James has streaming appeal here, and Collin Sexton and Kon Knueppel should see bumps in production as a result of Ball’s continued absence.

After an inefficient 15-point effort against the Lakers on Sunday, Wiggins rebounded with a solid offensive showing against the Clippers. He shot over 50 percent from the field and recorded a complete stat line in the 120-119 victory. However, the production was limited outside of points and three-pointers. The good news for fantasy managers is that Wiggins’ output has been respectable outside of free-throw percentage, as he’s making just 57.9 percent of his attempts. Remove that category from the equation, and Wggins is a top-100 player.

Adebayo recorded his fourth double-double of the season on Monday, helping Miami hold on for a one-point win. And after shooting 36.2 percent from the field in his first three games, the Heat center has been a more efficient scorer. Adebayo has scored 25 points or more in three of his last four and has provided top-15 value in nine-cat formats during this stretch. Getting Tyler Herro back will help with the offensive spacing when that time comes, but Adebayo should be fine regardless of who else is available for the Heat.

Not only was Monday’s game against the Clippers the first for Powell in Inglewood since being traded to Miami during the offseason, but it was his first action after missing three games with a groin injury. The Heat guard looked sharp and showed no ill effects in 28 minutes of action. Powell was nearly on the wrong end of a late comeback, but Kawhi Leonard’s jumper just before time expired fell short. Miami has three more games this week, including a Friday/Saturday home back-to-back. We’ll see if Powell is available for all three.

Norman Powell is back in the Heat lineup after missing three games with a groin injury. However, his return means Kel’el Ware will head to the bench, while Pelle Larsson remains with the starters. Ball did not play in Sunday’s win over the Jazz. Rookie Sion James moved into the starting lineup, and Collin Sexton shifted into the point guard position. Both were productive enough to merit being slotted into lineups with Ball unavailable, and that can also be said for Kon Knueppel. Sexton and Knueppel will have fantasy staying power if Ball plays on Tuesday, but James will not.

Upon the Hornets’ return from their road trip, the initial diagnosis of a left shoulder subluxation was confirmed, and he will miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. It was a nice homecoming on Sunday night for the former UCLA Bruin, who scored a season high in points against the Lakers. The 30-point effort came just two games after logging a previous high of 28 points against the Hornets. Similar to the game against Charlotte, Jaquez Jr. shot the ball efficiently from the floor and made his way to the free-throw line frequently to conclude as the Heat’s leading scorer on the evening. Additionally, the third-year forward made his usual impact as a rebounder and facilitator in his 34 minutes of game action. He finished with a strong performance overall and has a chance to do so again against the Clippers on Monday night.

Adebayo didn’t quite recapture the magic of his recent 31-point outing against the Spurs, but he was still productive on the offensive end on Sunday. Low volume kept Adebayo to 11 shot attempts, but his efficiency allowed him to finish in double figures and as one of the Heat’s top scorers. Yet, his production on the defensive end was arguably more noteworthy — here, he collected four stocks and was one of two Miami players to tally at least one block and one steal. He’ll have a chance on Monday to log an even better performance against the Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back.

Wiggins’ two-game streak of scoring at least 20 points came to an end against the Lakers, as the former first-overall pick struggled with his shooting on Sunday, especially from beyond the arc. In addition to his struggles from the field, he was unable to get others involved, as seen by his low assist total. The end result was an unspectacular fantasy performance that likely underwhelmed, considering the scoring and overall offensive opportunities that presented themselves with Norman Powell (groin) and Tyler Herro (foot) out of the lineup.

In his first game against his former team, Sexton had a productive Sunday evening. The veteran guard didn’t shoot the ball all that well, but still cracked double figures in scoring while also registering double-digit assists along the way. His six turnovers ultimately brought his fantasy production down a bit, but his first double-double of the season was a timely one as the Hornets were able to stop a three-game losing streak.

Knueppel bounced back from consecutive five-point performances to log a career-high in points and record his second game of at least 20 points this season. As was the case in his previous season-high, three-point shooting was a major factor — the rookie guard was electric from beyond the arc and led his team in that specific category. Knueppel also made an impact as a facilitator, giving him his most balanced offensive performance yet. He’ll have a chance to build off of Sunday’s momentum on Tuesday against the Pelicans.

On the second night of a back-to-back, Bridges nearly equalled the 30 points he recorded against the Timberwolves on Saturday. His shooting was much less efficient on Sunday, but he still made his way to the charity stripe frequently to help land his scoring production. Bridges also made contributions as a facilitator and added multiple makes from beyond the arc. Overall, his performance against the Jazz was enough to stop the Hornets’ three-game losing streak and put them in the win column for only the third time this season.

Bridges was one of the few bright spots for Charlotte in an eventual one-sided contest as he knocked down eight of his first 11 shots, including five three-pointers to close the first half with a game-high 21 points. He was relatively quiet in the second half as Minnesota pulled away by outscoring Charlotte 36-18 in the third quarter. Through the season’s first four games, Wiggins could not fully take advantage of Tyler Herro’s absence from the Heat lineup. While he was shooting 50 percent from the field, that was on a career-low 11 attempts per game. On Thursday, Wiggins took a season-high 18 shots and made over half his attempts. Of course, Miami has also been without Norman Powell for the last two games, and Wiggins has totaled 33 shot attempts. Adebayo’s 13 three-point attempts were a career-high, but he’s attempted at least five in all five of Miami’s games thus far. A late-round pick for many fantasy managers, Kalkbrenner has exceeded expectations thus far by clearly understanding where he’s most valuable. The rookie center shot 8-of-9 from the field on Thursday and is now 27-of-30 for the season. Add in the rebounds and defensive stats, and it isn’t hard to figure out why Kalkbrenner has been close to a top-50 player. This was a disappointing performance from Bridges outside of the rebounds and three-pointers. He did not record any assists, steals or blocked shots, much to the chagrin of fantasy managers who have him rostered. Offense has not been an issue for Knueppel thus far, with the rookie averaging 16.0 points per game. However, he isn’t a defender who’s going to provide consistent numbers on that end of the floor (two steals and no blocks in four games), and he’s shooting just 50 percent from the foul line. Kalkbrenner has gotten off to a solid start in his rookie season, especially for those who drafted him for defensive reasons. The rookie has accrued four steals and four blocked shots while shooting a staggering 90.5 percent from the field through four games. Sexton has scored at least 18 points in three straight games, fitting in nicely alongside LaMelo Ball, even if the Hornets’ defense has suffered. He shot the ball well against the Heat, but Sexton committed four turnovers and did not provide any defensive statistics. Even before Brandon Miller’s shoulder injury, he was a starter, but the third-year wing’s absence frees up additional scoring opportunities for Sexton. While all five Hornets starters scored in double figures, the team’s porous defense was too much to overcome. In the case of Ball, his efficiency was lacking in Miami. In addition to the poor shooting, he was responsible for five of Charlotte’s 17 turnovers. However, despite averaging four turnovers per game, LaMelo is providing top-20 value in nine-cat formats, and top-10 in eight-cat. Adebayo finished Tuesday’s victory with a season-high point total, and he’s scored 19 points or more in three straight games. While there were no defensive stats in his most recent stat line, Charlotte’s porous defense allowed Bam to compensate for that on the offensive end.
