Beal was in and out of the lineup with a knee injury and his overall effectiveness seemed to be in decline so far with the Clippers this season. The 32-year-old shooting guard missed Monday’s game against the Hawks with a hip injury and while there was concern he could miss more time, season-ending surgery is a bit of a surprise. Now that Beal’s out for the year, John Collins could see a boost in fantasy value by moving into starting lineup.

Gilgeous-Alexander needed only three quarters to drop 28 points, falling just shy of eclipsing the 30-point mark for the eighth consecutive contest. The reigning league MVP would’ve accomplished the feat had he not sat out the entire fourth quarter with the game in hand already. The defending NBA champions raced out to a commanding 63-44 halftime lead over the Warriors by shooting 53 percent from three-point range, knocking down eight of 15 from downtown. Oklahoma City returns to action on Wednesday night when they host the Lakers.

Holmgren was perfect on nine shots from the field, including a pair of three-pointers, and also knocked down three free throw attempts as the defending champions absolutely demolished the Warriors, improving to 5-0 at home this season. He was able to rest for the entire fourth quarter during the lopsided affair and should be a full-go for Wednesday night’s showdown against the Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back.

With Bradley Beal (hip) back on the sideline, Collins made his first start since joining the Clippers this offseason. While he was in the role many fantasy managers expected him to fulfill, the former Hawks forward struggled against the team that selected him in the 2017 draft. The bench role has limited Collins’ fantasy value, as he’s ranked outside the top-150 in nine-cat formats. He’s still rostered in 84 percent of Yahoo! leagues, with Beal’s injury putting some fantasy managers in a holding pattern. Collins’ production would not justify him being rostered in 12-team leagues if the Clippers were healthy.

Zubac recorded his fifth double-double in 10 games on Monday, continuing to provide solid fantasy value at the center position. Something to watch moving forward is Big Zu’s playing time, as he’s logged at least 30 minutes on five occasions. During the preseason, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said he wanted Zubac to play fewer minutes after he averaged 32 per game in 2024-25. However, offseason signing Brook Lopez (nine points, two assists, one block and two three-pointers) has not done enough to give the Clippers the two-headed monster they desired at the center position. If Zubac can consistently hit or exceed 30 minutes, his chances of making good on his Yahoo! ADP (41) increase.

While Harden’s three-point attempt with about 15 seconds remaining and the Clippers trailing by three drew some criticism, his play in the fourth was the only reason why the win was still for the taking. “The Beard” did more heavy lifting on a night when the Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard and Bradley Beal, recording his seventh triple-double in a Clipper uniform. Harden is now tied for the most triple-doubles in franchise history with Bob Kaufmann, Lamar Odom and Blake Griffin. It won’t be long until Harden occupies the top spot by himself.

Initially questionable for Monday’s game, Beal is out with a sore hip. He’ll be replaced in the starting lineup by John Collins, with Kris Dunn serving as the starting two-guard. Collins’ fantasy value has suffered this season, as Derrick Jones Jr. has remained a starter and played well. Collins is already rostered in most 12-team leagues, and the lineup change gives his fantasy value a welcome boost. There is some concern that Beal’s hip injury will keep him out for multiple games; he’s undergoing further testing to determine the severity.

After averaging a double-double for the first time in his NBA career last season, Hartenstein is on his way to doing it again in 2025-26. He’s recorded at least 13 rebounds in five games and is responsible for six double-doubles. The Thunder play three games during Week 4, starting with the Warriors on Tuesday.

Mitchell continues to shine for the Thunder, recording his fourth 20-point game of the season on Sunday. While fantasy managers are right to wonder what will happen once the reigning champions have their complete rotation, that’s a problem for another day. Holmgren has scored 20 points or more in just three games this season, including Sunday’s win in Memphis. The good news for fantasy managers is that his value isn’t derived solely from scoring. He recorded another solid stat line against the Grizzlies and is providing top-25 value in nine-cat formats. Despite getting off to a slow start, Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder were dominant in the second half. The reigning MVP shot 6-of-8 from the field in the second half, and there were also frequent trips to the foul line. The result was his tenth game this season with at least 30 points.
