Diabaté took over for Ryan Kalkbrenner, who left with an ankle injury. The 23-year-old power forward started the second half and played a total of 25 minutes. Diabaté had just six points as the Hornets have no shortage of other scorers, but he’s averaging 10.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 22 minutes this year. If Kalkbrenner were to miss time, Diabaté would certainly be worth rostering in most leagues.

Miller missed nearly a month of action with a shoulder injury before returning against the Clippers on Saturday. The 23-year-old small forward played 26 minutes in his first game back and that should only increase as he gets further away from the injury. Miller was a little rusty as he went 2-of-10 from three-point range, but still managed to score 21 points.

The 30-year-old power forward still has the entire afternoon to recover from his illness, though it’s unclear what illness Kuzma is dealing with. Portis was Bucks head coach Doc Rivers’ choice to fill the massive void left by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will be re-evaluated in one to two weeks after suffering a strained groin. After a slow start to his 11th NBA season, “The Mayor of Milwaukee” was productive in his 28 minutes. The playing time is a concern, especially with Myles Turner (14/10/1 with three three-pointers) also playing 28 minutes. Gary Trent Jr. (11 points, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers) replaced Portis in the lineup to begin the third quarter, a sign that the matchup influenced the minutes. Despite that, Milwaukee’s lack of dependable frontcourt options makes rostering Portis a risk worth taking in deeper leagues.

While Kuzma hasn’t been the most reliable option for fantasy managers, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence with a low-grade groin strain makes him worth a longer look. The Bucks forward provided solid value on Thursday in the first game that Milwaukee has played since Giannis’ injury. However, some fantasy managers will hope for more rebounding production from Kuzma. Unfortunately, the Bucks end Week 5 with a challenging matchup, as they’ll host the red-hot Pistons on Saturday.

Rollins continues to shine as the Bucks’ starting point guard. On Thursday, he recorded his second career double-double and matched his career-high with 32 points. Rollins’ 14 assists were a career-high as he hit double digits in that category for the second time as a pro. Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) still isn’t close to a return, but it’s fair to say that Rollins will remain the Bucks’ starting point guard no matter what. He’s only rostered in 52 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is way too low.

Charania’s report indicates it’s a low-grade left groin strain for Giannis, and if he doesn’t return in November, he should be back quickly to start December. That means at least three absences for Giannis, though he could be out seven games or more, depending on how he recovers. Antetokounmpo has had one of the highest usage rates of his career this year, so there will be plenty of shots to go around. Recently, Kyle Kuzma (24 percent rostered in Yahoo! leagues) replaced Gary Trent Jr. (seven percent) in the starting lineup, but GTJ could make a return to the opening unit with Antetokounmpo out. Jericho Sims started the second half of Monday’s game against the Cavaliers, but that was likely a matchup-based decision against Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Bobby Portis (25 percent) is another candidate to enter the starting lineup, though he has been disappointing this year. Of course, Ryan Rollins, who is enjoying a breakout season for the Bucks, had his two best games of the year when Giannis missed games earlier this year. Everyone on the Bucks will seen a bump in usage and minutes until Antetokounmpo returns.
