Edwards played 23 minutes in his return to the court on Monday, with Mike Conley making another start due to “nature calling” for the Timberwolves’ star. If Edwards can’t play against the Pistons, Conley would get another start. This also raises the fantasy ceiling for Ayo Dosunmu, who is replacing Jaden McDaniels (knee) in the starting lineup.

Durant started the game on fire by making his first four shots and scoring 10 points in the first three minutes of the game. Dosunmu showed off his versatility throughout Monday’s contest. As a scorer, he did most of his work inside the arc before finishing as Minnesota’s second-highest scorer. He set a new season-high in rebounds, which led the Timberwolves. And when he wasn’t scoring, it was likely because of how impactful a facilitator he was, as he reached double figures in assists for the first time this season. Donsunmu collected a few steals to sweeten his final stat line, and even though a second consecutive triple-double is unlikely, he will have chances to keep making an impact while Jaden McDaniels is out of the lineup with an injury.

Randle was one of several Timberwolves players to land good production against Dallas on Monday. In the one-sided affair, the veteran forward did work as a scorer both inside and outside the arc, while also contributing as a passer. He left some points at the free-throw line but was still able to finish as Minnesota’s only player to reach the 20-point mark. Randle will look to secure another solid performance against the Pistons on Thursday.

Edwards didn’t start Monday’s game, despite initially being tabbed as a starter in his return from a six-game absence. He eventually checked in off the bench and produced in his 23 minutes during the 30-point victory. Edwards shot the ball efficiently and made some plays as a passer, too, showing that it likely won’t take long for him to get right back in the swing of things. He’ll have seven more games to get comfortable before the regular season ends, but fantasy managers are hoping it takes far less time than that.

Edwards will return to the Wolves’ starting lineup in his first game back from a knee injury. He’ll join three of the usual starters and Dosunmu, who is making a spot start against the Mavericks thanks to Jaden McDaniels’ knee injury. Minnesota, the fifth seed in the Western Conference, currently has the same record as Houston, which occupies the sixth seed. Each game down the stretch of the regular season could have an impact on the playoff picture — including Monday’s contest.

Edwards’ return from a six-game absence will be a huge boost for the Timberwolves, who are still battling for seeding in the Western Conference. The versatile shooting guard is averaging a career-high 29.5 points per game this season on very good 49.2/40.2/79.6 shooting splits. His return comes at an even more important time for the Wolves, following Jaden McDaniels’ knee injury. Obviously, Edwards should be a lock in fantasy lineups throughout Championship Week.

Dosunmu was on a heater before missing the last two games, but he’ll return to face Dallas. Anthony Edwards is questionable, and if Ant-Man is sidelined, Dosunmu could operate as the team’s top scorer and playmaker. Even if Edwards is cleared to play, Dosunmu has standalone value.

Smith was unable to extend his run of double-doubles to three games, but he has scored 20 points or more in three of his last six. The Rockets forward shot 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and the two blocks moved his total to four over the last three games. Since the All-Star break, Smith has provided sixth-round value in eight-cat formats. While there have been occasional hiccups, his production has been more consistent than it was earlier in the season.

With Alperen Şengün dominating on both ends of the floor, Durant’s 1-of-7 night from beyond the arc was not an issue. He still hit 20 points and dished out six assists, so this was not a bad night for him by any stretch of the imagination. Since the All-Star break, Durant has provided first-round value in eight-cat formats. The Rockets begin a four-game Week 23 on Tuesday against the Knicks.

After recording consecutive 30-point games, Şengün was limited to 14 in Friday’s win over the Grizzlies. To say he got back on track in New Orleans would be accurate, as the Rockets’ center was dominant in all phases. With Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels out, the three players the Timberwolves needed production from all struggled on Saturday. Randle shot 2-of-10 from inside the arc, with a 7-of-7 night at the foul line boosting his point total. Naz Reid (8/4/1/2) and Bones Hyland (six points, one rebound, two steals and two three-pointers) shot a combined 5-of-25 from the field, and that won’t get the job done against a team of Detroit’s caliber. DiVincenzo’s production in March has been subpar, with the Timberwolves guard entering Saturday having yet to record consecutive double-digit scoring games this month. Though Sheppard’s 28 minutes were fewer than the other starters, that was enough time for him to stuff the stat sheet. It took time, but Sheppard appears to be locked in as a starter. In that role over their last five games, he has averaged 15.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.6 steals, 1.0 block and 3.4 triples per game, which has led to top-20 production in nine-category leagues despite him shooting 40.3 percent from the floor during that stretch. Though the turnovers put a damper on his outing, he was able to set a new season high for rebounds in the win. Thompson’s 45 minutes of action featured noteworthy activity on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he picked his spots as a scorer and, on limited field-goal attempts, narrowly made it to double figures in points. Dosunmu continues to produce with Anthony Edwards (knee) out of the lineup, having scored at least 17 points in four straight games.
