One game removed from his first double-double of the season, Vassell ended his Week 23 with another solid performance. The 18 points are the most in a game for him since March 25, when the Spurs’ wing scored 19 in a win over the Grizzlies. Vassell shot 3-of-8 from beyond the arc on Saturday, and he’s now 6-of-16 over his last two games. San Antonio plays four games without a back-to-back in Week 24, which is good news for Vassell managers whose leagues will remain active.

Champagnie’s six three-pointers were the most in a game for him since February 26, when he hit that many in a win over the Nets. The Spurs’ wing also provided value in the rebound category, closing Week 23 with a solid performance. For managers whose leagues have one more week, the Spurs play four games, and they still have a slim chance of catching Oklahoma City for the 1-seed in the West. That should ensure Champagnie of playing starters’ minutes at the beginning of Week 24.

While Castle did not record any defensive stats in Saturday’s overtime defeat, his work on that end of the floor helped limit Jamal Murray to 15 points. And the second-year guard had a good day offensively, as he scored 20 points on 50 percent shooting and dished out nine assists. While Castle’s season-long fantasy value has been low, he has been an improved option for category league managers since the All-Star break.

Wembanyama posted a massive stat line on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Spurs to a win in Denver. The overtime defeat does not officially end San Antonio’s chances of catching Oklahoma City, but they now trail the Thunder by four games in the loss column. Wembanyama shot the ball well from the field and the foul line on Saturday, and he has corralled 18 rebounds in consecutive games. Add in the assists and blocks, and the MVP candidate likely helped some fantasy managers win their championship week matchups.

Making his fifth start of the season, Nance recorded the first double-double of his NBA career on Friday. The Bucks forward shot 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and the ten rebounds represent a new career-high. As a starter, Nance played 33 minutes on Friday. And with it being highly unlikely that Giannis Antetokounmpo is back for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies, Nance may get another start. He’s a risky play in fantasy leagues, but the minutes are there.

Prince’s overall stat line will not jump off the page, especially with the lack of rebounds. However, he shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and scored a team-high 18 points. Prince played 25 minutes, and he’s shown on multiple occasions that he does not need to play heavy minutes to provide tangible fantasy value. If available, he’ll be worth streaming in deep leagues for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Due to Ryan Rollins (hip) missing another game, Green once again assumed the starting point guard duties for the Bucks. Valued mainly for points and three-pointers, the Bucks guard dished out five assists on Friday. That may not seem like much, but it was the highest tally in a game for Green since March 25. The Bucks play once more in Week 23, as they host the Grizzlies on Sunday. Managers needing a guard should consider adding Green, especially if Rollins remains out.

The rookie guard shot 66.7 percent from the field against the Clippers, and he dished out five assists for the second consecutive game. With no Victor Wembanyama (ankle), the Spurs needed a group effort on the glass to take care of the Clippers. And they got it, with Vassell and Julian Champagnie (13/8/4/2 with one three-pointer) leading the way. Vassell’s double-double was his first of the season, and he also shot 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. Due to the strength of the Spurs’ rotation, Vassell boasts a lower fantasy ceiling than in seasons past. Still, his perimeter shooting ability makes him a valuable option in most leagues.

After attempting nine shots in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors, Castle put up 15 on Thursday. A big reason for the increase was Victor Wembanyama (ankle) not playing, and the reigning Rookie of the Year took advantage of his opportunities. Castle did not record any defensive stats against the Clippers, but he’s still averaging one steal per game. The rebounds, assists and three-pointers were good, so there isn’t much for fantasy managers to worry about.

With no Victor Wembanyama, as he sat to rest his ankle, Fox was able to do a bit more scoring-wise than he did in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors. The Spurs’ guard doubled his point total from the night prior, and he did so on good percentages from the field and the foul line. Fox’s counting stats aren’t ones to brag about — he narrowly made it into double figures as a scorer and finished with fewer than five rebounds and assists. Yet he was a team-best plus-30 in his 25 minutes, reflecting the positive impact he had on Wednesday’s game. Castle was effective in his 33 minutes on Wednesday. He didn’t take many shots, but still impacted the game well as a passer.
