Dieng has been upgraded from questionable to available. With Chet Holmgren (ankle) out, there may be room on the back end of the Thunder rotation for Dieng to play. However, that isn’t enough to make him worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Edwards missed Friday’s loss to the Jazz due to a one-game suspension for technical foul accumulation. He isn’t guaranteed to play on Sunday due to a lingering calf issue. However, he played through the sore calf on Thursday when the Timberwolves lost to the Lakers. Nickeil Alexander-Walker will likely remain in the starting lineup if Edwards doesn’t play.

Sunday’s game will be Gobert’s seventh straight missed game. The Timberwolves label the injury “low back injury maintenance.” Naz Reid will continue to serve as the starting center, and Luka Garza will play rotation minutes off the bench. Garza isn’t worth streaming, especially with Julius Randle potentially returning from a strained groin.

Randle has been sidelined since January, but he may be back in the lineup against Phoenix. Naz Reid, who has shined as a starter in place of Randle, would likely return to his role as the team’s sixth man, though he may continue to see a boost in minutes in Randle’s first few games back.

Dieng has missed Oklahoma City’s last four games, but his availability does not significantly impact the team’s rotation. Chet Holmgren (ankle) being out may free up a few minutes, but Jaylin Williams and Kenrich Williams are ahead of Dieng in the pecking order.

Caruso got a rest night against Atlanta on Friday, but he will be back in the lineup against San Antonio. With Isaiah Joe sidelined, Caruso should see a few extra minutes off the bench, where he has provided top-100 value in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks.

Joe’s lower back soreness hastened his exit from Friday’s win over the Hawks, and he will not be available on Sunday. Kenrich Williams may play additional rotation minutes, especially with Chet Holmgren (ankle) also out, but the Thunder will also have Alex Caruso available to absorb some of the available minutes. Caruso is the superior streaming option.

DiVincenzo returned from a toe injury that kept him out for over a month Thursday. He played 26 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back on Friday against the Jazz. DiVencenzo was active as he filled up the stat sheet Friday. The 28-year-old shooting guard’s production should improve as his minutes increase the further he gets away from the injury.

With Anthony Edwards suspended and Rudy Gobert (back) out Friday, Reid led the Timberwolves in shot attempts against the Jazz. The 25-year-old center wasn’t efficient, but got there on volume with 27 points on 25 shots. Reid also grabbed 11 rebounds to earn himself a double-double. He’s fantasy-relevant when Gobert is available, but gets a boost when inserted into the Minnesota starting lineup.

There’s nothing like facing a team ranked 27th in three-point percentage defense when you’re in a slump. Dort entered Friday’s game having shot 2-of-16 from three in his prior four games. He snapped out of that funk in a big way in Atlanta, shooting 6-of-11 from deep and recording his first 20-point game since February 1 (20 vs. Sacramento). Rostered in 17 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Dort has been ranked outside the top 175 in nine-cat formats over the past three weeks. Friday’s effort was a much-needed step in the right direction.

Williams has scored 20 points or more in three straight games for the first time in a month. The good news for fantasy managers is that the dip in scoring before this run did not do much to damage his fantasy value. Williams has been productive enough across the board to withstand the occasional trouble in a category, so he continues to provide third-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Oklahoma City heads to San Antonio, where its road trip will conclude on Sunday.

Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 30 points or more in three of his last four outings as he continues to build his MVP résumé for the team with the second-best record in the NBA. SGA being a top-10 player in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past three weeks represents a step back regarding his fantasy value, which says a lot about how good he’s been this season. Gilgeous-Alexander will look to end Week 17 on a high note when the Thunder visit San Antonio on Sunday.

Wallace was in the starting lineup after coming off the bench in Wednesday’s win over the Nets, with Isaiah Hartenstein heading to the bench. While the second-year guard offered limited production as a starter in Atlanta, he can still be a valuable option in points-punt team builds. As for Hartenstein, he contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one blocked shot in 27 minutes off the bench. And he may move into the starting lineup for Oklahoma City’s next game, as Chet Holmgren sprained his ankle during the first half. The Thunder visit the Spurs on Sunday.

