Saturday’s game is the first of two in as many nights that the Bulls will play in Miami, so they’re unlikely to have Vooch for one of them. Rookie Lachlan Olbrich, who has spent most of his time in the G League, is not on the injury report, so he should be available to play rotation minutes. However, he is not worth the streaming risk. The best-case scenario for the Bulls is that Jalen Smith (calf) will be available after leaving Thursday’s loss to the Heat in the second quarter.

Randle may not have done much scoring on Thursday, but he was one of the Timberwolves who brought added defensive intensity to the table. And that paid off in the form of four steals, a season-high for Randle. He’s providing top-25 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, averaging just over 22 points per game. With Rudy Gobert initially questionable for Thursday’s game with a sprained left ankle, it appeared that Reid would have a chance to start. Gobert (14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal) played, but his presence in the lineup didn’t keep Reid from doing what he usually does as the highest-scoring reserve in the NBA. After averaging 11.8 points on 42 percent shooting in Minnesota’s last five games, McDaniels had an outstanding night against the Thunder. He made all five of his three-point attempts and has scored at least 20 points in 11 games this season, one less than his tally for the entire 2024-25 campaign. While playing alongside Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle limits McDaniels’ offensive ceiling, his overall production makes him worth having in standard category leagues.

Edwards and the Timberwolves brought increased defensive intensity from the start of Thursday’s game, and it paid immense dividends, as they won 123-111, a score that wasn’t as close as the final would indicate. The lone negative for Huerter was the overall field-goal percentage, as he knocked down four triples and recorded his first double-double of the season. However, there’s a reason Red Velvet is rostered in only nine percent of Yahoo! leagues. If Josh Giddey (hamstring) remains out and Jalen Smith (calf) can’t play on Saturday in Miami, there would be a little more room for Huerter to contribute offensively. While Vučević recorded his 19th double-double of the season, he struggled offensively. In addition to the poor shooting, there were a few instances when teammates passed the ball elsewhere instead of allowing their starting center to take advantage of a mismatch. That led to a frustrated Vučević grabbing the dry eraseboard during a fourth-quarter timeout to show his teammates what was happening. We’ll see if that affects Vučević’s production when the Bulls visit the Heat on Saturday and Sunday.

A top-100 fantasy player for most of the season, Buzelis has provided top-75 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. After scoring just four points in the first half, Dosunmu had an outstanding second half for the Bulls. Inserted into the lineup due to Jalen Smith’s early exit with right calf tightness, Dosunmu scored 19 points in the second half, shooting 6-of-9 from the field. Add in the rebounds and assists, and the Bulls’ guard provided excellent value in his 31 minutes. The three-point shot worked to Buzelis’s advantage on Wednesday, as the Bulls’ forward hit four three-pointers for the third time in the past five games. He was one of only two Chicago players to reach the 20-point mark in this game, which was impressive, considering the low volume of shots he generated. Buzelis also contributed on the glass in Wednesday’s loss and nearly walked away with a double-double. Vučević contributed in many ways during Chicago’s three-point loss to Indiana. Of the many things he did well, his scoring and three-point shooting arguably rank at the top — his touch both in and outside the arc was enough to lead the Bulls in scoring. DiVincenzo did all of his scoring from beyond the arc on Monday, taking and making a lot of threes at an efficient clip.
