Duren and Harris were held out of Saturday’s loss to the Grizzlies, with Isaiah Stewart and Dennis Schroder replacing them in the starting lineup. While Schroder’s fantasy value is impacted more by Cade Cunningham’s presence in the lineup, Beef Stew’s value will be raised if Duren cannot play, and he gets another start.

Thompson finished Saturday’s defeat with his second double-double in five games and third of the season. Over the past two weeks, the second-year wing has been a sixth-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. While Thompson may not be a star within the Pistons’ lineup, he’s a “connector,” which has ensured he provides solid fantasy value. For Thompson managers whose leagues run through Week 23, the Pistons play four games, and Monday’s matchup with the Kings will be excellent for streaming purposes.

Beef Stew returned to the court on Saturday after a two-game suspension, and he did so as a starter. Jalen Duren (leg) was ruled out shortly before tip-off, so Stewart was inserted into the starting lineup. And he had a productive night, filling the stat sheet in 34 minutes on the court. Duren’s absence also meant Paul Reed remained in the rotation, but he offered limited production in his 11 minutes on the court. Once Duren returns, Stewart will head back to the bench.

Cunningham returned to the Pistons’ lineup on Saturday after missing six games with a calf injury. While the shot was a bit off, he finished one steal shy of a complete stat line. Interestingly, Pistons coach JB Bickerstaff kept Dennis Schroder in the starting lineup, moving Malik Beasley to the bench instead. Schroder (10/2/4 with two three-pointers) was able to preserve some of his fantasy value, and there wasn’t much change for Beasley (11 points, three rebounds, one steal and three three-pointers), either. How long Schroder remains in the starting lineup depends on Tobias Harris, who did not play on Saturday due to a heel injury.

After three straight games of 25 points or more, Randle scored 26 in his last two appearances, shooting a combined 9-of-22 from the field. However, despite the downtick in scoring, he has remained an eighth-round player in nine-cat formats over the past week. Randle has provided solid value in the rebound and assist categories, thus preserving some of his fantasy value. The Timberwolves don’t play again until Tuesday when they visit the Bucks.

Anthony Edwards wasn’t the only Timberwolves scorer taking advantage of frequent mismatches as the 76ers didn’t have an answer for Gobert, either. The veteran center recorded another elite stat line, eclipsing 21 points and 18 rebounds for the second straight games. The “Stifle Tower” also recorded five “stocks.” Over the past two weeks, Gobert has provided top-20 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Gobert managers whose leagues are not finished are likely happy that he’ll have four games to play during Week 23.

Edwards was outstanding on Saturday, as the undermanned 76ers had no answer for him defensively. The Timberwolves star woke up the Philadelphia crowd early in the first quarter with one of the dunks of the season. And his three-pointer late in the fourth quarter as the shot clock expired sent everyone to the exits. The 37 points are the most for Edwards since March 17, when he scored 38 in a loss to the Pacers. For fantasy managers whose seasons run through Week 23, the Timberwolves play four games, starting with the Bucks on Tuesday.

Schroder continues to start with Cade Cunningham (calf) out of the lineup. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, this hasn’t been the 31-year-old point guard’s very best stretch of play. Schroder was able to have a solid game with 16 points and seven assists, giving him four straight games with at least seven assists. Schroder will keep starting as long as Cunningham is out and he needs to be rostered in all formats until that stops.

Hardaway Jr. has now had back-to-back games with at least 23 points. With Cade Cunningham (calf) and Tobias Harris (Achilles) out of the lineup, there’s plenty of opportunities for the 33-year-old shooting guard these days. Hardaway Jr. was efficient as he only took 14 shots, but Malik Beasley still might have more potential as he led the Pistons with 20 shot attempts Friday.

Duren absolutely dominated the Raptors Friday with little resistance from the Toronto defense. The 21-year-old center had 21 points on 11 shots, pulled down 18 rebounds and had six assists. All without Cade Cunningham (calf) and Tobias Harris (Achilles) to take attention away from the defense. Duren also blocked four shots to cap a massive evening from the young big man. Hardaway Jr. went off for 23 points and five three-pointers as the Pistons lost by 16 to the Thunder. We’ve seen this movie before as the 33-year-old shooting guard is certainly capable of big games but tends not to sustain this level of production. He might have the opportunity if Tobias Harris, who left Wednesday’s game against the Thunder with an Achilles injury, misses more time. It was a slow start to the game for Edwards, but things started clicking for him late in the game. He scored 13 points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of triples with less than three minutes left in regulation that gave Minnesota a late lead. He added six more points in the first overtime period and five more in the second, which was enough for the Timberwolves to squeak out a road win over the Nuggets. NAW was Minnesota’s primary reserve option on Tuesday, with Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid serving suspensions. He came up big for them late, hitting multiple big shots and finally winning the game after being fouled on a three-pointer with 0.1 seconds left in the game. He made the first two and missed the final shot intentionally to end the game. This was a new season-high for scoring for NAW, and he approached triple-double territory. With both Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid serving their suspension for their involvement in the brawl with the Pistons, head coach Chris Finch turned to Minott for reserve minutes.
