Coming off his best game of the season, Bagley finds himself on the injury report. If he isn’t able to suit up and fill the backup center minutes behind Alex Sarr, that role will fall to Tristan Vukcevic, though that isn’t enough playing time for him to be worth streaming.

Giannis isn’t the first elite player to change his shoes after a slow start, and he won’t be the last. In the aftermath of Tuesday’s performance, the Knicks likely hope the Bucks star would have remained in his first pair. Gianns got downhill at will, and his final stat line included seven assists, a number he’s met or exceeded in three straight games. While Ryan Rollins has filled in capably at the point with Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) sidelined, KPJ’s injury also means more instances of “Point Giannis,” which is great for fantasy managers.

Rollins was sensational against the Knicks, making another start for the injured Kevin Porter Jr. He scored 13 points in the first half, a career-high for points in a half, and nearly matched that number after halftime. Rollins has three 20-point games in his career, with two coming against the Knicks. And based on Bucks head coach Doc Rivers’ comments about the injured Kevin Porter Jr. before Tuesday’s game, the starting point guard job may belong to Rollins for a bit longer. “He’s still out. He’s going to be out for a bit still,” Rivers said. “I mean, obviously, he’s key for us, one of our big keys. We’re not going to rush him because we don’t want this thing to become chronic. It was a bad turn and so we’re just gonna be patient.” Rollins is rostered in just 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues; pick him up if he’s available.

Serving as Alex Sarr’s backup is not a good place for any post player in terms of fantasy value. However, Bagley played well against the 76ers, providing everything but a three-pointer in the overtime defeat. He did take a Joel Embiid elbow to the face during the second quarter, but was back on the floor in the third when Sarr needed a break. There’s no need to add Bagley in fantasy leagues, but there may be times when he has streaming value.

George has been on a roll to begin the season, much to the delight of those who believed he could break out in fantasy basketball. He’s scored 20 points or more in three of Washington’s first four games, except Sunday’s foul-plagued loss to the Hornets. George, who recorded a complete stat line on Tuesday, is rostered in 51 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Given his role and the production, that percentage is too low.

Averaging 4.3 assists per game entering Tuesday, McCollum notched a season-high in that category against the 76ers. In 56 games for the Pelicans last season, the veteran guard recorded at least seven assists on eight occasions. Bub Carrington (10/5/5/1/1 with two three-pointers) runs the show, but McCollum has the ball in his hands plenty. The lingering concern for fantasy managers is the potential for a late-season shutdown, but there’s little need to lose sleep over that in late October.

Sarr was rolling to start Tuesday’s game, finishing the first half with 20 points and seven rebounds. While the second-year pivot finished with his first career 30-point double-double, the production tailed off after halftime. That’s the next step for Sarr: being consistently dominant. He held his own against the 76ers’ post players, including Joel Embiid. While the Wizards won’t be pleased with letting a double-digit lead slip away, they have to be encouraged by what Sarr did. And the same goes for fantasy managers who have him rostered.

While Rollins did score 13 points in Friday’s win over the Raptors, he finished with more turnovers (three) than assists (two). Making a second consecutive start in place of the injured Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle), Rollins was much better on Sunday despite the Bucks losing in Cleveland. Only Giannis Antetokounmpo had more assists than Rollins’ eight, and he only committed two turnovers. Rostered in nine percent of Yahoo! leagues, Rollins is worth a look ahead of Milwaukee’s three-game week if Porter remains sidelined.

Mainly an option for fantasy managers needing three-pointers, Green has lived up to that expectation thus far. The Bucks guard has shot 10-of-17 from beyond the arc through three games. Sunday’s performance was Green’s best, as he mixed in a few shots in the paint and his first five free-throw attempts of the season. He remains a player who should be called upon solely for three-pointers, but Green has earned a place in the starting lineup and consistent opportunities. He should be on the radar in deep leagues, even with the Bucks only playing three games during Week 2.

Sarr’s 21 points were a season-high and he blocked three shots for the second consecutive game. The 20-year-old center shot just 39 percent from the field last year, but he’s 19-of-35 (54 percent) on field goal attempts so far this year. That’s a significant development for Sarr if he’s able to continue that level of production over the course of the rest of this season.

