Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last two games, leading to Anthony Davis serving as the starting center in Monday’s win over the Nuggets. Dwight Powell served as Davis’ backup in Denver, and that would likely remain the case if Gafford can’t play against Miami. Powell is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Washington has missed Dallas’ last two games with a sprained right ankle, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Naji Marshall. Marshall has offered solid late-round value this season, due in part to the many injuries that have affected the Mavericks’ rotation. He’s worth holding onto for the time being, even if Washington plays.

The 2025 first-overall selection picked up where he left off following his career-best scoring performance against the Clippers. While he didn’t reach the 30-point mark, Flagg picked his spots and made more than half of his attempts en route to securing his seventh 20-point game of the season. The rookie forward seems to be progressing nicely a quarter of the way through the season. Fantasy managers should expect Flagg to continue playing well as he gets more game experience under his belt.

In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career. Nembhard is averaging 17.7 points over his three starts and will likely remain in the opening unit for a Mavericks team that has needed quality point guard play.

Davis reached the 30-point mark for the first time all season on Monday, needing 32 minutes of game action to do so. The scoring outburst against the Nuggets was a drastic improvement from Friday’s 12-point outing against the Lakers, which marked his first game back from a calf injury. Prior to the injury, AD had logged 20-point double-doubles in each of the first four games of the season. He was his usual productive self on the glass, as well, which led to his fifth double-double of the season. As his minutes start to pick back up, there’s no reason to believe Davis won’t continue to put up big numbers.

Adebayo did a little bit of everything in this game. He matched his season high for rebounds and set a new career high for three-pointers in the blowout win over the Clippers. This was his highest scoring output since October, but he has been a consistent source of offense for Miami. Adebayo has been a big reason for Miami’s success this season, and he’ll look to keep that going in Dallas on Wednesday.

Things couldn’t have gone much better for Mitchell. He had a pair of turnovers, but he didn’t miss a shot, and he recorded his third double-double of the season. This was also his fifth game with at least 10 assists, including his second straight. Having Tyler Herro back hasn’t taken away from Mitchell. The Heat play faster than anyone in the league, which allows everyone to thrive. Mitchell has been inconsistent, but he remains a player worth rostering in deeper leagues.

Larsson suffered a sprained right foot during the first half of Monday’s game. While the Heat have the depth needed to account for his absence if the second-year wing misses time, this is an injury that could keep Larsson out for multiple games. Initially questionable for Monday night, Washington will miss a second straight game after spraining his right ankle just before Saturday’s win over the Clippers. Ryan Nembhard (8/1/3 with two three-pointers) once again served as the starting point guard, but Williams played more minutes. He logged 26 to Nembhard’s 21, with the seven assists being the most in a game for Williams since November 12 against the Pelicans. Marshall was supposed to begin Saturday’s game on the bench. But an ankle injury to P.J. Washington during pregame warmups forced Marshall to start, and he was productive in his 37 minutes. Due to injuries, he has been a more valuable player to fantasy managers than anyone anticipated before the season began. However, Marshall’s value hinges on the availability of Mavericks higher in the offensive pecking order. Dallas opens a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday, so keep Marshall in mind if Washington can’t play.

Cooper Flagg wasn’t the only Maverick to record a season-high point total on Saturday. Thompson went off in the second half, shooting 6-of-8 from beyond the arc, and finished with a season-high 23 points. He’s mainly a points and three-pointers option for fantasy managers, and Thompson has started to come good on those expectations after a slow start. Of course, his role proved more prominent than expected, thanks to injuries to Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Thompson will look to build on this performance when the Mavs open a four-game Week 7 in Denver on Monday.

Flagg was rolling on Saturday, scoring 21 points in the first half. The Clippers couldn’t come up with an answer for the rookie, who finished with his first 30-point game. Flagg was efficient offensively, shooting 13-of-19 from inside the arc, becoming the youngest player in league history to score at least 35 points in a game. A sixth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, his season-long value has cracked the top-100. It will be fun to watch Flagg’s progression, as he has already made strides over the season’s first month. The Mavericks play four games in Week 7, starting with the Nuggets on Monday.

Adebayo has recorded double-doubles in two straight and three of his last four games. With Tyler Herro now in the mix, increased rebounding may be what keeps Bam’s fantasy value where managers hoped it would be before the season began. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top-75 player in nine-cat formats. That doesn’t align with his Yahoo! ADP (32), and it could be difficult for Adebayo to reach those heights. He’ll look to prove otherwise, starting with Monday’s game against the Clippers.

Herro shot the ball well from beyond the arc, making six of his 11 attempts. However, what could have been an even bigger night was short-circuited by a 0-of-6 effort from inside the arc. Like Andrew Wiggins, Powell bounced back on Saturday after a subpar performance in Wednesday’s win over the Bucks. However, to be fair to Norman, that was his first game back from a strained groin that kept him out of the previous contest. So far, the inclusion of Tyler Herro has not been an issue for Powell, which is good news for fantasy managers.

After shooting 4-of-11 from the field in his first game back from a hip injury, Wiggins looked much sharper on Saturday. Shooting nearly 67 percent from the field, he recorded his first 30-point game of the season, and there was also value to be had in the rebound, assist and steals categories. With Tyler Herro and Norman Powell in the fold, Wiggins’ rest-of-season fantasy value may take a hit. Nembhard’s first NBA start didn’t result in a victory, but the Mavericks had to be encouraged by what they saw. The rookie seemed to have a good rapport with Anthony Davis and was efficient in his 23 minutes on the floor. With Nembhard starting, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd called on Brandon Williams (11/2/3/1 with one three-pointer) to take on the backup point guard duties. Flagg didn’t do much scoring on Friday, but he did finish three rebounds shy of his first career triple-double. The rookie did notch his third double-double, and the three steals will help some fantasy managers as well. Powell’s return from a one-game absence was an unspectacular one. He logged 29 minutes and recorded his lowest scoring total of the season, failed to make a three-pointer, and shot only 36.4 percent from the field. Wednesday also marked Powell’s first game alongside Tyler Herro, who recently made his season debut while Powell was out with a groin injury. Adebayo scored at least 17 points for the fifth straight game on Wednesday.
