This will now be the ninth game in a row that Leonard has missed with his multiple foot injuries. The Clippers are just 1-7 over the first eight games without him, and would certainly love to have him back on the court, especially with Bradley Beal (hip) and Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) also out. Nicolas Batum and Kobe Sanders will continue to see larger roles in his absence.

Watson came out of nowhere to have a tremendous game against the Pelicans on Wednesday. The 23-year-old shooting guard made five three-pointers after only even attempting six threes in his previous four games. Watson certainly has an opportunity to put up better numbers with Christian Braun (ankle) sidelined and now he has momentum coming off a 32-point game.

Jokić started the week with a 38/18/13 line against the Bulls in a loss on Monday and picked up where he left off with a 28/11/12 line in the win over the Pelicans on Wednesday. The 30-year-old center’s triple-double was his third in a row and ninth of the season. Jokić remains on top of the fantasy basketball world. His next chance for another massive stat line will come Friday against the Rockets.

The Nuggets won’t have Aaron Gordon for Wednesday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Having entered Monday shooting 37.2 percent from the field and 21.1 percent from three, Johnson needed a good night in the worst way. Against the Bulls, he shot 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and finished with season-highs in points and three-pointers. This was the first game in which Johnson made at least three three-pointers in a game, and his previous high point total was 15. One game does not make Johnson a player worth rostering in 12-team leagues again, but it’s a step in the right direction.

One game removed from recording his first double-double of the season, Gordon notched a second on Monday. The negative for fantasy managers is that he did not record any assists, steals or blocked shots, the first time Gordon’s tossed up a bagel in all three categories in the same game this season. Thanks to excellent production in points, rebounds and three-pointers with high percentages, AG is providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats. However, the margin for error is slim due to the lackluster assists and defensive stats.

For the first time this season, Murray recorded a points/rebounds double-double, with the other two being of the points/assists variety. The 34 points were the most the Nuggets guard has scored in a game since an October 27 win over the Timberwolves in which he tallied 43. Murray continues to exceed his Yahoo! ADP, ranking within the top-25 in nine-cat formats. It would be unsurprising if he had another big game on Wednesday when the Nuggets visit the reeling Pelicans.

Jokić had a chance to send Monday’s game to overtime, but his long three-point attempt fell short of the rim as time expired. However, fantasy managers aren’t concerned about the game’s outcome. Jokić recorded his second straight triple-double and eighth of the season. Whether it’s eight- or nine-cat formats, the Nuggets center remains the most valuable player in fantasy basketball. And with the Nuggets visiting New Orleans on Wednesday, Jokić could be in for another huge stat line.

Zubac’s final stat line was modest, but the 7-footer did record his eighth double-double of the season on Monday. Six have been tallied over the last seven games, and just as crucial for fantasy managers is the playing time. During this seven-game stretch, Zubac has played an average of 34 minutes, even higher than his career-best mark of 32.8 last season. Brook Lopez, who was brought in to provide legitimate value as the backup center, hasn’t answered the call. Harden had two opportunities to win the game in the final seconds, but both three-point attempts missed the mark. That may have been an appropriate conclusion to what was an inefficient and frustrating night for “The Beard.” Harden shot 2-of-12 from three and wasn’t much better inside the arc, shooting 28 percent overall. A perfect night at the foul line boosted the final point total, but he’s been asked to shoulder a heavy workload due to the Clippers’ injuries. Fantasy managers who have Harden rostered have to hope that he doesn’t get worn down.

Sanders made his first professional start on Monday and delivered solid offensive production. He shot just under 50 percent from the field and notched season-highs in points and three-pointers. While the production outside of those categories was lackluster, Sanders logged 30 minutes. With Cam Christie (two points and one blocked shot) playing 12 minutes and Kobe Brown picking up a DNP-CD, that may bode well for Sanders in the short term. The Clippers will be without Jones for at least six weeks after he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Celtics. Sanders, a second-round pick out of Nevada who has averaged 13.8 minutes in five appearances, will fill the void on Monday. Harden’s surreal 32-point second half was the driving force behind the Clippers’ late rally, as he nearly willed them to an improbable comeback win in Boston. He buried a pair of clutch three-pointers in the final 10 seconds to make it a one-point game with two seconds left, but missed a potential game-tying trey at the buzzer — a sequence that somehow felt like the perfect microcosm of his entire career. Zubac has been a double-double machine this season, accomplishing the feat seven times through 13 contests. The 28-year-old center had little trouble exploiting Boston’s lack of interior size and depth by repeatedly going to work against Neemias Queta and Luka Garza. The Clippers probably should’ve gone to him more frequently in this one, but they did get 17 points in 30 minutes from fellow big man John Collins. Gordon had an unspectacular, but somewhat productive night against the Clippers on Wednesday. Not much was asked of Gordon on a night in which Nikola Jokic scored 55 points and 18-of-23 shooting. Yet, he finished with decent production from a fantasy basketball standpoint, regardless. While he was in the role many fantasy managers expected him to fulfill, the former Hawks forward struggled against the team that selected him in the 2017 draft.
