Fox was traded to the Spurs prior to the trade deadline after he and the Kings failed to agree on a contract extension. On Friday, the 27-year-old point guard struggled in a matchup against his former teammates. Fox had 16 points on 17 shots as he shot 35 percent from the floor. It was an off-night, but Fox has been solid overall since the All-Star break as he ranks just outside the top-50 in fantasy value in that time.

Morant played 35 minutes in the 11-point victory Friday, which is notable because he mentioned that he’s been dealing with a shoulder injury all season after Wednesday’s game. The 25-year-old point guard also played 32 minutes in that game. Morant doesn’t seem to be phased by the shoulder issue and he wasn’t listed on the injury report Friday. Morant returned to the Grizzlies lineup on Wednesday after a two-game absence due to what was described as a right deltoid contusion, and he did not shoot the ball well. Going 8-of-22 from the field overall, Morant missed his first five three-point attempts and finished 2-of-9. Following the game, he said he’s “played like this all season” regarding the shoulder injury. That’s concerning for the Grizzlies and fantasy managers, especially with the Grizzlies scheduled to play two back-to-backs over an eight-day stretch that begins on March 9. Scotty Pippen Jr. played 21 minutes off the bench Wednesday night, and while his fantasy ceiling is low with Morant on the court, he may be in position for more minutes with the Grizzlies star clearly at less than full strength.

With Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) and Santi Aldama (calf) unavailable, Williams was tabbed to make his first start of the season on Wednesday. He didn’t have the best night, but the Grizzlies wing scored in double figures for the third time this season. Williams’ streaming staying power depends on the health of Jackson and Aldama, with the former considered week-to-week and the latter day-to-day. With Ja Morant returning from a shoulder injury, Bane did not have the ball in his hands as often Wednesday night. His value took a hit, as he only recorded one assist while shooting 5-of-14 from the field. Bane has been a top 40 player in eight- and nine-cat formats since the All-Star break, so one subpar night will not crater his value. Morant’s right shoulder had been an issue well before he missed games against the Spurs and Hawks, and it appeared to impact his shot on Wednesday. Fox didn’t necessarily have a terrible Sunday night, but fantasy managers likely hoped for a more robust stat line. While Vassell’s shooting has not improved much, as he’s made just 37.7 percent of his attempts over the past week, he’s scored 20 points in two of his last three outings. Castle finished Wednesday’s defeat tied for the team-high in points with Keldon Johnson, but the rookie struggled from deep. He shot 1-of-7 from three and is 2-of-16 since the All-Star break. It’s fair to wonder if the busy weekend in San Francisco has been a factor, as Castle was active on all three days (Rising Stars Challenge, Dunk Contest and Sunday’s All-Star tournament). The good news for fantasy managers is that the points, rebounds, assists and steals were solid on Wednesday; only the field-goal percentage was problematic.
