The Cavaliers are in firm control of the top spot in the East and have taken opportunities to rest members of their “core four” occasionally. Mobley will sit out Thursday’s game, and his absence coincides with Donovan Mitchell’s return after not playing on Tuesday. De’Andre Hunter, Sam Merrill, Isaac Okoro and Dean Wade are four options to fill the void left by Mobley, with Hunter offering the highest upside. As for Tyson, his continued absence does not impact the Cavaliers’ rotation.

Mitchell is back after sitting out Tuesday’s win over the Trail Blazers. Sam Merrill replaced him in the starting lineup, but Spida’s return does not automatically mean he’s headed to the bench. Evan Mobley (rest) is out, so Merrill, along with De’Andre Hunter, Isaac Okoro and Dean Wade, could be among the options to start.

Donovan Mitchell’s absence from Tuesday’s game may not have pushed Jerome into the starting lineup, but it did mean more opportunities to shine. The reserve guard has scored 20 points or more in 11 games, five more than his first five NBA seasons combined. Jerome may not be among the leading vote-getters for Sixth Man of the Year, but his progress in Cleveland cannot be denied. Rostered in 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he is worth streaming on nights when one of the Cavaliers’ two starting guards is unavailable.

Mobley matched his season-high in blocks on Tuesday, and he’s recorded multiple rejections in three straight games for the first time since mid-February. Over the past two weeks, the Cavaliers’ big man has been a top-30 player in nine-cat formats. While Jarrett Allen (14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 27 minutes) continues to provide reliable fantasy value, Mobley has emerged as the team’s top frontcourt option this season. And that won’t change anytime soon.

Garland shouldered more of the scoring workload on Tuesday due to Donovan Mitchell being out. The good news for those with the point guard rostered is that the lineup change did not negatively impact his efficiency. Garland shot over 50 percent from the field and finished with a 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Over the past month, he has provided fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. Garland managers’ only concern is the occasional rest day, especially with Cleveland scheduled to play a Thursday/Friday back-to-back.

The Cavaliers held out Donovan Mitchell (groin) on Tuesday, resulting in Merrill joining the starting lineup. As expected, he provided solid value in the points and three-point categories, and the few managers who streamed Merrill aren’t complaining about the three assists, either. Primarily a three-point shooter, Merrill’s production has not been good enough to make him a player worth streaming on most nights, even when Cleveland is down a starter. But give him credit for a solid performance in Portland.

Harden is dealing with a sore right foot, which he injured during Sunday’s loss to the Thunder. If he’s unable to play against the Knicks, the Clippers will have to fill a massive void in their starting lineup. Kris Dunn, already a starter, would have a higher ceiling, while Derrick Jones Jr., Bogdan Bogdanovic and Amir Coffey are potential replacements in the starting lineup. Of those three, Bogdanovic would offer the highest offensive ceiling as a starter.

Zubac has only failed to record a double-double twice since the All-Star break, as he continues to provide reliable (and excellent) value to fantasy managers. Leonard played 40 minutes for the second time this season and has been an excellent fantasy asset recently. Over the past two weeks, the Clippers star has provided top-10 value in eight-cat formats. For most players, a three-game week would be bad news for fantasy managers. However, the Clippers’ Week 21 slate should ensure Leonard managers of three games. The Clippers head east, beginning with the Knicks on Wednesday.

Harden played 35 minutes on Sunday, which Clippers coach Tyronn Lue regretted during his postgame press conference. During the third quarter, the Beard took a Luguentz Dort knee to the left thigh and struggled to move with his usual fluidity for the remainder of the game. The good news for the Clippers is that their first game of Week 21 isn’t until Wednesday night against the Knicks. If Harden has to miss time, Kris Dunn (7/3/1/1 with one three-pointer in 19 minutes) will have a higher fantasy ceiling, while Derrick Jones Jr. (9/4/1/0/3 with two three-pointers in 26 minutes) could return to the starting lineup.

Garland struggled with his shot on Sunday, but that did not prevent him from recording a complete stat line against the Jazz. Having scored 19 points or less in four straight and five of his last seven outings, the Cavaliers guard has been a fifth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Garland’s game isn’t solely about scoring, so his fantasy value remains high despite the recent downtick in points.

Cleveland won Sunday’s game by outscoring Utah 37-19 in the third quarter, but Mitchell was only needed for 21 minutes. That may be the most significant concern for fantasy managers still competing in their leagues. Cleveland has a comfortable lead in the Eastern Conference. While the team still has the opportunity to claim the NBA’s best record, it may prioritize getting its key players additional rest ahead of the postseason. The Cavaliers play four games during Week 21, but a midweek back-to-back could limit Mitchell to three appearances.

Allen and the Cavaliers started slowly on Sunday, but a 37-19 third quarter was enough to put the game in the bag. And this was a much-needed effort from Allen, who scored 24 points in the previous three games. While the recent downtick in scoring hasn’t helped, foul shooting has been the more impactful issue for Allen recently. Ranked outside the top 100 in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, the Cavaliers post is an ice cold 58.3 percent from the foul line in that stretch. Sunday’s 2-of-5 effort won’t help, but fantasy managers will take Allen’s overall stat line.

The last five games for Leonard should scare the rest of the NBA. During that stretch, he has averaged 26.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.8 three-pointers while shooting 60.2 percent from the floor. That has allowed him to provide top ten value in nine-cat leagues during that stretch. The Clippers have three more back-to-backs this season, though two of them are in April and one is during the final week of the regular season. There is no reason for him to play back-to-backs this close to the playoffs, but when he is on the floor, he will continue to shine.

Harden seems to have turned back the clock over the past few weeks, and he is producing like the player that won an MVP Award. He has had a strong year overall, but he has cleaned up the inefficiency recently, which has taken his game to another level. He has averaged 4.4 turnovers per game this season but has only turned it over five times over his last three games. On top of that, he has shot at least 50 percent from the floor in three of his last four games. Zubac added another double-double to his season total in another big win for the red-hot Clippers. They have won five in a row and eight of their last nine, and Zubac’s dominance has been a big reason for that. He has had the best season of his career, which includes career-highs for points, rebounds, assists and minutes per game. Tyronn Lue has finally handed the keys to the center position to Zubac instead of making him split minutes with another big, and it has resulted in success for both fantasy managers and the Clippers.

Mobley’s excellent season continued Friday despite the Cavaliers hitting a bit of a speed bump having now lost four games in a row. The 23-year-old center was still able to have a double-double, though he was hardly efficient on offensive with 16 points on 14 shots. Mitchell shot 5-of-10 from the field after halftime, nearly pulling the Cavaliers across the finish line in Sacramento. While his performance did not result in a Cleveland victory, fantasy managers certainly benefitted from having Mitchell in their lineups. Mobley dropped an excellent stat line on Wednesday, recording his third double-double with at least 30 points this season. He has scored 20 or more six times since the All-Star break, an expected output given the ability of Cleveland’s top four offensive options. The Cavaliers played Wednesday’s game without Darius Garland, who sat out for rest reasons. Wade was tabbed to fill the void in the starting lineup, and he provided solid value in that role.