NAW has come off the bench in Minnesota’s last three games, but he has still been productive. This was the fifth-straight game that he has scored in double figures. He may be in line for an even larger opportunity on Friday if Anthony Edwards’ 16th technical foul, which he picked up on Thursday, isn’t rescinded. Edwards is on track to be suspended against the Jazz, which would likely allow NAW to move into the starting unit, or at least take on extra minutes. Minnesota still has two more games this week, with the final one coming in Phoenix on Sunday.

DiVincenzo suited up for the first time since January 15 and was able to turn in a solid stat line in his return. He only played 23 minutes, but he was efficient and was able to provide value from beyond the arc, as well as in the rebound and assist categories. It wasn’t quite to the level that he was producing at before the injury, but it was good to see him back on the floor. Minnesota plays on Friday, which is the second night of a back-to-back. There is a decent chance that DiVincenzo misses that game, so keep an eye on the injury report.

The rookie has played well recently, and everything came together for him on Thursday. After recording the first double-double of his career in Minnesota’s last game, he followed that up with a new career-high for points. 16 of his 25 points came in the second half, and he stepped up after Anthony Edwards was ejected to nearly help Minnesota pull off the comeback. Edwards picked up his 16th technical foul, which will likely lead to him being suspended against the Jazz on Friday. That will provide Shannon Jr. with a great opportunity to build on this performance, assuming the technical doesn’t get rescinded.

After picking up the second technical, Edwards threw the basketball into the stands on his way to the locker room, which will certainly draw another punishment from the league. This was Edwards’ 16th technical foul, which means that he will be suspended for one game, unless one of the technicals that was called in this game is rescinded. Edwards will likely serve that suspension against the Jazz on Friday, barring the league stepping in. Whenever that takes place, and for the rest of Thursday’s game, Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will take on larger roles. Edwards finished with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers prior to his ejection.

A double-digit scorer in 12 straight games, the Thunder wing has been a third-round player in nine-cat formats since February 1. Williams ended a streak of five games in which he shot below 50 percent from the field on Wednesday, hitting that percentage in a win over the Nets. However, the field goal percentage hasn’t done much harm to his value, as J-Dub has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks. Williams remains a third-round player for the season, and it would be unsurprising if he cracked the top 25 by the end of the season. Oklahoma City finishes Week 17 and its current road trip with games against the Hawks (Friday) and Spurs (Sunday).

Gilgeous-Alexander has been so dominant this season that it’s nearly an achievement to hold him under 30 points. The Nets managed to do that on Wednesday, as he only attempted 11 shots from the field. However, SGA was 12-of-13 from the foul line, boosting the final point tally. Gilgeous-Alexander has “only” been a top-10 player since the trade deadline, indicating what fantasy managers have come to expect from him in recent seasons.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Monday’s overtime loss to the Timberwolves, Holmgren was sensational in Brooklyn. Not only were the 17 rebounds a season-high, but that’s the most he’s had in his NBA career. Add in the points, assists and defensive stats, and fantasy managers benefitted greatly from Holmgren’s robust stat line. Since returning from his fractured hip on February 7, Chet has provided top-20 value in nine-cat formats. The only concern is back-to-backs, as he hasn’t reached the point where the Thunder will let him play both ends. Given how far ahead of the pack Oklahoma City is in the West, there’s no need to push things in that regard.

Edwards has been dealing with a sore right calf recently, sitting out most of the fourth quarter of Monday’s comeback win over the Thunder. However, the malady did not keep him from making two huge defensive plays in overtime. If he’s unable to play against the Lakers, Nickeil Alexander-Walker is the likely replacement in the starting lineup. Also, rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. has played well recently, earning additional rotation minutes.

Having been out since January 15 with a toe injury, DiVincenzo appears on track to return at some point during the Timberwolves’ current road trip. His participation in Wednesday’s practice does not guarantee Donte will be available for Thursday’s game against the Lakers, as he is officially questionable. Initially on a two-way deal, the 2023 second-round pick has played well enough this season to earn a standard contract. Clark has appeared in 17 games this season after missing the entire 2023-24 campaign with a ruptured Achilles tendon, and he has been a factor as a wing defender. The contract gives Clark some security, and while he may not significantly impact fantasy basketball, he’s a helpful option for the Timberwolves, especially defensively.
