Smith is one of four Heat players questionable for Wednesday’s game due to hip injuries. If he’s unable to play, the Heat will need to fill the backup point guard role, but multiple players already in the rotation may absorb the available minutes. There’s no need to add anyone to account for Smith’s potential absence.

Jaquez played 33 minutes off the bench in Monday’s win over the Mavericks, and his playing time may decrease on Wednesday if he plays. Norman Powell (groin) is probable, and with Tyler Herro also in the fold, Jaquez stands to have a lower fantasy ceiling. If he can’t play, more minutes will be available to Simone Fontecchio.

Jović has missed Miami’s last four games with a hip injury, freeing up additional minutes for Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio. However, with Tyler Herro available and Norman Powell (groin) considered probable, all three Heat reserves may lose out on playing time in Wednesday’s NBA Cup matchup. Of the three, Jaquez is the safest option in terms of fantasy value.

Powell missed Monday’s game with a groin injury, but his probable listing for Wednesday’s game against the Bucks indicates it shouldn’t be a lengthy absence for him. Adebayo finished Monday’s game as one of four Heat players to score in double figures — despite not shooting well from beyond the arc, he utilized the free-throw line to find his scoring production. The veteran forward’s shooting has been inconsistent since returning from injury on November 19th, but he has consistently hovered around 20 points on a nightly basis. His rebounding has also been uneven as Kel’el Ware has dominated the glass recently. Adebayo should start to round back into for the further removed he is from the toe injury

Herro impressed in his season debut on Monday. He shot the ball efficiently and led the Heat in scoring on the night. Yet, he didn’t make a three-pointer, failed to register an assist, and didn’t get to the free-throw line. In other words, Herro still left a lot of meat on the bone. But it’s encouraging that he was able to have such a strong production regardless. As he continues to reintegrate himself, the production should only increase.

Ware’s fantastic stretch of basketball continued on Monday. Against the Mavericks, he notched his third straight game of at least 20 points and 14 rebounds — his three three-pointers and trio of triples gave him even more of a productive fantasy basketball night. After a bit of a slower start to the season, Ware has really taken off and proven again that he can produce alongside Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. Regardless, his ceiling remains high as a nightly double-double threat in just his second year in the league.

After shooting 1-of-5 from the field in the first half, Bridges shot 4-of-6 and scored 12 points in the third quarter. He finished with another complete stat line and continues to exceed expectations, providing first-round value in nine-cat formats. With Landry Shamet (shoulder) joining OG Anunoby (hamstring) on the sideline, Hart made his first start of the season on Monday. And he did “Josh Hart” things in Brooklyn, recording a solid stat line that was only lacking in points and field-goal percentage. If Hart remains in the starting five, he’s capable of providing value on par with his excellent 2024-25 campaign. More should be learned about the severity of Shamet’s shoulder injury in the coming days.

While his overall stat line may have been pedestrian by his standards, Brunson took advantage of a subpar opponent to produce an efficient scoring night. He shot over 50 percent from the field and has tallied at least 27 points in five straight games. Over the past two weeks, Brunson has been a top-25 player in nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster. With games against the Hornets and Bucks to end Week 6, he’s capable of pushing his season-long value into the top-25.

After struggling in Saturday’s loss to the Magic, Towns was much better in the penultimate game of the Knicks’ five-game road trip. He recorded his third 30-point double-double of the season, with the 37 points being two shy of his high. Just as importantly for those who have Towns rostered, his fingerprints were all over Monday’s game. Sure, the opposition wasn’t the best, but nights like Monday are why KAT remains one of the top frontcourt players in fantasy basketball. Wednesday’s game against the Hornets could potentially be another good matchup for Towns.

Already without OG Anunoby, the Knicks won’t have Landry Shamet or Mitchell Robinson for Monday’s game, either. As a result, McBride and Hart move into the starting lineup. Due to an illness, the former did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Magic, despite the Knicks never officially ruling him out. McBride has a clean bill of health now and is worth a look in deep leagues. Hart should already be rostered in most 12-team leagues.

Herro will take the floor for the first time all season on Monday. He led the Heat in scoring a season ago, which is when he earned his first All-Star selection. His return comes on a day when the Heat will be without its leading scorer, Norman Powell, who is dealing with a groin injury. Fantasy managers should be prepared to be patient with Herro in the early going, with him potentially being under a minutes restriction as he works his way back into form. The Heat are fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Over the past week, he’s been ranked just outside the top-25 in nine-cat formats. Adebayo’s season-long value has not aligned with his Yahoo! ADP (32), but he isn’t far away. Jaquez is rostered in 50 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but the percentage may decrease slightly during Week 6 due to the Heat’s poor schedule. Powell came out hot on Sunday, scoring ten points in the first quarter. The Heat guard would finish with his fourth 30-point game of the season, once again leading the way offensively. Powell has been a fantasy standout thus far, and his play has been one reason the Heat have been as explosive offensively as they’ve been in years. Brunson — who ranks tied for 10th in the NBA at 28.4 points per game this season — came out blazing hot, knocking down eight of his first 13 shots and piling up a game-high 23 points by halftime.
