Porziņģis did not play in Friday’s win over the Nuggets, which led to more rotation minutes for Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell. Neither will be worth the streaming risk if Porziņģis remains out since starter Onyeka Okongwu is healthy.

Risacher will miss a second consecutive game with left knee inflammation. Vit Krejčí started Friday’s win over the Nuggets, recording two steals and two blocked shots. Unfortunately, he had a brutal night shooting the basketball, going scoreless on 0-of-8 shooting (0-of-7 3-pointers).

If Kispert can crack the rotation in Atlanta, he’s another capable shooter who can knock down a few three-pointers off the bench. However, his role is unlikely to differ from the one he had in Washington, so fantasy managers can afford to leave Kispert on the waiver wire.

While McCollum is likely to come off the bench in Atlanta, he can provide reliable scoring in that role as the team looks to compensate for Trae Young’s exit. Also, with Zaccharie Risacher unavailable, there may be a few more minutes at McCollum’s disposal.

For just the third time in his career, and the first since October 29, 2022, Dončić fouled out of an NBA game on Friday. His foul of Milwaukee’s Kevin Porter Jr. on a three-point attempt with 16.2 seconds remaining led to two made free throws that gave the Bucks the lead for good. This was a frustrating night for Dončić, who shot 4-of-19 from inside the arc and 4-of-8 at the foul line. The rebounds, assists, steals and three-pointers were useful, but Dončić managers took a hit in the percentages.

With Rui Hachimura (calf) once again unavailable, LaRavia was in the Lakers’ starting lineup for the sixth consecutive game. While the final stat line on Friday was modest, the forward was a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Since moving into the starting five, LaRavia has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats. As long as Hachimura is unavailable, LaRavia is worth the streaming risk.

James, who finished one rebound shy of a triple-double, had a chance to tie Friday’s game in the final seconds. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to poke the ball away from behind, resulting in James’ third turnover of the night. That was the only issue for the Lakers’ forward, who shouldered more of the offensive workload with Luka Dončić in foul trouble. Over the past two weeks, LeBron has been a top-15 player in eight-cat formats.

Johnson’s meteoric rise continues as he steps into an expanded role for the Hawks from a facilitating and scoring standpoint with Trae Young no longer in the picture following his trade to Washington earlier this week. The 24-year-old snapped out of a brief cold spell in this one, finishing just shy of his eighth 30-point outing of the season while drilling a season-high five three-pointers and shooting a blistering 67 percent from the floor. He’ll be the straw that stirs the drink for Atlanta until further notice.

Alexander-Walker has been a home run signing for the Hawks, delivering the strongest season of his career, averaging a robust 20.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks through 38 games. He’s averaging just over three three-pointers per-game after sitting at just 1.7 last year. The 27-year-old guard figures to play a larger role in Atlanta’s offense with Trae Young no longer in the picture.

stepped into an expanded role for the Hawks in their first game since shipping Trae Young to Washington earlier this week, launching 14 shot attempts — his highest single-game total since December 19. The 22-year-old defensive specialist has quietly filled the stat sheet of late, averaging 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.8 blocks over his last four contests.

Porzingis popped up on the injury report Friday afternoon and was subsequently ruled out with an Achilles injury. The 30-year-old power forward hasn’t exactly been the pinnacle of health in recent years so there’s reason for legitimate concern surrounding the injury. With Porzingis out Friday, Mouhamed Gueye will fill in as the backup center. There’s no timetable for Porzingis’ return at this point.

Absent from the initial injury report released by the Hawks, Risacher is now questionable due to left knee inflammation. He last missed a game on November 18, with Vit Krejčí filling the void. Uh oh. Randomly popping up with an Achilles injury is not a good sign, especially for a player with the injury history that Porziņģis has. Mouhamed Gueye should fill out the backup center minutes if Porziņģis is out. This is a situation worth keeping tabs on since it could end up being more severe.