While Ryan Rollins has served as the starting point guard in Kevin Porter Jr.'s absence, there has been an uptick in Antetokounmpo’s usage as a primary playmaker. He was excellent against the Cavaliers, dishing out nine assists and committing just two turnovers. Add in scoring, rebounding and defense, and Sunday was another great night to have Antetokounmpo rostered. Fantasy managers still have to punt free-throw percentage when rostering Giannis; he brings too much value to the table to lose sleep over a single category. Milwaukee plays three games during Week 2, all at home, starting with the Knicks on Tuesday.

Sarr didn’t contribute any defensive stats in the season opener, but he was able to bounce back and provide four stocks to help the Wizards get their first win of the season. Though it has only been two games, Sarr’s field goal percentage has been much better than it was as a rookie, which is a huge development for him. The Wizards fell short in Wednesday’s season opener, but the play of reserves Johnson and Cam Whitmore in their respective debuts was encouraging. Bucks staffers gave Middleton a hero’s welcome upon his arrival at Fiserv Forum for his first game at the arena since being traded in February. The veteran forward played well in Wednesday’s opener. Middleton was efficient on offense, shooting over 50 percent from the field and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Two concerns for Middleton in fantasy basketball are his availability and the Wizards’ full investment in rebuilding. In a perfect world, Middleton will play well enough to boost his value heading into the February trade deadline, with a potential move elsewhere ensuring he’s available for the stretch run. That may not be the case if he remains in Washington for the entire season.

Turner didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, but there were signs that his partnership with Giannis Antetokounmpo can benefit both parties. Eight of his 12 shot attempts came from beyond the arc, with the center’s ability to space the floor helping to open up driving lanes for Antetokounmpo. Turner was effective as a defender and facilitator, which are areas where he can be especially valuable to the Bucks this season. He’ll have better nights shooting the basketball.

Kuzma came off the bench Wednesday night, and that role may suit him better than being with the starters. The veteran forward finished the 133-120 victory with a solid stat line, shooting 50 percent from the field. Kuzma missed both of his three-point attempts, but the overall efficiency was there. AJ Green (11/2/1 with three three-pointers) played 27 minutes, and his superior shooting will likely keep him in the starting lineup. However, that may not be bad for Kuzma, who hasn’t provided much fantasy value in recent years.

Besides Giannis Antetokounmpo, six other Bucks, including Trent, finished Wednesday’s victory in double figures. Of his 12 shot attempts, 11 were three-pointers, of which GTJ made five. While Sarr made all six free throw attempts, he struggled with the physicality of the Pistons’ bigs, most notably starter Jalen Duren. That was sometimes an issue for the Wizards center during his rookie season, and it’s unsurprising given his build. What will help Sarr is being able to knock down perimeter shots. He made 30.8 percent of his three-point attempts as a rookie and shot 1-of-4 in two preseason games. Sarr has top-100 potential, especially as a focal point for the rebuilding Wizards, but he has to get better at dealing with physicality to truly flourish.

McCollum looked good in his final action of the preseason, playing 24 minutes against the Pistons. He and fellow veteran Khris Middleton (3/4/4 in 24 minutes) are in an interesting spot. Under normal circumstances, both would have solid fantasy value as starters. However, with the Wizards rebuilding, it’s fair to wonder how long that will last, and if the team hopes to showcase McCollum and Middleton before the February trade deadline. That question pushes both players down some boards, with McCollum being the superior fantasy option.

Carrington exited Thursday’s preseason finale after playing four minutes. He landed awkwardly after attempting to deflect a pass. The good news is that the Wizards announced the second-year guard is dealing with a sore left knee rather than a more serious issue. Fantasy managers should not panic and push Carrington down their draft boards, unless the Wizards provide an update that proves more serious than the initial diagnosis.

In their third and final preseason game, the Wizards will roll out the same five-man unit that they began the preseason with. Thursday’s starting lineup, which features a combination of youth and experienced veterans, could presumably be the same one used on opening night by Washington when it faces Milwaukee on October 22. Given the Wizards have neither played many preseason games nor gotten many reps together thus far, it’ll be interesting to see how much playing time the main rotation players receive against the Pistons.
