Mathurin extended his streak of games with at least 20 points to four on Friday, and he did so while shooting over 50 percent from the field. And he did most of his damage after halftime, scoring 19 of his 26 points. Since the All-Star break, Mathurin has averaged 21.1 points per game on 44.8 percent shooting from the field. His category league ceiling is somewhat limited because of the lack of production in three-pointers and defensive stats, but Mathurin has been a solid option since joining the Clippers.

One game removed from scoring 45 points on 20 shot attempts from the field, Leonard wasn’t as efficient on Friday. The Bulls, who the Lakers torched on Thursday, deserve some credit for that. But Leonard still managed to record a quality overall stat line, and he’s scored 25 points or more in six consecutive games. The Clippers host the Kings on Saturday, and that could potentially be another big game for Leonard.

Gobert’s five shot attempts on Friday equaled his total in Minnesota’s prior two games. The difference against the Warriors was that he was able to get to the foul line and convert at a good clip. Gobert shot 8-of-10 from the charity stripe, part of his highest-scoring night since scoring 18 in a March 5 win over the Raptors. There are times when Minnesota can be more intentional in getting Gobert involved offensively, but that did not appear to be an issue on Friday. Minnesota visits the Thunder on Sunday to end its Week 20.

For the fifth time this season and 47th time of his career, Edwards finished a game with at least 30 points, five rebounds and five assists. The Timberwolves’ star said after Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers that he needed to do more, and he backed up those words in San Francisco. Friday’s game was Edwards’ tenth this season with at least 40 points, and he’s scored 34 or more in three of his last four appearances.

Unfortunately for those who have Randle on their fantasy rosters, he had another underwhelming performance on Wednesday. A 5-of-5 night from the foul line pushed him into double figures, and the rebounds and assists were solid. However, most fantasy managers who drafted Randle did so with the expectation of bigger scoring numbers. The Timberwolves have two more games in Week 20; hopefully, Randle finishes on a high note.

After a terrible showing in Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers, Edwards bounced back in a major way on Wednesday. He recorded his 36 points efficiently, shooting well over 50 percent from the field. Garland and his new teammates are strengthening their chemistry by the game. He’s scored 21 points or more in three straight games, and the Clippers point guard did his damage on Wednesday in just 23 minutes. Mathurin continued his recent 20-point run with another solid showing against the Timberwolves, making it four of the last five games in which he’s exceeded that mark. The Clippers guard scored 10 of his 22 points from the foul line on Wednesday, and all that was missing from the final stat line was a blocked shot. Wednesday isn’t the first time an opponent looked helpless in its attempts to slow down Leonard, and it won’t be the last, either. Shooting 9-of-11 from two and 6-of-9 from three, The Klaw shot 75 percent from the field, and now has five games this season with at least 40 points. Like Julius Randle, Reid has seen his fantasy value decrease since the All-Star break. In eight games, he’s averaged 11.5 points while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from the foul line. Reid was solid against the Lakers, shooting just over 50 percent from the field, and he remains a valuable option in 12-team leagues. After going off for 41 points in the Timberwolves’ final game before the All-Star break, Randle has seemingly lost his mojo. With just one 20-point game to his credit since then, he’s averaged 14.4 points per game while shooting 40.2 percent from the field. And with Randle not bringing as much to the table in some of the other major statistical categories, his fantasy value has taken a significant hit. And with the Timberwolves falling to fifth in the West, they’d like to see Randle turn things around as well.

Mathurin has scored at least 21 points in three of his last four games. The 28 points in Monday’s win were the most for him since dropping a season-high 38 on the Nuggets in the Clippers’ first game out of the All-Star break. Mathurin has been close to a top-100 player in eight-cat formats since the break, providing excellent value off the bench on most nights. Jones left Monday’s game briefly during the third quarter, having taken a shot to the head from Josh Hart while attempting to convert a reverse layup. “Airplane Mode” was able to return, and his three-pointer with 1:41 remaining in the fourth quarter extended the Clippers’ lead to nine, effectively serving as the dagger. The veteran center only played 12 minutes, and Saturday’s game, being the Clippers’ second in as many nights, may have been a factor.
