In the five games he played after being moved out of the starting lineup, Williams averaged 8.6 points while shooting 32.6 percent from the field. He had no such issues on Saturday, with the 20 points the most the Mavericks guard has scored in a game since October 29. Saturday’s performance won’t be enough to get Williams back on the radar in most fantasy leagues, as Ryan Nembhard continues to start. But he is worth keeping an eye on, as Williams appears to be locked into the backup role ahead of D’Angelo Russell.

Back in the lineup after a four-game absence, Washington recorded one of his best all-around lines of the season. While the scoring was modest, he did a good job on the glass and matched his career-high with five steals. However, this was Washington’s second game this season with more than two steals, so fantasy managers should not expect Saturday’s performance to become the norm. And Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd’s decision to stick with Naji Marshall (15/2/2/1 with one three-pointer) was good news for those who turned to him while Washington was out.

Flagg finished Saturday’s victory with a complete stat line, and his fantasy value continues to improve after a slow start to his rookie campaign. Over the past two weeks, the forward has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. In addition to him getting more comfortable, Flagg has seemingly benefited from some solidity at the point guard position, with fellow rookie Ryan Nembhard (11/1/7/1 with one three-pointer) making the job his own recently.

Davis finished Saturday’s game with a stat line on par with what many have expected of him, but injuries have been a disappointing issue for him. However, he did play both games of this Friday/Saturday back-to-back, which is immense, given Davis’ struggles to stay healthy. Dallas only plays once during Week 8, which will give Davis and his teammates some time to get healthier.

Zubac started another double-double streak on Saturday after seeing his previous run of three straight end on Friday. Leonard has scored at least 20 points in six straight and seven of the eight games he’s played since returning from ankle and foot injuries. He has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats since returning, and he has not missed a game. While the Clippers only playing once during Week 8 isn’t great for Leonard managers from a production standpoint, the added time off may benefit him once the schedule returns to “normal” after the NBA Cup.

Harden finished Saturday’s defeat with a robust stat line, and he made some personal history. The Clippers guard moved into tenth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing Carmelo Anthony. Over the past two weeks, Harden has provided top-25 value in eight-cat formats, one round behind his season-long value. Turnovers remain an issue for the veteran guard, but most fantasy managers understand what they’re getting into at this point in Harden’s career.

Washington is back after a four-game absence, but his presence in the starting lineup does not come at Marshall’s expense. Instead, it will be Max Christie who heads to the bench after starting 21 consecutive games. While he will remain in the rotation, Christie’s already-low fantasy ceiling takes a hit with the change.

Hardy came off the bench and notched his best scoring performance of the season. All of his production came in the second half once the score was lopsided and in favor of the Thunder. Still, he shot well in his 20 minutes of game action, particularly from beyond the arc, and finished as the Mavericks’ leading scorer on the evening. Regardless of Hardy’s strong outing on Friday, he’s not a player fantasy managers should be keeping tabs on at the moment.

A one-sided loss limited the 2025 first-overall pick to under 30 minutes of game action on Friday for the first time since mid-November. He shot poorly from beyond the arc and fell short of the 20-point mark, ending his streak of such games at three. Still, Flagg shot fairly well overall on relatively low volume and was one of Dallas’ best scorers on the evening. His impact elsewhere was minimal.

Davis had his worst performance of the season on Friday. In 24 minutes, he tallied more assists than he did points, and contributed just one made shot on the evening before finishing as the only Mavericks starter to score in single digits. His lone impact from a fantasy basketball standpoint came as a facilitator, where he notched a season-high in assists. It was otherwise a performance the veteran center will hope to quickly move on from. He’ll have a chance to bounce back against the Rockets on Saturday, should he be available to play.

Zubac’s production on Friday was minimal compared to what he has shown over the past couple of seasons. The veteran center didn’t find many scoring opportunities on Friday, and was surprisingly unimpactful on the glass in his 35 minutes of game action. As a result, his streak of double-doubles ended at three games, and he failed to secure double-digit rebounds for the first time since November 22 against the Hornets. He’ll have a chance to bounce back quickly on the second night of a back-to-back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Harden’s numbers were down on Friday across the board, as he put forth one of his least productive outings of the season. He finished with fewer than 20 points for just the 15th time this season, which didn’t appear would be the case after scoring 13 first-quarter points. He was also unproductive on the glass and didn’t provide his usual level of impact as a passer. All in all, it was an unspectacular performance from the former league MVP, relative to what type of numbers he’s usually putting up. Fantasy managers will hope Harden can bounce back against the Timberwolves on Saturday.

Leonard led the Clippers in scoring on Friday, but did so without scoring efficiently from beyond the arc. He shot 2-of-9 from deep and struggled with his shooting in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies took control and eventually won the game. From a fantasy basketball standpoint, Leonard was solid — he did well on the glass and tallied more assists than his season’s average while chipping in a couple of stocks. Most importantly, the two-time Finals MVP has played 35 minutes in consecutive games. He appears to be off his minutes restriction, which could potentially lead to greater fantasy production going forward.

How Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd chooses to handle his point guard rotation has been unpredictable for most of this season. However, he may have found his answer in Nembhard. After dishing out ten assists in Monday’s win over the Nuggets, the rookie established a new season-high with 13 on Wednesday, and he only committed one turnover. In four starts, Nembhard has 30 assists and five turnovers. While Brandon Williams (7/2/2 in 14 minutes) and D’Angelo Russell (10/3/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) played rotation minutes off the bench, Nembhard logged 34 as the starter. He’s worth rolling the dice on, especially with the Mavericks having two more games on their Week 7 schedule.

While his overall field-goal percentage wasn’t great, Thompson knocked down another five three-pointers on Wednesday. Since shooting 1-of-7 from deep in the Mavericks’ November 21 win over the Pelicans, the veteran guard/forward has made at least three three-pointers in six straight games. Davis didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his injured right ring finger may be an issue. That said, he still shot 50 percent from three and was highly impactful as a rebounder and shot-blocker. Haynes’ initial report said the Clippers were “severing ties” with Paul, and the team released a statement confirming that. Paul also posted on Instagram at 2:40 a.m. in Atlanta, where the Clippers are playing on Wednesday, that he is being sent home. Paul announced previously that this would be his final season, so this could give him an opportunity to join a contending team to close out his career. That was likely the idea with the Clippers, along with Paul enjoying some of the best seasons of his career with them, but the team has started off 5-16. In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career.
