An illness kept Powell out of Sunday’s tilt with the Pacers, and the quick turnaround to face the 76ers didn’t give him enough time to recover. With Powell out for a second straight game, Pelle Larsson should be the biggest fantasy beneficiary.

Herro hadn’t scored 20 points in three consecutive games entering play Sunday, but bounced back in the loss to the Pacers. Wembanyama did not have the best day shooting the basketball, but field-goal percentage has rarely been an issue for him this season. Add in the rebounds and assists, and this was a solid end to Week 22 for the MVP candidate, even with the poor shooting. The Spurs play four games in Week 23, and Monday’s matchup with the Bulls could be an excellent start to championship week for Wembanyama managers.

Vassell gave the Spurs welcome three-point shooting on Saturday, going 4-for-7. Even better for fantasy managers were the four defensive contributions, including three steals. Before Saturday, Vassell totaled five steals and zero blocked shots in his previous seven appearances. Castle put up his fourth triple-double of the season in Saturday’s rout of the Bucks, and he did so efficiently. Since the All-Star break, the reigning Rookie of the Year has been a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats. Ware was solid in Miami’s two games against the Cavaliers, totaling 27 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, one steal, one blocked shot and five three-pointers. Inconsistency has been an issue for the second-year center, and the recent returns of Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins limit Ware’s upside, even though they don’t share the same position. The good news for fantasy managers is that Adebayo was active on the boards, as he grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds. However, with the Cavaliers getting Jarrett Allen back from a knee injury, Bam had a brutal night on offense. He shot 1-of-8 from three and wasn’t much better inside of the arc, shooting 2-of-6 from two. Sunday’s matchup with the Pacers sets up to be more manageable for Adebayo and the Heat, at least on paper.

Jaquez was one of the few Heat players to be productive in Friday’s defeat, two days after Miami routed the Cavaliers in Cleveland. His 20 points on Friday were tops on the team, and he did so on 9-of-13 shooting from the field. Add in the assists and three-pointers, and this was a decent effort for managers rostering the Heat reserve.

Castle had an up-and-down performance on Wednesday. He elevated his teammates by facilitating at a high level, but gave the opposition opportunities by committing five turnovers. And while he was extremely efficient from the floor, the second-year guard left almost a good chunk of points at the charity stripe. Castle ultimately came close to securing a double-double, despite some shortcomings in his 26 minutes of game action. However, there’s another level he’s shown capable of reaching, one fantasy managers are hoping to see in the thick of the fantasy playoffs.

Vassell had the hot hand on Wednesday, particularly from beyond the arc. His three-point production helped tie a team-high in points, while his activity on the glass put him within striking distance of a double-double. However, a one-sided contest ultimately limited Vassell to 26 minutes. Perhaps he’ll be able to carry his momentum over to Saturday’s game against the Bucks, when the Spurs try for their eighth consecutive win.

Wemby was stellar in his relatively limited minutes on Wednesday, as a 25-point win limited him to only 27 minutes. His time on the floor was productive, however, as he racked up another double-double while blocking all but two of his team’s nine shots. The former first-overall pick also added a few steals to combine for 10 stocks, the second time he’s done that this season. Wembanyama, regardless of minutes, is arguably as reliable a fantasy option as any. He’ll have a chance to put together another spectacular line on Saturday when the Spurs face the Bucks.

Since returning to action after missing seven games due to injury, Powell has come off the bench in three of his four appearances. Back in the Heat lineup after an eight-game absence, Wiggins only played 20 minutes on Monday. The numbers weren’t great, but he did record a complete stat line while shooting over 50 percent from the field. Herro failed to crack 20 points for a fourth straight game on Monday, but the good news for fantasy managers was that he put up solid percentages from the field and the foul line. Since the All-Star break, the Heat guard has averaged 21.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.7 three-pointers per game while shooting nearly 48 percent from the field. As has been the case for most players Victor Wembanyama has defended this season, Adebayo struggled on Monday. Ten of his 17 shot attempts came from beyond the arc, with the Heat center making two. There was an injury scare during the first half, as the reigning Rookie of the Year took an inadvertent Jaime Jaquez Jr. knee to the head, but he returned to action after a short stint on the bench. And with the Spurs winning by 25 points, there was little need for the team to have Castle play starters’ minutes in his first game back.
