While Herro has missed Miami’s last two games, Powell has been absent for the last seven. For Thursday’s win over the Bucks, the Heat called on Kasparas Jakučionis and Pelle Larsson to move into the starting lineup, with the former scoring 18 points. If Powell and Herro play, Jakučionis and Larsson will come off the bench.

Jakučionis started a second straight game with Tyler Herro (quad) sidelined, and this outing was far more productive than the first. He set a new career high for rebounds and had one of his most effective scoring nights of the season. Jakučionis clearly has plenty of talent and is only 19 years old, making him a valuable asset in dynasty leagues. However, his lack of consistent minutes makes him a difficult player to roster in standard leagues.

The second-year guard has been a starter for most of the season for Miami, but he hasn’t been a consistent fantasy contributor. However, he was productive in this game and ended up setting a new career high for scoring while still contributing in other categories. The former second-round pick should continue to play big minutes, but he won’t offer enough in the box score to be worth rostering in most formats.

Well, it wasn’t exactly an encore. Two days after finishing with 83 points, the second-most in a game in NBA history, Adebayo struggled from the floor and finished with a quarter of his total points from the win over the Wizards. Though he was able to get to the free throw line at a decent rate, he wasn’t able to replicate his 43 attempts from Tuesday’s game. He was still able to extend his streak of 20 point games to eight in a row.

Like Trae Young, Sarr’s playing time has been limited, with the second-year center logging 23 minutes on Thursday. However, that’s all the time he needed to record two steals and five blocked shots, excellent production for category league managers. The Wizards play once more in Week 20, and they begin Week 21 with a back-to-back, which is a concern for Sarr managers.

Young played 21 minutes on Thursday, finishing with solid numbers in points and assists. While the minutes limit does the point guard no favors in terms of fantasy value, getting some production from Young is better than not having him on the floor at all. The Wizards end their week with a game against the Celtics on Saturday, another challenging matchup for Young and his new team.

One game removed from being on the wrong end of a historic performance by Miami’s Bam Adebayo, the Wizards bounced back with a solid effort in Orlando. Coulibaly, whose banked-in three-pointer with five seconds remaining in regulation sent the game into overtime, led the way. His 29 points were a career-high, with the Wizards’ wing recording a complete stat line. Scoring hasn’t been Coulibaly’s best attribute, so fantasy managers should not expect Thursday’s effort to become the norm. However, there should be more room for him to put up numbers as the Wizards close out their season.

Ware missed Tuesday’s record-setting game against the Wizards in which Bam Adebayo scored 83 points. It appears that Ware will return for this one and go back to his role with around 26-30 minutes per game. Johnson’s offensive production has picked up recently, with the rookie having scored at least 15 points in three consecutive games. He was efficient against the Heat, shooting over 50 percent from the field. Unfortunately, the overall stat line was a bit lean on Tuesday. Riley led the Wizards in minutes on Tuesday, and he’s scored at least 19 points in four of his last six appearances. Interestingly, the rookie was used in a reserve role in the two games before that, with Leaky Black as the starter. One would think that starting Riley would be a priority for the Wizards the rest of the season, but you never know. Hopefully, Tuesday’s performance convinces the Wizards to leave Riley in the starting five.

The Wizards are still limiting Sarr’s playing time, but he made the most of his 20 minutes on Tuesday. The 28 points are the most in a game for the second-year center since putting up 29 in a January 27 win over the Trail Blazers, and three shy of his season-high. However, as encouraging as this performance was, Sarr’s playing time is a concern for fantasy managers the rest of the season. And with the front office wanting to strengthen its draft lottery odds, there isn’t much incentive to play Sarr heavy minutes.

The Heat have won six straight games, and Mitchell’s improvements as a playmaker is one of the reasons for the team’s surgery. During the streak, he has totaled 29 assists and five turnovers. The Heat play two more games in Week 20, starting with the Bucks on Thursday.

It’s unlikely to become a trivia question in the future, but Fontecchio was Miami’s second-leading scorer on a night when Bam Adebayo dropped a franchise-record 83 points. Fontecchio shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and the 18 points were the most in a game for him since hitting that number in a February 3 loss to the Hawks. In fact, Fontecchio’s 18 points matched his total from his prior five appearances.

Adebayo’s night was absurd, and it didn’t take long to realize that he was capable of doing something special. He scored 31 points in the first quarter and went into the halftime break with 43, with both accomplishments being franchise records. And despite holding a commanding lead throughout, the Heat didn’t pull Adebayo until late in the fourth, allowing him to put up the second-highest single-game point total in NBA history. He also set league records for free throws made and attempted, and became the first player to attempt at least 22 three-pointers and 30 free throws in the same game.
