had in a game since January 16, when he dropped 28 points on the Pistons. Turner was 9-of-17 from the field including three made three-pointers and got to the foul line eight times and made five free throws. Turner isn’t known for his scoring explosions, though he is a good shooter for a big man. After a two-game absence, Kessler returned to the Jazz lineup and played 28 minutes on Wednesday. He did fill out the stat sheet, which, unfortunately, included a 1-of-5 night at the foul line. The inconsistent availability has negatively impacted Kessler’s fantasy value, as he’s ranked well outside the top 150 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Of course, fantasy managers who have him rostered aren’t going to drop Kessler, nor should they. That said, Kyle Filipowski has been far more reliable recently, and he’s only rostered in 39 percent of Yahoo! leagues. The rookie struggled on Wednesday, shooting 3-of-14 from the field and dropping a 6/11/1/2/2 line, but he’s provided ninth-round value over the past two weeks.

Sexton returned to the Jazz lineup after missing Monday’s loss to the Hornets and was solid in his 24 minutes on the court. While he’s still rostered in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues, the issue for fantasy managers is that the Jazz essentially know what they have in Sexton. As a result, he’s not playing starters’ minutes despite being in the starting lineup. Johnny Juzang, bumped to the bench with Sexton back in the lineup, finished Wednesday’s defeat with five points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 23 minutes, shooting 2-of-11 from the field.

Sure, there aren’t many positives to take from a 143-105 defeat. However, Collier’s performance was arguably his best of the season. Not only did the rookie shoot over 50 percent from the field and score 22 points, but he also dished out 10 assists and did not commit a turnover. With Collier committing at least four turnovers in four of his previous five appearances, this was a welcome performance from the first-round pick out of USC. Given how Jazz coach Will Hardy has handled the minutes, it appears the team feels better about Collier at the point than 2023 first-round pick Keyonte George. George has not started a game since January 22, and he finished Wednesday’s loss with 14 points, one rebound and three three-pointers in 27 minutes.

Nesmith led Indiana in scoring to help them get back on track after they lost to the Thunder on Saturday. Six of his 24 points came in the final 20 seconds as he went 6-of-6 at the free throw line to seal the victory for Indiana. Nesmith has been a solid contributor as a starter for the Pacers, especially as of late. Toppin’s strong stretch continued on Monday, and this was his sixth-straight game scoring in double figures, which is his longest streak since he scored at least 10 points in nine consecutive games in December. Toppin has provided top-100 value in nine-cat leagues over the past week in just 19.8 minutes per game, which is an incredibly small sample size. Still, it shows just how effective he has been. Filipowski got another start with Walker Kessler and Lauri Markkanen out against the Hornets Monday. The 21-year-old power forward was hardly efficient on offense, going 2-of-8 from behind the three-point line.
