Dunn has not offered much value as a scorer, and that is unsurprising. However, he was productive against the Timberwolves, scoring in double figures for the first time in four games while also recording seven assists. Since the trade deadline, Dunn has provided 10th-round per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. While that isn’t terrible value, it hasn’t been enough to move the needle among most fantasy managers.

With no Kawhi Leonard or John Collins, Mathurin moved into the starting lineup for the first time since being traded to the Clippers. And given those absences, it appeared that he would be the offensive focal point. Unfortunately for Mathurin and those who were hoping he would have a big night, the Clippers wing ran into Jaden McDaniels. Mathurin struggled to get to his spots for most of the night, resulting in an inefficient night at the office.

Since returning to the Clippers’ starting lineup, Jones has reached double figures in five of his last eight games. Thursday’s performance was among the best, with “Airplane Mode” leading the way on a night when the Clippers didn’t have Kawhi Leonard or John Collins. After scoring 29 points in his first game back in the Lakers’ starting lineup, Reaves’ production has slipped. He’s scored 18 or less in three straight, shooting 15-of-38 from the field. The good news for fantasy managers is that Reaves’ calf has not given him any trouble since his return, but it would be nice to get more production from him moving forward. Especially with Deandre Ayton (two points, four rebounds and one steal) being the non-factor that he was on Thursday.

Outside of his performance in Tuesday’s loss to the Magic, James’ production has slipped since the All-Star break. In four games, he’s averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers. According to Basketball Monster, it has been good for seventh-round value in eight-cat formats. Dončić had one of his best games of the season on Thursday, recording his ninth 40-point game in Phoenix. However, it wasn’t enough to get the Lakers back into the win column, with the team dropping a third straight game. A top-15 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, according to Basketball Monster, Dončić remains one of the best players to roster in fantasy basketball. The question now is whether he’ll be able to do enough to make the Lakers a credible threat in the West come playoff time.

The Clippers won’t have Kawhi Leonard or John Collins for Thursday’s game. Mathurin and Batum move into the starting lineup, with the former’s addition being far more impactful. While Reaves had a productive second half, shooting 6-of-9 from the field, his subpar first half sunk the Lakers’ guard’s field-goal percentage. However, Reaves has been a top-50 player since the trade deadline, so there isn’t too much for fantasy managers to be worried about. If there is a question to be asked, it’s what Reaves’ availability will look like for the end of Week 18. While Dončić did not have a good night shooting the ball, as he was 2-of-10 from three and 4-of-9 from the foul line, he finished with 15 assists and just two turnovers. Ayton was excellent during the first half, putting up 17 points and nine rebounds as the Lakers made a concerted effort to involve the 7-footer offensively. That didn’t happen as often during the second half, and while Ayton finished with a solid stat line, it could have been better. The Clippers don’t play again until Thursday, so there is nothing to gain from adding Konan-Niederhäuser following his effort against the Magic. That said, the rookie 7-footer showed off the athleticism and defensive chops that prompted the Clippers to select him in the first round of last June’s draft. Konan-Niederhäuser’s four blocks were a season-high, and the eight boards were two shy of his previous high. Interestingly, he logged 26 minutes while starting center Brook Lopez (10/4/1/1 with one three-pointer) played 22. That won’t affect fantasy basketball immediately due to the Clippers’ poor Week 18 schedule, but it is something to watch during Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Despite playing on a left ankle that caused him to exit Friday’s loss to the Lakers in crunch time, Leonard had another outstanding performance in a losing effort. Leading all scorers with 37 points, the Clippers’ star posted a robust stat line, including five “stocks.” A top-20 fantasy player over the past month, Leonard’s season-long value places him within the top-5 in eight- and nine-cat formats. Dončić led the way offensively for the Lakers, but give the Celtics credit for making him earn every bit of what he got. Despite previously being listed as questionable, James suited up for the Lakers on Friday and provided exceptional playmaking. Leonard had a mediocre game by his standards but still extended his streak of 20-point games to a career-best 34.
