Melton had another excellent shooting night off the bench Friday. The 27-year-old shooting guard has now been in double figures in nine of his last 11 games. Melton typically plays 25 minutes or less, which caps his overall fantasy value and makes ceiling games hard to come by. Still, his scoring was up in January as he averaged 14.4 points per game. Melton and the Warriors have a few days off before their next game Tuesday against the 76ers.

Curry left Friday’s game against the Pistons in the third quarter with right knee soreness and didn’t return, but his coach didn’t seem too concerned about it postgame. Kerr told reporters he doesn’t think the injury is anything major, though it’s been nagging the 37-year-old point guard for the past week. The Warriors will have a more official update on Curry’s status Saturday, but it seems more like an injury he’ll have to manage than something that could keep him sidelined for an extended period. The Warriors fortunately have a few days off before Tuesday’s game against the 76ers.

Curry checked out of the game in the third quarter Friday against the Pistons and headed straight to the locker room following a brief interaction with the team’s trainer. The Warriors quickly ruled him out for the rest of the game with right knee soreness. While the severity of the injury is unclear, the Warriors have a few days off before their next game Tuesday against the 76ers. With Jimmy Butler already done for the year, a significant injury to Curry isn’t one the Warriors can afford.

Randle may not have done much scoring on Thursday, but he was one of the Timberwolves who brought added defensive intensity to the table. And that paid off in the form of four steals, a season-high for Randle. He’s providing top-25 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, averaging just over 22 points per game. The Timberwolves play one more game in Week 15, as they visit the Grizzlies on Saturday.

With Rudy Gobert initially questionable for Thursday’s game with a sprained left ankle, it appeared that Reid would have a chance to start. Gobert (14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal) played, but his presence in the lineup didn’t keep Reid from doing what he usually does as the highest-scoring reserve in the NBA. Over the past two weeks, he has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats.

After averaging 11.8 points on 42 percent shooting in Minnesota’s last five games, McDaniels had an outstanding night against the Thunder. He made all five of his three-point attempts and has scored at least 20 points in 11 games this season, one less than his tally for the entire 2024-25 campaign. While playing alongside Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle limits McDaniels’ offensive ceiling, his overall production makes him worth having in standard category leagues.

Edwards and the Timberwolves brought increased defensive intensity from the start of Thursday’s game, and it paid immense dividends, as they won 123-111, a score that wasn’t as close as the final would indicate. Gobert played 21 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday, and the team may have been monitoring his soreness with that smaller amount of court time. After sitting out Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Horford was back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. Having started the last two games that he’s been available for, it’s fair to wonder if Horford will be able to hold onto the job for a bit. He provided good value in that role on Wednesday, recording a complete stat line that included eight assists and three blocks. Quentin Post (10/6/2 with two three-pointers) had a good night off the bench, but Horford has a higher ceiling because of his abilities as a facilitator and defender.

Of the eight Warriors who finished Wednesday’s victory in double figures, five were reserves. That includes Santos, whose 16 points were three shy of his career-high. And while Golden State did lead by as much as 27, his production can’t be credited solely to the game getting out of hand. There’s no need to add Santos after Wednesday’s performance, but this may inspire some confidence among deep-league managers the next time that Golden State is shorthanded.

Recording his first 20-point game in nearly two weeks, Moody had one of his best games of the season on Wednesday. The 26 points were the most he’s tallied in a game since November 16, when the Warriors’ guard dropped a season-high 32. With Jimmy Butler (knee) done for the rest of the season, the Warriors will need increased production from the supporting cast, including Moody. While his season-long fantasy value remains low, the circumstances make Moody a player worth adding in standard leagues.

Back in the Warriors’ lineup after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Curry shot 50 percent from the field on Wednesday. However, that was the lone negative for the guard, who recorded a complete line in his 38 minutes on the floor. Post logged 28 minutes in the Warriors’ blowout loss to the Wolves and finished as Golden State’s leading scorer. He was one of five starters to score in double figures, with his three-point production leading the way. Despite being one of the Warriors’ more productive players on Monday, fantasy managers shouldn’t come away from this game with any new thoughts on Post — he remains a low-floor option in fantasy leagues whose value is tied to his three-point shot.

Podziemski was one of the limited regular starters who was available to play in Monday’s game. In his 28 minutes, inefficient shooting limited his scoring production, but it was enough to get him into double figures on the evening. The third-year guard also contributed on the glass and was one of Golden State’s best distributors on Monday. Santos got the start for a depleted Warriors team on Monday and was one of their most productive players. In his 26 minutes, he crashed the glass hard to reach double figures in rebounds, and was the only Warriors player to notch at least one block and steal apiece. Several players made big contributions for the Timberwolves in their blowout victory over the Warriors. Even in the one-sided affair, Gobert logged 35 minutes, allowing him the time necessary to dominate the glass and the interior before finishing with a monster double-double, his eighth of January. DiVincenzo did all of his scoring from beyond the arc on Monday, taking and making a lot of threes at an efficient clip. In addition to the scoring, DiVincenzo was by far Minnesota’s best distributor on the night — he led the team in assists and tied a season-high in the process. His four stocks may stand out the most, however, to add to a very balanced performance. The Timberwolves won this game convincingly, but even with the score being one-sided, DiVincenzo logged 31 minutes and, as a result, was nearly able to collect a double-double.

It continues to come inconsistently, but Reid has been a fantasy beast at times this season. Usually, that’s because of an offensive explosion, which held true in this game. However, it was the defensive impact that made this so impressive.
