Tatum has now had exactly 23 points in three consecutive games. The 28-year-old small forward took a backseat as Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with 35 points. Tatum continues to look ready for the playoffs as he’s provided first-round per game value over the last two weeks.

Brown led the Celtics with 35 points in the win over the Hornets on Tuesday. The 29-year-old small forward played much of the season without Jayson Tatum due to an Achilles injury, which went as expected with Brown’s volume increasing as well as his turnovers. He had another five turnovers on Tuesday. It’s the turnovers that have led to him providing sixth-round per game value this year and not paying off his ADP. Brown will be in position to bounce back next year with he and Tatum presumably healthy entering the season.

Herro shot the ball well and provided solid value in rebounds and assists, but the impact was muted in Miami’s 121-95 defeat. With Bam Adebayo (7/9/3/1 with one three-pointer) shooting 2-of-13 from the field, the Heat could have done with more Herro on the offensive end of the floor. Now trailing Toronto by three games and Philadelphia and Orlando by two in the loss column, the Heat have little margin for error if they’re to avoid the Play-In Tournament.

The veteran guard logged 24 minutes in his first game back from an upper respiratory illness that sidelined him for four games, with Pelle Larsson (7/3/1 with one three-pointer) remaining in the starting lineup. Available for the first time since March 6, Vučević appeared a bit rusty on Sunday. Obviously, plus/minus does not tell the complete story for any player, but the veteran center was a minus-14 in 13 minutes of play. Luka Garza, who filled in admirably as the backup center in Vučević’s absence, was a DNP-CD on Sunday. Brown has scored at least 26 points in each of his last nine games. And the production has remained excellent since Jayson Tatum’s return. Over the last month, Brown has averaged 28.3 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field. While the Pistons will go into the playoffs as the top seed in the East, there won’t be a shortage of pundits who label the Celtics the favorites to win the conference. Brown, who has played at an elite level all season, is one of the reasons why.

One would not blame the Wizards if they wondered where this version of Adebayo was when he torched them for 83 points on March 10.
