Thompson’s shooting remains inconsistent. The 22-year-old point guard’s 20 points were just the second time he’s had at least 20 points in his last six games. Sunday’s game was the first for Jones since November 16, as a sprained right MCL sidelined him. “Airplane Mode” was under a minutes restriction and John Collins (illness) was unavailable, so there isn’t too much to learn from Sunday’s game regarding how the power forward minutes will be divided in the future. Nicolas Batum (12/4/1/1 with four three-pointers) filled in for Collins and played 31 minutes against the Pistons. A lot more will be learned about the Clippers’ power forward rotation if Collins is available on Tuesday against the Kings.

Harden didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, but that can happen when the ball is in your hands at the end of the shot clock consistently. He kept the turnovers in check, committing three, and The Beard was perfect at the foul line. Over the past two weeks, Harden has only been a fourth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats, thanks to his shooting 40.5 percent from the field. He’ll look to clean that up during a three-game Week 11 that begins on Tuesday against the Kings.

Let’s get the negative out of the way right now: Leonard’s streak of made free throws ended at 64 on Sunday. That was the only negative for the Clippers star, who enjoyed a historic night at the Pistons’ expense. Leonard tied the Clippers’ franchise single-game scoring record (James Harden set the original mark), and he joined Anthony Davis as the only players in league history to record at least 50 points, five steals and three blocks in a single game. Third quarters have been an issue for most of this season, but Kawhi solved that by scoring 26 of the Clippers’ 32 points in the frame (Detroit managed 27 points). The Clippers play three games in Week 11, starting with the Kings on Tuesday.

With Houston blowing Saturday’s game open during the second and third quarters, there were a few more minutes available to Sheppard. Rostered in 47 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Smith has provided sixth-round per-game value in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. While there is certainly concern about how Tari Eason’s return may affect his value, Smith was solid in wins over the Lakers and Cavaliers to end Week 10. Also, Eason (nine points, six rebounds, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in 21 minutes) will remain limited to 25 minutes, and back-to-backs remain off the board for the foreseeable future. For that reason, Smith’s fantasy value may be protected for the time being.

The final score of 117-100 does not tell the whole story, as the Rockets led by more than 30 at one point in the second half. Over the past two weeks, the future Hall of Fame forward has provided top-10 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Lopez had his best game as a Clipper on Friday, setting new season-highs in points and three-pointers in his second start of the season. The veteran saw two triples drop early before following with three makes in the second quarter and four in the third. His four makes from beyond the arc in the third quarter were particularly impactful, as they helped flip the game and allowed the Clippers to come from behind and take a lead into the final period, which they would never relinquish. Lopez won’t sustain this type of production each game, but will surely have opportunities to be impactful while Ivica Zubac (ankle) is out of the lineup.

Lopez was moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday due to the absence of Ivica Zubac, who will miss at least three weeks with a sprained ankle. Unfortunately, the veteran center did not bring much production to the table. With Kawhi Leonard and James Harden on the floor, Lopez has a low ceiling, especially since he isn’t the lob threat that Zubac is. Harden and Kawhi Leonard combined to score 70 of the Clippers’ 128 points, leading the team to a second consecutive win over a top Western Conference opponent. He’s shot just 38.6 percent from the field during this stretch, nearly five percentage points lower than his number for the season (43.5). After watching him shoot 6-of-20 from the field in Saturday’s win over the Lakers, Harden managers needed a night like Tuesday.

Given how poorly the Clippers have played for most of this season, the general feeling going into Tuesday’s game was that they could be on the wrong end of a blowout. Reunited with “Terror Twin” Tari Eason, Thompson finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line on Sunday. If there’s something to watch, especially as Eason’s minutes increase, it’s how his return will affect Thompson defensively. Combined, those two can wreak havoc defensively, which may boost the fantasy values of both if it leads to increased steals and blocks. Making his first appearance since November 14, Eason was under a minutes restriction on Sunday. However, the production in limited time on the floor was highly encouraging. Eason shot 75 percent from the field and made all three of his three-point attempts. For the season, he’s making nearly 51 percent of his 4.8 three-point attempts. That’s a far cry from Eason’s career percentage (36.4), so it’s fair to question if he can continue to shoot the ball that well. However, there’s no denying that Eason has improved in that area, and it raises his fantasy ceiling once his minutes increase.