After Ayton put up 16 shots in Tuesday’s win over the Pelicans, fantasy managers likely hoped for a similar output on Wednesday, especially with LeBron James (toe) out. Unfortunately, he only attempted nine shots, with Jake LaRavia (13) and Luka Dončić (26) being the only Lakers to hit double digits in attempts. With James possibly returning to the lineup on Friday, fantasy managers have to hope that his presence will result in a few more opportunities for Ayton.

Due to Rui Hachimura’s calf injury, LaRavia has started the Lakers’ last five games. And he’s been productive, reaching double figures in three of the five starts. Rostered in 26 percent of Yahoo! leagues, LaRavia has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats since December 30. The only issue facing managers considering adding LaRavia is the schedule. Friday’s game against the Bucks is the Lakers’ last of Week 12.

With no LeBron James (toe), Dončić was left to shoulder most of the offensive workload for the Lakers on Wednesday. In the first half, he either scored or assisted on 39 of the team’s 43 points. Dončić finished with his fourth triple-double of the season and first since December 18. The negatives: the triple-double wasn’t recorded in a victory, and Luka committed seven turnovers. The Lakers play their final game of Week 12 on Friday against the Bucks.

It has been a disappointing second season for Risacher, but after figuring out some offense against Toronto on Monday, he was able to set a new season high for scoring in Wednesday’s win. It’s no coincidence that he also played a season-high 34 minutes. Hawks coach Quin Snyder hasn’t played the 2024 No. 1 overall pick as much as his other starters, but if he continues to play this well, he should continue to get the chance, which will lead to more production. At this point, he is only worth rostering in dynasty leagues.

With Onyeka Okongwu sidelined with an illness, Gueye got the starting nod at center. Playing against his former team, Daniels was able to put together a stellar, well-rounded line in the win. He’s had some excellent performances recently, and he continues to be at his best when Trae Young isn’t in the lineup. Of course, that won’t be an issue moving forward with Young now in Washington. Daniels should continue to be a strong producer for fantasy managers, even if the steals aren’t where they were last season.

McCollum is on an expiring contract, and while the Hawks may have interest in keeping him around past this season, his main function in this deal was to help the salaries match up. McCollum’s time with the Wizards lasted 35 games, and he was able to show he’s still a talented scorer. He’ll be a reliable veteran for Atlanta, likely as a reserve. He won’t be as impactful for fantasy managers as he was as a Wizard, but he should be able to help offset some of the offense that the Hawks lose by moving on from Trae.

Surprisingly, no draft capital was included in the deal that ends Young’s time in Atlanta. Kispert is one of the two players headed in the opposite direction, and his addition gives the Hawks another perimeter shooter to place around Jalen Johnson if he can crack the rotation. For his career, he’s averaging 2.0 three-pointers per game on 38.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc. At best, Kispert will be a specialist who may offer deep-league value. However, this is not a deal that moves the needle for him, fantasy-wise.

After Friday’s dud against the Grizzlies, Ayton has bounced back with two solid performances. On Tuesday, he recorded his second double-double in five games and 13th of the season. Generally speaking, when Ayton is involved in the offense early, he can be relied on for solid effort/production throughout. Fantasy managers who have him rostered will certainly root for the Lakers to feed Ayton early before Luka Dončić and LeBron James take over.

Dončić has scored at least 30 points in five straight games, recording two double-doubles during this run. If there’s been an issue for the Lakers’ star, it has been turnovers, which should not surprise any fantasy managers. Dončić recorded five on Tuesday, a number that he’s met in five of his last six appearances. While the turnovers aren’t an issue for eight-cat managers or those willing to punt the category, this is something that nine-cat managers have to anticipate when drafting Dončić.

James has scored at least 30 points in two of his last three games, and Tuesday’s overall stat line was a reminder of what he’s still capable of doing. The 41-year-old finished two rebounds and two assists shy of a triple-double while shooting over 50 percent from the field and not missing a free throw. Over the past two weeks, James has been a top-20 player in eight-cat formats. With Austin Reaves (calf) out for a few more weeks, LeBron boasts a higher fantasy ceiling.
