DeRozan was limited to 29 minutes on Friday in the blowout loss to OKC. In his minutes, he shot efficiently and logged more three-point makes against the Thunder than he had combined prior to Friday’s contest. Still, the veteran scorer finished with fewer than 20 points and had minimal impact as a facilitator or defender. Aside from his contributions from beyond the arc, there wasn’t much for fantasy managers to get excited about.

LaVine returned from a one-game absence on Friday but struggled to make much of a positive impact. In the blowout loss, he totaled 29 minutes and attempted just five shots. He was efficient on his limited looks, but scored in single digits for the first time all season. LaVine will have a chance to knock off the rust and bounce back on Sunday against a Timberwolves team that has won three of its last four games.

Westbrook logged his third-straight 20-point game of the season on Friday, which was again highlighted by strong overall shooting efficiency and high production from beyond the arc. The veteran guard also found success on the glass, produced as a passer, and got his teammates involved against his former team. Even in Year 18, Westbrook has proven capable of stuffing the stat sheet and providing value in fantasy leagues, especially now as he’s demonstrating an ability to be an efficient scorer. He’s certainly worthy of a roster spot.

Rollins continues to flourish as the Bucks’ starting point guard, enjoying his third game with at least 20 points on Friday. He’s proven to be a good fit alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has taken on more playmaking responsibilities this season. With Rollins being a fourth-round player in nine-cat formats, it will be enticing for some managers to consider selling high. However, holding onto him would not be the worst idea, even after Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) returns from injury.

For the first time as a Buck, Turner has recorded a 20-point game. In fact, he entered Friday having surpassed 15 points just once. While he can provide valuable spacing for Giannis Antetokounmpo, that has generally resulted in the “Greek Freak” getting downhill even more and finishing at the basket, rather than a few more catch-and-shoot opportunities for Turner. He was more involved in the offense on Friday, resulting in his best performance of the season thus far.

The Bulls had no answer for Antetokounmpo, who shot 50 percent from the field and finished one assist shy of a triple-double. And he was especially lethal during the fourth quarter, scoring 19 points. While he’s shooting 63.4 percent from the foul line, Giannis’ improvement in the turnover category has enhanced his value in nine-cat formats. According to Basketball Monster, he’s a top-10 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. More nights like Friday will give him a shot at cracking the top-5 in fantasy value, something he has not done since the 2016-17 campaign.

Despite coming off the bench, Monk’s role expanded with Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis sidelined. Sure enough, he came through with his second 20-point game of the season in his first action since missing two games for personal reasons. If LaVine remains out for additional games, Monk will be worth taking a flier on. DeRozan has scored 25 points or more on three occasions this season, including Wednesday’s win over the Warriors. The absences of Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis put a little more on Deebo’s plate, enabling him to attempt at least 20 shots in a game for the second time this season. DeRozan did not provide much value outside of points and free-throw percentage, but he remains a top-100 player in nine-cat formats.

Westbrook recorded his first triple-double as a King, helping lead the team to a win despite not having Zach LaVine or Domantas Sabonis. Rostered in 34 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s providing top-75 value in nine-cat formats. Westbrook has largely kept the turnovers in check, which has been great for the Kings and those who have him rostered. The Kings won’t have Zach LaVine or Domantas Sabonis for Wednesday’s game, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. While LaVine did play through lower back soreness on Monday, he will not be able to go on Wednesday. His absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup for Malik Monk, Keon Ellis or Nique Clifford. Antetokounmpo took all 14 of his shots inside the arc, scoring 15 of his team-high 22 points in the first half. The Bucks sputtered offensively on the second night of a back-to-back, shooting just 31 percent (6-of-19) from three in the opening half and falling behind by 19 at the break. They trailed by 25 entering the fourth, which allowed Giannis to rest the entire final period. Sabonis has led the NBA in rebounds three consecutive seasons, and a fourth rebounding straight title is a realistic possibility. He grabbed 17 boards against the Nuggets, and the five assists were also valuable for fantasy managers. That will need to be the case moving forward, as Sabonis’ scoring production may slip due to the number of scorers on the perimeter. He’s averaging 14.5 points per game, the lowest for Sabonis since the 2018-19 campaign (14.1 ppg). Playing in Denver for the first time since opting out of the final year of his two-year deal to hit free agency, Westbrook provided the complete “Russell Westbrook Experience” on Monday. Moving into the starting lineup, he was highly productive against the Nuggets, recording a double-double with six assists. However, he was also responsible for six turnovers, including two within 30 seconds late in the fourth quarter, effectively eliminating Sacramento’s rallying chances. After scoring 22 points off the bench in the Bucks’ last game, Kuzma was able to have another decent performance against Indiana. The discouraging part is that he only played 16 minutes. It was another spectacular night for Antetokounmpo despite another rough night from the free throw line, and it ended with a contested fadeaway at the buzzer. Having recorded career-high point totals in his last two games, Rollins was bound to cool down eventually. Even with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) back in the Bucks’ lineup, Portis’ playing time increased on Saturday, playing 23 minutes after logging 16 in Thursday’s win over the Warriors. The reason for the increase in playing time was Myles Turner (9/3/0/2 with three three-pointers) getting into early foul trouble, which limited him to 24 minutes. DeRozan and the Kings rebounded from a slow start to knock off the Bucks in Milwaukee, and their ability to get to the foul line was a factor.
