The Knicks could stop Reaves or Luka Doncic in this one, allowing the pair to combine for 60 points. On a play in the third quarter that resulted in an assist for Reaves, Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson fell to the floor while defending Reaves. He’s provided sixth-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Lakers have three games coming up in Week 20, starting with a matchup against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

It’s an open secret that Dončić’s favorite spot on the court to shoot from is the left wing, but he took it to the extreme against the Knicks on Sunday. Early in the third quarter, Dončić made a three-pointer on the left wing off one leg while he was falling out of bounds. He was just 5-of-16 from behind the three-point line on the day, but that one shot was symbolic of dominance over the Knicks on Sunday. Dončić has provided third overall per game value over the last two weeks. The Lakers have three games upcoming in Week 20, starting with a matchup against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

The combination of the Lakers winning by a comfortable margin and foul trouble limited Reaves to 29 minutes on Friday. In fact, he fouled out for the second time in his career and the first since January 13, 2024. Reaves did provide decent value in points and assists, and fantasy managers were likely hoping for more on a night when the Lakers were without LeBron James (elbow, foot).

With Deandre Ayton (knee) sidelined, Hayes was moved into the starting lineup for Friday’s game. Fantasy managers hoping for a standout performance from the 7-foot backup were left somewhat disappointed, as Hayes did not offer much beyond the points and rebounds. With no LeBron James and Austin Reaves in foul trouble, Dončić shouldered even more of the workload on Friday. He came out hot, scoring 22 points in the first quarter. Dončić put up another 15 in the third and did not have to play at all in the fourth quarter. Given how much the Lakers rely on their star point guard, any opportunities to get additional rest are welcome. Deandre Ayton played just five minutes in the first half of this game before exiting with a knee injury, though the Lakers declined to specify which knee was bothering him. Ayton missed two games just before the All-Star break due to right knee soreness, but it’s unclear at this time if that injury popped back or if this is entirely separate. Hayes started the second half in his place and was able to chip in some points, though he didn’t contribute much else. He set a new season high for scoring, and he could have some streaming appeal this weekend if Ayton misses time.

LeBron made more history in this game by surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most career field goals made. Unfortunately, he didn’t do much scoring in the loss. It was a well-rounded, efficient night for LeBron, but the focus should be on him reaching Kareem’s 15,837 made shots. This was his fourth straight game shooting at least 50 percent from the floor, and he’ll look to stay hot against the Pacers on Friday.

DeRozan’s output was limited on Thursday, and that’s been the case since the All-Star break. In eight games, the veteran wing has averaged 14.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 0.8 steals while shooting 43 percent from the field. DeRozan played 27 minutes against the Pelicans, and his playing time is something to watch moving forward. Fellow starter Nique Clifford (7/5/3 with one three-pointer) only played 21 minutes against New Orleans, and for the Kings’ future, it would probably be best if Clifford were asked to log heavy minutes the rest of the way.

After totaling 12 points in his first two games out of the All-Star break, Westbrook has reached double figures in each of his last five appearances. His stat line on Thursday included ten assists, the veteran point guard’s first double-double since a January 14 win over the Knicks. Westbrook played 33 minutes against the Pelicans while second-year guard Devin Carter picked up a DNP-CD. As long as he’s playing starters’ minutes, Westbrook should be rostered in standard leagues.

Achiuwa, who’s made the most of his opportunity in Sacramento, had another excellent night on Thursday. In addition to matching his career-high with the 29 points, he recorded a complete stat line and played 41 of a possible 48 minutes. Though Dončić continues to fill up the counting stats, he’s having an issue that doesn’t show up in the box score in a way that directly alters fantasy matchups. He was whistled for his 15th technical foul of the season after being whistled for his 14th on Tuesday. Now, he sits just one technical away from serving a one-game suspension. The Lakers have two more games this week and have a three-game week after that, which would make the timing difficult for managers that are relying on him in the fantasy playoffs. Hopefully being that close to a suspension will help him stay calmer during games since both the Lakers and fantasy managers need him out on the floor as much as possible.

Clifford struggled from beyond the arc on Tuesday, missing all five of his attempts. The good news is that the rookie guard shot over 50 percent from two-point range, and he also provided solid production in rebounds, assists, and steals. Clifford played 39 minutes, an encouraging number, even if it may not be sustainable for the rest of the season. After logging 22 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers in his return from a thigh injury, Westbrook played 31 minutes against the Suns. The veteran point guard shot 3-of-6 from beyond the arc on Tuesday, and fantasy managers in category leagues can also use the assists and steals. However, it’s fair to question whether Westbrook will be asked to play 30-plus minutes consistently between now and the end of the season, especially with Devin Carter needing more playing time for evaluation. Carter only played nine minutes on Tuesday, finishing with two points, two rebounds and one steal. Raynaud finished Tuesday’s defeat with his 13th double-double of the season, which leads all rookies. The 7-foot-1 center may not offer much value as a shot-blocker, but fantasy managers know what they’re going to get from him as a scorer and rebounder on most nights. Smart has been solid all season, but this may have been one of his best performances. He made big contributions on both ends to help the Lakers finish the game on a 24-8 run. He now has nine steals over his last two games, and he set a new season high for blocks in this game. Of course, he also has nine triples over his last four games, making him an excellent fit as a three-and-D guard in this starting unit. He was able to get some offense going in the second half, but it was still a rough outing for him. He missed all six of his shots in the first half and entered the break with just two points. Raynaud recorded his fourth double-double since the All-Star break and 12th of the season, but this was not the best night overall for the rookie. The points, rebounds and field-goal percentage categories were good, but he was also responsible for six turnovers. Add in the lack of defensive stats, and Sunday wasn’t the best night to rely on Raynaud in nine-cat formats. In his first eight games as a Laker, Kennard averaged 0.9 three-pointers while making seven of his 17 attempts. Given how much was made about his comments last week when asked about his role, Ayton appears to be skating on thin ice with Lakers fans and fantasy managers.
